As I lay next to him,

All the lights are dim,

My special somepony is alseep

In his slumber he's very deep.

 

But for me, the same is not true

I cannot sleep, no matter what I do.

I tossed and turned,

For slumber I so yearned

 

But still no sleep came.

Every night, always the same.

Please Celestia I beg you for this!

Let sleep lend me it's elusive kiss.

 

Alas, not this night, not tonight.

Try as I may, try as I might

No bliss will come for this pony, nor dreams.
