writing The City

The streaming light is rushing by.

As I waltz through down the street.

Walking to the rythm of existence.

Humming along to the song of life.

 

The buzzing of the street lamps.

As my feet tiptap on the stone.

A motor growl from a passing car.

Enjoying the noise of the night life.

 

Finding peace in my private walk.

The serenity of the nocturnal life.

We're all but humans under a cloudy sky.

Listening to the same melody of life.

 

A smile to a passing stranger.

I say hello to the lonely alley cat

Watching the twinkling stars.

As I dance through the city of night.
