It struck me just this week, actually, when I was going out to try and solo Mogu'shan Vaults (10H Will of the Emperor is some shit, let me tell you), that damn, I actually liked MoP more than WoD. It seems to me like it was a place to explore, that I was an adventurer, not some commander of some shitty garrison. I don't really like the whole "COMMANDER YOUR GARRISON IS THE SHIT AND WE'RE GONNA ROFLSTOMP THE IRON HORDE WITH YOUR FORCES YEAHHHHH!"

I mean, I'm not the only one here on Draenor, though. What about the other adventurers that came with me?

I also wasn't really gripped by the theme of the expansion either, I guess. Oh boy, an excuse to go back to back-in-MY-day Draenor, using Garrosh, who's now dead. Whoopee. It's for that reason that I'm not all that crazy about the raids, which are just ogres and fire. The only zone I really liked was Spires of Arak, because it wasn't governed by my goddamn garrison the whole damn time. Just leave me to my questing, guys, jesus!

Tanaan has some promise, though. Timeless Isle was a bit grindy, I will admit. I liked the Isle of Thunder more. Probably because ToT is my second favorite raid instance outside of Ulduar.

@@Lateon,

I haven't really gotten to that point yet so I cannot say if I like it one way or the other, but from an in-character perspective, Pandaria is so much more important than Draenor.

Of course, my main has never BEEN to Pandaria, unlike a frustratingly large amount of people I actually like being native to She-Zin Su. So Wei Yu stepping on to the shores of his ancestral homeland for the first time . . . and finding it in flames is so much more powerful an experience than even going back in time could compete with.

For my alt however, a Draenei Vindicator, the story is quite different.

Can I just say that people who use bots, especially in PvP, are the scum of Azeroth and deserve a full IP ban.

What do the bots do exactly? I've heard of aimbots for FPSs but not one's here.

Basically play the game for them. Blizzard recently banned a shitload of bots.

They're used to farm honor/gold, despite the fact that honor is VERY easy to get this xpac.

What's the point of playing the game then?

Botters say it's to skip all the "boring stuff," despite the fact that honor and gold are VERY easy to get now. Plus, it's kinda like skipping in the grocery store line. Sure, you get to skip the "boring stuff," but it doesn't make you any less of a douche.

I'm so happy, I just looted Reins of the Onyxian Drake. Now if Ashes would drop, I'd be stoked.

I've been soloing a bunch of Cataclysm raids since I'm terrible at saving gold.

Cata raids are pretty easy to solo. The only two I refuse to do are Dragon's Soul, because fuck Spine of Deathwing, and Firelands is easier with a buddy, I find.

When SoO becomes soloable, I'll be doing that.

What's the difference between a raid and a dungeon?

Raids are max level instances for 10-30 players, and award high level gear, or tier gear, basically end game content, and dungeons are 5 mans for leveling and stuff.

Oh, and Raids are generally much harder and have more boss mechanics and mobs.

They sound way more fun and epic (in the classical sense) however.

Which ones? The raids or dungeons?

The raids, they sound more large scale and with bigger threats, higher stakes, and more opportunities for heroics.

Oh. Well yeah, they're supposed to feel that way

Spine is easy for melee.

Fireland's main danger is the CC from pulling large packs of mobs that can leave you incapacitated so long they kill you or knock you off of the Firelands.

I have all the drakes except for Blue Proto.

Currently I have TK, UP, ICC, VoA, Throne, Vortex, Hyjal, Kara, ZG, and Strath on a weekly farm.

Only dungeon/raid drop I think I don't have (pre-MoP) and am not farming is Mimiron's head.

The thing I hate about spine is that you have to keep alert and constantly move back and forth or get thrown off. It's not a big deal, as there aren't any interesting tmog sets, and the drakes DW drops look ugly to me.

As for Firelands, yeah, that's why I don't like doing it alone. Shannox is annoying with his hounds, I always get stunned and then my health is drained pretty fast.

Really?

Are you not in HM/BRF gear?

Or are you in 25H? I wouldn't recommend 25H, it's a little too rough--just stick to 10H.

I am at a loss for words.

I got pretty lucky on a few.

Onyxian only took me like 20 runs maybe?

I got both DW mounts within 2 weeks and it was only my 4/5th time killing him.

Malygos mounts took 20-30 kills I think.

The rest were just a matter of patience (so much hatred for green proto).

Also, I misspoke, I have all the drakes except Blue Proto, Time-Lost, and the Cata drakes (I only have the easy one 1 of those).

Emerald Drake needs to be reworked. It's not nearly cool enough for the amount of work needed to get it.

I'm also not looking forward to the Camel mount. Making the statues non-targetable was just Blizzard taking out their frustration on us for some reason.

I'm in all Highmaul and BRF gear. LFR gear, mostly. I have a piece of heroic gauntlets from HM, and one of the legendary rings, and my Item level is 656.

I mean, they don't drain my health that fast, I think Shannox is doing that, but I every time I unstun, they stun me again, so I can't do anything, and my divine shield only lasts for like 5 seconds. I main a Ret Pally.

Wow. I've been farming Invincible for some time, and Ashes, those are the ones I want the most. I got Onyxia on the 13th attempt.

Invincible took me six tries to get, speaking from personal experience. I solo'd that shit on 25H at level 90 - DW frost with Death Siphon was stupid strong.

These days, I do all of the Cata raids on 25H for the mad dolla they all give. 125-135g a boss, plus the loot they drop? Tasty. None of them give me any trouble, but then again, I do have a 687 equipped ilvl. Shannox sometimes gets Face Rage off, but as an Unholy Death Knight, I can just make my pet break me out.

After that, I usually do Ulduar and ICC for more cash, and am back to doing BT, Hyjal, and Sunwell for the new pets, and then do 10H MSV (sans the last boss, because that is almost impossible) for more cash and Elegon's mount. If I had more multistrike to sustain Breath of Sindragosa as Blood, I bet I could do 25N Protectors in Terrace of Endless Spring, but I just can't dish out enough damage before the last one stomps me.

I imagine MoP raids, even SoO will be soloable next xpac, provided the level cap is raised to 110, which wouldn't surprise me. I don't solo enough raids, just mainly ICC, and TK. I need to do Ulduar, if just for the experience.
