writing The Angel

In the dark she hides,

waiting for her chance to shine.

 

She's been there all of her life,

hoping that one could come and set her free.

 

We crossed paths before,

and I failed her expectations.

 

I was able to be near the angel,

but couldn't see who she was.

 

Now,

the Angel is right next to me.

 

Conquering my fear,

I decided to speak with the Angel.

 

Out of the dark she rose,

the scars of her pain following suit.

 

Into my arms she falls,

my protection that she seeks.

 

I promised to take care of my Angel,

and do this I must.

 

The darkness beckons for her to return,

but I shall battle this until I die.

 

For I have loved my Angel for such a long time,

but never had the chance to truly tell her so.

 

But now,

my dreams are slowly coming true.

 

For my Angel has finally come out of hiding,

hiding for months on end.

 

We met in June,

but we now decide to keep moving.

 

I promise to protect you forever,

until I can fight no more.

 

For I am your knight,

and you are my Angel.
