visual art Photos I Took From My School Field Trip (LARGE IMAGES)

i have post-poned this long enough now, i think. guess it's finally time to upload the pictures i took at the school field trip i had some weeks ago.

i hadn't planned to take any pictures, but it turns out that one of the teachers had a camera with him to get material from the school trip. i asked if i could borrow the camera, and i was allowed to! so therefor i took a lot of pictures at there as a result, some of which might even get used for the material the camera that was used was for!

but i digress... here are the photos i liked that i took at the school trip (warning: they are extremely large!):

post-374-0-29288000-1350647818_thumb.jpg

the first picture i got was a bit of a surprise. some students had found a spider walking around at the leaves, kinda big, larger than any other spiders i've seen in my life, anyway. it was hard to take a pic, because the poor thing was trying to hide in the leaves away from the rain, but i finally was able to, after a lot of sharpness hassle, get this picture of him semi-hiding under the leaves. i was gonna make a better one, but the rain was too much ATM...

post-374-0-02201600-1350648085_thumb.jpg

don't let the fungus bite. a mushroom that's attached to the moss on the boulder (i'd assume). i have another version of the picture with the lens focused on the 'straw' sticking out, but i liked this one better.

post-374-0-07652700-1350648205_thumb.jpg

someone in the class threw a banana peel away x3 and since that i have some kind of fetish pure interest in garbage i had to take a picture of it. i like how the straws sort-of 'framed' in the peel here.

some typical Swedish nature, i.e. lots of conifer trees and such. not much to say about it; decent forest photography.

post-374-0-65493500-1350648785_thumb.jpg

more mushrooms, and rocks! i like mushrooms and rocks, so it's best of both worlds here. :3

the road which we arrived at, after trudging through some kilometer(s) of (very) muddy trails.

post-374-0-22270400-1350648880_thumb.jpg

this is the last picture of mushrooms i swear!

post-374-0-57636600-1350648931_thumb.jpg

a nice green, fir tree surrounded by gorgeous, reddened plants. this colour balance pleases Viscra Maelstrom very much~

post-374-0-88817600-1350649067_thumb.jpg

this ain't even close to the amount of mud we were trudging through, but anyway, have a nice close-up picture of what we spent half the day doing in the woods.

post-374-0-53744500-1350649300_thumb.jpg

i like signs, too. here's one "S"-sign, probably meaning "stig", which is Swedish for "path", and here's one "Nature Reservoir" sign on a pole. poles are cool too when angled. so 3D.

...and into the open fields.

post-374-0-13608900-1350649994_thumb.jpg

close-up of an electric fence. those water drops sure are brave enough to hang on there!

post-374-0-48705500-1350650116_thumb.jpg

should have taken more pictures from different angles of this location. oh well, time-restraints.

post-374-0-00346900-1350650239_thumb.jpg

and we have arrived at our destination! typical Swedish building right there.

post-374-0-57430400-1350650302_thumb.jpg

window-shot of one of the buildings, having several of so-called Dalecarlian horses standing at the window sill.

post-374-0-64638100-1350650458_thumb.jpg

more signs! this one was hanging out at that oblong building i took a picture of. sign says "Break Cottage", roughly translated, meaning that it's a cottage meant to rest of in.

post-374-0-62442400-1350650629_thumb.jpg

couple of benches outside. it was too cold and rainy to sit outside at there, though.

post-374-0-42871300-1350650760_thumb.jpg

close-ups are cool. have a close-up of a Danish beer can.

post-374-0-20315900-1350650913_thumb.jpg

informative sign about fire. i think yall can read this one with no problem.

post-374-0-08498400-1350651024_thumb.jpg

horsey! i was lucky enough to have this fella move up to the 'gap' of the pen, where i was able to get some good close-ups of him/her. :3

post-374-0-22774600-1350651131_thumb.jpg

the (beautiful) 'gap' that made me unable to get any closer to horsey.

post-374-0-14014800-1350651225_thumb.jpg

fire place. i suspect the 'fire' sign was talking about this.

post-374-0-61828000-1350651342_thumb.jpg

more red buildings. like the placement in this one.

post-374-0-30487000-1350651419_thumb.jpg

i was surprised to find a manhole admidst all the grass and green here. o.o

post-374-0-22658000-1350651494_thumb.jpg

i got nothing for this one. it's a house, whaddya want me to say about it???

post-374-0-13969200-1350651531_thumb.jpg

a bonfire stack, i'd assume this is, which, i assume again, is gonna be used for next Walpurgis Night here.

post-374-0-38359400-1350651670_thumb.jpg

sort-of a sequel to the gray leaf in my other picture thread? a brown, withered leaf lying in the grass with colourful, green grass.

post-374-0-52365600-1350651811_thumb.jpg

rosey-red bushies. c:

post-374-0-23186000-1350651843_thumb.jpg

one of the coolest pictures i took at the trip. the reflection of the horizon, blended in with the frame of the windows, as well as the drapery of the insides, makes for quite a delicate looking view.

post-374-0-09348600-1350651953_thumb.jpg

close-up of rusty, metal... something. hook, hatch? i dunno what it is lmao.

post-374-0-11317500-1350652026_thumb.jpg

HEY LOOK SEXY BOOT FETISH RIGHT HERE what my boots has been going through that day. i dunno why i took it, it just came to me.

post-374-0-36201100-1350652136_thumb.jpg

Lady Rarity Pony's wet dream some kind of slimy stuff i found outside. i dunno what it was. i wish i touched it.

post-374-0-47359000-1350652237_thumb.jpg

not too many pictures remaining now! here's a window-shot with roseys inside. Finesthour would be proud, i'd suppose.

post-374-0-79330000-1350652306_thumb.jpg

old-timey lantern ahoy. nice angle.

what i would have wanted to ride if i weren't so awkward IRL. seriously, it even has mud around it!

post-374-0-96422600-1350652444_thumb.jpg

sugar cubes for horseys. literally.

on a more serious note though, these are called 'hayballs', i believe, which is containers stored with hay for horse consumption during the fall/winter.

post-374-0-05645000-1350652448_thumb.jpg

soon...

and that's all of them! boy this took way longer to post than i first expected it to. i hope you enjoy looking at my photowhoringwannabeephotofinish pictures. :3

I love the close-up of the beer can (no, not because I like beer myself :P ). But because of that focus... damn...

-I was on a zoo trip 2 days ago, with my class. Shot a good ammount of pictures there as well. Should upload them once I get them edited. Won't be doing that for a while, though...

Wow, that's some really good photography. People always seem to overlook the little things in life, like that little spider and the beer can. Good job!

  • 2 weeks later...

i decided to tinker with one of the images in Photoshop today. well, i tinkered with 2 images, but the other one is incomplete, and this one is complete, and turned out rather beautifully:

post-374-0-49088300-1352119526_thumb.png

it's the best picture i took that day, the reflection in the window, turned post-apocalyptic style. kinda. it's dark, it's gritty, it's filthy as fuck, and i just loved how it turned out.

tell me what you think.

Dayum, I like that. I love the darkness in it, and how the colors of the sky sticks out, yet blends with the gray of the water and the darkness of the trees.

Great work.

I HAD TO FALL TO LOSE IT ALL BUT IN THE END IT DOESN'T EVEN MATTER /WRISTS

Great work.

the 'water' is actually the trees you are looking at! i decided not to paint over that part with any of the layers i had, so it has the brightness of the original picture, which surreally enough made the setting look like water. not a design-choice i had in mind at the beginning, but a satisfying result nonetheless.

edit: work in progress

post-374-0-40658900-1352725565_thumb.png

an edit of the leaf, turned into a magma-ish hue. trying to figure out how to make it glow, then it should be mostly complete.

Sweden looks a lot like Holland, only better. Also, in Holland we say natuur reservaat. In Sweden they say natur reservat. That's pretty much the same thing too.

Sorry for the thing that has been in my sig for like a lot of time, I ragequit because I got a warning and then never bothered to get back to the forums and change my sig xd
