Broccoli 127 October 11, 2012 Share October 11, 2012 (edited) I'm sure many of you here know about Walmarts recent release of a brony shirt: http://screen.yahoo....s-30836004.html The video is removed I think, so I went to read the comments. Apparently a large majority of the users don't know what a brony is and most of them were either like WTF or GAY or "people these days..." I know there are haters for everything, but many of the comments were just very naive and very very biased/stereotypical. I can guarantee those who commented something like "Men watching ponies? GAY!" do not know what gay means. If you read the comments you'll probably notice. Just because people ouside the demographic age group like the show doesn't mean they are sexually oriented or do not have a life. Also, the phrase "get a life" is one of the worst things you can say to anyone. It is very biased, since someones definition of enjoying life may be different from another. I was just dissapointed that people commented with their first reaction upon finding out that there are adult male MLP fans. It is like taking a book with an unappealing title and saying that the book is very lame and stupid without actually opening it or reading the summery. Feel free to post your opinion on this matter. When I first knew about this from Equestria Daily, I thought it was quite funny I wasn't angry at Walmarts decision at all. *It also seems that from looking at the comments, many people still like the original MLP show, but not gen 3/3.5 Edited October 11, 2012 by S_P_A_C_E /) * (\ 1 -"My little pony, not yours!" Shiki 5,855 October 11, 2012 Share October 11, 2012 Did you ever notice that people outside of the brony community who are haters typically cannot seem to type out a single sentence without making 12 grammatical, 23 moral, and 70 argumental mistakes? I simply facehoof at this kind of thing. 7 You'll be entranced by me ♥
XrosOver 613 October 11, 2012 Share October 11, 2012 To quote a friend of mine I have supplied a picture that sums it up quite nicely. Haters gonna hate (and make several grammatical errors) on anything and everything. 5 The mind of the host will desperately try to create memories where none exist. Simple right? AnonyPoni 564 October 12, 2012 Share October 12, 2012 Haters gonna hate, Ponies gonna pwn Anyway, Haters are just Haters. They'll just hate because they can, generally *shrugs*. As for Walmart, I think they said that they were sorry for the shirt. They weren't Trolling us, they were simply ignorant about bronies
Crispy 5,563 October 12, 2012 Share October 12, 2012 Doesn't matter. Target's done the same thing, now. They're just trying to cash in on a subculture that's rising. Can't blame them. They just suck at it, is all. 1 GET IN THE PIT On 8/23/2012 at 1:54 AM, Djenty said: ON MLP 4UMS ERRYTHIN IS SRS

Hawk 100 October 12, 2012 Share October 12, 2012 (edited) Yeah I wasn't even remotely angry about the whole t-shirt fiasco. In fact I found it hilarious. They need to hire better research people because that is kind of an embarrassing fail haha. Also, Haters are gonna hate. It is in their nature. Miss Light Diamond 2,802 October 12, 2012 Share October 12, 2012 The Walmart thing, Meh I don't really care. But the haters... They watched A Single Video and then just kinda jumped to conclusions that aren't really true. But just like what Anony poni said, "Haters Gonna Hate, Ponies gonna pwn." Something something something something Ask me stuff...and all my OC's
Samurshy 708 October 12, 2012 Share October 12, 2012 (edited) I used to be a bit of a hater. But that was until I watched Dj. Alex S.'s My Little Pony glitch remix PMV. I was blown away, completely and utterly flabbergasted, but above all intrigued. So as soon as it came out for viewing on Netflix I sat down and watched the first episode. At first I was like "Ha! People watch this shit?" but it left enough of a cliff hanger that I wanted to watch the next episode. So I ended up watching the next episode, at the end when they used the elements to defeat Nightmare Moon, nostalgia flooded my senses. I could remember watching power rangers when I was a little tike, and the elements reminded me of the best show on earth. So I continued to watch episode after episode, it was not before long that I had burned through every episode in season 1. I am a big Otaku, and the show reminded me a lot of an anime series. As soon as I realized that the show was actually good I embraced it and it's community. Their are haters for everything, people who call Otakus "Weeaboos", people who call virgins " ugly losers who have no life" (as if the meaning to life is to have intercourse with as many people as possible), and people who call bronies "gay". I find it a tad bit disappointing that the naive people's first impression about bronies is that we watch a girl's cartoon from 1982 (because the majority of us don't), so in that regard I am kind of angry. But from what I have heard, it was an honest mistake on Wal Mart's part because they said "vintage sells"(not in this case). So I am not angry at Wal Mart, just disappointed that they did not do one iota of research on the brony community. ( -_-; ) EDIT: LOL I said I watched every episode in season 3 instead of season 1, I must have season 3 on the brain. Fghik 360 October 12, 2012 Share October 12, 2012 I'm starting to think if Shawn was as excited for Rainbow Dash the same way he is for Ferb's Grandfather people would be more accepting of the MLP community. But what do I know? I'm just a stupid kid. ҉ .Eternal ¸.•'´¯Chaos¯´'•.¸Comes¸.•'´¯With¯´'•.¸Chocolate¸.•'´¯Rain ҉
Cherry Blossom 864 October 12, 2012 Share October 12, 2012 I found the Walmarts T-shirt thing to be humorous and I'm surprised Walmart even started selling those. Just as always, hater comments are just pointless. I mean what is the main objective of being negative about a person's interests. Sadly, emotions are just tools... duidamasterXD 9,627 October 12, 2012 Share October 12, 2012 To be honest I think it's really awesome that they are trying to appeal to our fanbase, I do kind of wish they had sat down for a half hour and tried to figure out exactly what would appeal to us, but I appreciate the effort. I hope our response doesn't scare them away from us
