New episodes via iTunes?

Cantankerous

I hope I'm posting this question in the right place. Using the search engine didn't turn up anything.

I was wondering if new episodes would be available for purchase via iTunes immediately upon their airing or if there would be a delay. In my house the only TV with the Hub is the family TV which doesn't provide the desired level of privacy making watching new episodes from iTunes the best bet. Will I be able to buy episode one of season three on November 10th?

From what I've seen, episodes become available on iTunes several days after airing. Usually, the last episode shows up on iTunes before the next one airs; but you should be prepared to miss out on seeing it on the air date itself.

However, iTunes is not your only option. There are several YouTubers who typically record and upload the episode within a couple of hours after its airing, and we always add a decent HD YouTube stream to the episode pages in our calendar. The video quality is usually a bit lacking due to YouTube's strong compression, but it gets the job done and is by far the easiest way to catch a new episode.

If you want the best possible quality, finding the episode on BitTorrent is the way to go - they usually find their way there about as fast as they get onto YouTube. If you go this route, however, be absolutely sure to purchase the episodes as soon as you can - iTunes will have them in even better quality, with surround sound and no watermarks; and you'll support the show's creators. I should note that we do not condone unjustified piracy on MLP Forums, so you'll have to look elsewhere for specific instructions on torrenting something. Google is your friend. ;)

Season 2 of Tranformers Prime and season 2 of Pound Puppies are not available on iTunes and the new Care Bears series is not available either. It appears that Hasbro may have abandoned selling their series on iTunes in favor of their deal with Netflix.
