How can anyone be able to pay for an awesome animation program like this?

I understand that big businesses are using this *cough*MLP*cough*, but why can't people like me be able to afford it?

I know for a fact that it is the best animation program out there, so why not make it available at a reasonable price?

I remember getting into it from one of my high school classes, I wanted it sooooo bad, but NO, can't afford it!

Do you have any thoughts?

BTW, I don't really support piracy or anything like that.

Business <- pretty much this, company no that its a steep price but there aware people will pay it so why lower it, but there are alternatives that are free if you just look for them.

Thank you, I just found something called Synfig, so I might try that out!

But there are going to be times when I am desperate! lol XD

I own a legal copy of all of Adobe's software, from Photoshop, Illustrator, Flash, Lightroom, Premiere, After Effects, and much more. How did I get them?

A crazy high discount price through my college. While Photoshop CS6 alone is about $700, Adobe's Master Collection is about $2400. I got everything for about $600.

That being said, my computer can't handle half of the programs, so I actually need to get a new computer in order to use some of the more impressive programs :(

Yes, it's pretty much made for businesses and professionals, not for normal people just to mess around with. It's a very complex and extremely well made software that took years to develop, so it's just natural that Adobe wants to put a high price on it.

But to be honest, it's rather easy to find a cracked version for free. I don't normally support piracy, but since it's so expensive, I don't really see the harm of pirating it if it's strictly to be used for your own entertainment and not for commercial reasons.

Also, I don't know if you're aware, but you can download a 30-days free trial with all of the capabilities of the full version. After 30 days it will ask you to purchase it though.

There's also a new feature where you can pay $49(?) dollars a month to use any of their software. For me, it's better to own a copy and have it on hand, but some people may like the quick way better.

I actually have no idea why Flash is so expensive, and I use it on a regular basis for work.

The funny thing is, Flash is far from the best animation software available, and it's also not the most expensive. Don't get me wrong, Flash is a great tool. It's great for what it's meant to do... animate, but it's pretty limiting in terms of design. As well as Flash, I also own Toonboom, which I believe is what Disney used for some of their films, and it's far more sophisticated. It's also a bit more complicated, I actually haven't had the chance to sit down and work out how to use it yet.

However, there are free options available, if you're interested in something more basic. Have you tried using Pencil?

Pancakes taste like well seasoned DVD cases.
