Alright, this is death metal. Sure, it's a little bit different, but great nonetheless. Death are the masters of the genre.

 

 

The solo comes in around the 4:40 mark. It's technical, enjoyable, and overall fantastic. Chuck Schuldiner is a forgotten musical genius. He's on par with Hendrix if you ask me.

You're welcome! I was actually planning to post Joe Satriani and John Petrucci...but then realized that those have guitar parts in its entirety and I didn't know if there would be solos per se. So, I thought of something else...and then The Black Mages came to mind. It's a band known for doing a rock version of a LOT of Final Fantasy songs. One of their members, the keyboardist is the worldy recognized in game soundtrack, Nobuo Uematsu, the one guy who made all the FF's OST's from I through X, and then of XIV, if I'm not mistaken. You'll probably like their music a lot, even if you didn't play any FF's at all.

Amen to that bro. If there's one thing I know FF hasn't failed ever, is music. But yup. And they don't leave FF's behind. Check this one out. This gets suddenly bluesy, and. It. Is. So. Friggin. GLORIOUS! You'll find yourself going to the tune of the bluesy part. I can Pinkie Promise you that.

That was wonderful. I remember when I played FF1 on my Game Boy a while back, and heard that song. I just nostalgia'd all over the place, thanks. .

I'm going to try to rejuvenate this thread with a little Threshold.

 

 

There are so many beautiful solos in this song, most notably around the four and a half minute mark.

Buckethead's best solo in my opinion. Yeah the whole thing is a guitar solo. Jordan, has extremely fast parts, but also has some slower parts.

This thread is perfect for me, even though I'm a drummer. I just love a good guitar solo.

The solo here starts at 2:35. I think Vito Bratta is a hugely underrated guitarist. Look him up, he gave the band White Lion some amazing solos.
