There is an abandoned castle in the middle of a forest in the outskirts of Canterlot, slowly crumbling into ruins. The place was used long, long time ago by a unicorn faction and is now completely uninhabited and erased from the history.

 

A multimillionaire pony recently bought the property though – he plans on transforming it into a luxury hotel. Its location is awful and its unwelcoming atmosphere makes the place even worse, but the new landowner is convinced that the castle will attract ponies seeking for something new and a little relaxation away from the crowded city of Canterlot.

 

With that in mind, renovations were barely made on the place in order to keep the same gloomy, yet fascinating atmosphere from thousand years ago. Only a few beds were placed on randomly picked rooms and some light bulbs were installed.

 

The hotel was advertised all around Equestria and the incredibly low price in fact caught the attention of a group of ponies. They are strangers to each other and they will be the very first guests of the brand new Platinum Woods Hotel.

Welcome to the Platinum Woods Hotel RP!

This will be a Slice-of-Life focused on the relation between the characters, therefore no deaths, gore, summoning villains, etc. I’m thinking of it as haunted hotel. I’ll be controlling a few events, but nothing really scary and life-threatening. Just a few unusual and ghostly activities for comedy purposes. I'm also open for opinions, ideas and suggestions, if you have any. This is only the vague idea I first had, but we can think of more details together~

 

 

Rules and Notes:

• No Godmodding, Alicorns or Mary Sues (i.e. flawless, overpowered and perfect characters);
• I want this to be a quite serious RP. So please, let’s try to keep everything organized;
• If you feel like discontinuing the RP for whatever reason or just have to stay absent for a few days, please contact me through this OOC thread or via PM;
• This won’t be posted on the Advanced section, but I still want very detailed and quality posts with at least five lines or so;
• You can choose to be something else aside from a guest (as long as we both agree with it), like manager, receptionist, maid or any kind of hotel-ish job;
• Romance and pairing-up are accepted and encouraged as long as you keep NSFW content away;
• You must wait until at least two other players post before you can post again. This is to keep the RP in a suitable pace for everyone;
• Any questions, please ask. I’ll be happy to answer them and clear your doubts.

I think this could be very interesting. If my character is ok i would like to join with Iron Wing . Because Iron Wing works on construction sites as a job, she could helped with the renovations or still has to do something there. Would fit nice into the scene.

Hm... Sounds good to me. If you want to be one of the hotel workers instead of being a guest, sounds nice! Perhaps I just need a little more in-depth details of why are your character there, what exactly is she in charge of, and stuff like that. I can help you coming up with a few ideas if you want.

Well, the idea is that Iron Wing is in charge of repairing rooms and stairs within the castle. I bet the castle has some towers too. Because towers tend to break down if not maintained, Iron could build a new one. Would take a while but thats her job. Of course after work she can use the rooms and the relaxion offers of the hotel too. On days she waits for supplies (building material) she is like every other guest.

My guy wouldn't mind too much I guess... When it comes to that kind of stuff, his brain kinda just blocks it off, and makes him dumb at the topic, meaning it can go to a certain length before he finds it uncomfortable... Or even understands it~

If you're on Windows, then CTRL + C will copy the link when you select it, and CTRL + V will paste it where your marker is...

If you're on a Mac, then I think it's Command + C and Command + V... Or something. I've barely ever touched a Mac.

Unless you can just right-click and copy/paste?

So i was thinking before we get to far into this, I think this should go by real time. Hours in the real day are followed by the hours in the RP. I think this might make it easyer in terms of keeping up to date on what time it is in the RP. Tell me what you guys think of it.
