writing A sense of dread

Feeling in such a way, on before the literal torrent of a storm that is aproaching with it's vast expanse and powerful forces. I cringe at the thought of such, taking it's toll, leaving me breathless on the serenade that is and shall be my own pity. Let it be for me to wallow in, better than that of a nation, as a whole, to weep in my stead.

I hold my own, only to be afraid of that which I stand against, my own, and yours. Stand alone, stand... alone.

Face forward, accept the torrent, it cascades throughout the body. This feeling, amongst all angst, anger, and fear. I stand alone, gripping this lonely feeling. Among none, among my own.

Nevermind the stance I take, nevermind the feelings I once held, I am losing my grip on this world and unto you. this feeling...

Oh, how I weep... this feeling.

A saint for all of us wish whenever storm is approaching. Someone who could taken the blunt of the furious wind, water and earth. However, we can only hope for so much...so little that we can wish for...so little that we can dream of...but it shall be enough to quench the thirst for safety. Because if a whole nation can escape such horrors...then a miracle has happened, and our prayers have been answered. Oh such a beautiful feeling, most would agree...

And, with this hurricane sandy on aproach, all I feel is this accursed sense of dread. Here in northern new york, we will be getting hit pretty hard also, based on what all the weather stations keep telling us.

Considering what people went through with Katrina and all that, fear I think is something more than natural don't you think? Let's hope that Sandy takes a trip to "Nowhere" and not start being such a jerk to USA. :D

Well, I guess we will see tomorrow... thats when it is supposed to hit us. If all goes well it will just be a minor wind storm... worst case scenarion is loss of power and other things for weeks on end.

Well, gotta look at the positive side. A storm would be perfect material to use for another if your workings. Natural disasters tend to do so, for those who have the gifted mind. :)

Well I dunno... My mind has been pretty messed up lately.... I keep getting the urge to write about a potato...

And you read twinkle twinkle here we are.... there are many other things I have been wanting to write... many ideas that I have been having that make me wonder if I am losing my grip on reality...

All in the life of me...

Ah...my dear friend, there's not a worse punishment for a writer, whether voluntarily or unvoluntarily, than blocking your own desires of writing. If you want to write about a potato or whatever else, do it. You shouldn't worry about grip on sanity and such trivial things. To any writer, the main, first and foremost mission, is to unlock every idea and put into paper, REGARDLESS of what the subject is about. This is something all of us writers should have in mind. Check out me. I want to continue writing my fic, but I don't because I don't want to force it. It's not a current desire, and I don't have a desire to write anything right now. Something that can easily change in a matter of SECONDS. Write what your mind/heart wants. Do't deny them, or else you shall pay dearly with worry and more worry. :)

Ah... would you like to know about true sadness? It is a rather interesting theory that other people seem to think I am crazy for believing in... they use fats and definitions to try and prove me wrong... but I know my philosophical standpoints are rather acurate if you are not an ignorant person...

To be completely honest, I wouldn't care any less if they call me crazy. In fact, I take it as a compliment. Because they consider me different, which is what we ALL are. We all are crazy, in some way. The only difference, is how much do we acknowledge it, and how crazy we are. That's what we can control.

Sadness is not necessarily a bad thing, nor is it really the opposite of happiness. We need sadness as it is a relaxant from joy.

I dont really see sadness and happiness as emotions...

They are also both unique to every person.

I find it hard to describe the thoughts I have on such things... I attempted to philosophically explain it in that one thread, but I was unable to fully capture the acute essence that is yearning to be freed from my tyrannical sentience that is a brain.

I know what my True sadness is, it isn't what most people think of when they hear "sad". Its not at all like that. the only thing about sadness that is universally the same, no matter what definition it has: It can possibly lead to depression if you are not careful.

It makes me wonder, even if you do not fully grasp the concept of true sadness, what is yours?

You might not want to bother responding to that question, consider it a rhetoric... unless you think you can answer it.

Quote

Sadness is emotional pain associated with, or characterized by feelings of disadvantage, loss, despair, helplessness and sorrow. These feelings of certain things are usually negative.

AHAH! you just made my point.... you automaticly associate negativity with sadness...

WHich, in the case of true sadness, is not the case. True sadness is not "Boo-hoo, cry cry cry" it is so much more.

I am beginning to wonder though... am I the only person who can make and see this connection?

You must, for I declare it, that you read the text above this.... hear the words, and make sense of them... understand them if possible.

Will try, my good sir *bows*

I could not say what would be my true state of happiness...or sadness. It really is a difficult thing to say. But I like to think that sadness and happiness are deeply related. Not as opposites, but as conjoint feelings. Anytime there's something happy, something sad happened at the same time. The difference lies in which of them is stronger than the other, but both are always there. And it is true that sadness might not mean happiness...just as happiness might not mean positive. Perhaps both ARE related only to their..."stereotipical" feelings, so to speak, but just lower depending on the emotion. Perhaps there is NO Full state of happiness and sadness, just as there is no fully lighted room nor fully darkened room. There's always that speck.

They are truly words that escape our total comprehension...wouldn't you agree?

post-6541-0-96969200-1351473363.png Yes... oh so wholeheartedly... I find myself wondering about such things...

Are you at all curious as to what my true sadness is?

Well, after much thought... much... straining thought... I deduced that my girlfreind id my true sadness. Now, that sounds incredibly strange, being that whenever I speak to her, I am over elated and always fille with an indescribable joy. But, as i define, in myt own unique way, sadness... I find that she is the thing thayt keeps me balanced... I find my inner peace with her in my thoughts, such is why she is my "True sadness."

And I must say, you truly are a great mind to converse with, you and I share many unique traits of mental flexibility that I do not see very often....

Dude, if you start saying strange for something you say is your belief then you're going the wrong way. :P But seriously though, sadness and happiness are both things that more or less try and reflect our true meanings. Perhaps you confuse sadness with happiness....or perhaps you are right. Just be sure that what you feel doesn't affect your mind in the end. Lest your heart and your mind will turn against you...and hell hath nor fury like oneself.

And...er...thank you. To be honest, I'm like this because...the theme so happens to be like it. I'm quite the multifacetic person (BUCK YEAH!), and I love every second I'm random (DOUBLE BUCK YEAH!), but I also happen to be a thinker (...NOT-SO-SURE BUCK YEAH!). I have the slight feeling that I turned such a thinker ever since a traumatic event in my past, but no matter. At least if this way I can connect with people, be it so. I could not be more glad that I can. :)
