Feedback On New OC?

Meet my new OC Harley, AKA Shadowmask.

He's a rogue, a womaniser, a fashionista, a narcissist and a general badass.

Feedback? Also, thoughts on changing his name? I'm not sure if I'm happy with his name even though I've changed it about 20 times e - e

My previous list of names was: Felix, Harley, Reuben, Victor, Walter, Louis, Vincent and Theodore.

NOTE: I'm aware it would look better if his markings on his legs had a gradient but it's difficult for me to paint characters with gradients in their design.

Oddly, it's not XD It was more that I needed to create a pegasus since I don't have any pegasus characters. It was influenced by the music video for Stand And Deliver by Adam And The Ants = w=

I don't care that he looks like he's on the older side of life, I'm sure he's still a complete badass!

As for critiquing it... no flaws! 10/10, 5*/5*!

Your art is great! The wings are particularly good.

His color schemes and mask designs are great as well.

If I'm to nit-pick, I'd say his cutie mark could be a bit higher on his flank. Other than that, that's all the criticism I have to give.

Thank you very much! Yes, I didn't want him to be very young, I wanted him to be mature and experienced and mischievous to add to his charm and badassery! XD

Very cool design, though I doubt that mask will do much good to hide his identity...

The ring in his ear seems somewhat oddly placed and the golden stripe in his tail seems ...off, maybe make that white or change it to a golden strip of cloth woven into the hair.

As for a name. Verence? Chuckles? Dashing?

The mask isn't for hiding his identity, it's just a little accessory~ He's into fashion and likes to look sharp. He usually steals under cover of darkness or crowds, hence his nickname "Shadow Mask".

The gold earring and stripe in his tail is just to put more gold into his design as the amount of gold without those two things looks a little off to me. To be fair, I dislike the earring so it probably won't stay for much longer. I think I'll replace the earring with a gold stripe in his mane somewhere to balance out the tail = w=

As in flaws, I can only agree with the posts before. Cutie mark is a bit low, golden stripe doesn't really flow with other hairs in the tail. The earring should just face the other way, I like it personally.

I just uploaded a revised design XD The stripe on his tail wasn't really supposed to flow in the direction of the tail. I think he looks better now though, but I couldn't decide wether to change his eye colour or not e - e

Hmmm... Seems to be a pretty good piece of art. Looking at it for a while though, I'm starting to see inconsistently sized and shaped legs (mostly front legs), and the nose seems wider at its base than it is at the tip. Not sure if that's intentional.

 

Straight bangs don't seem to go well with me for your description of your OC though. Whenever I see straight bangs on a person, they're either socially awkward, 'square' and nerdy like Twilight. Not sure what you think of straight bangs though.
