Rainbow Skywalker 642 November 22, 2012 Share November 22, 2012 I finally finished animating my OC walking. Sounds lame right? well it took a hell of a lot of work, so I would appreciate it if you checked out my video right here: Thanks! 9 Signature by Azura みぞれ 恋人 (:
Master Blade the Bearded 112 November 22, 2012 Share November 22, 2012 Nicely done. But, that is coming from a person whose only experience with animation is crappy stick figure animations... Also, I liked the little head bob.
Shankveld 4,949 November 22, 2012 Share November 22, 2012 (edited) People never appreciate the amount of hours and work animating takes, but I applaud this piece of work, it's a very smooth and natural animation. ~ Edited November 22, 2012 by Shankveld
TheTEChguy27 273 November 22, 2012 Share November 22, 2012 Lookin' groovy. That's actually pretty awesome, I've tried animating in various styles before and walking is probably one of the hardest things to pull off well. Great job!
Feather Gem 967 November 23, 2012 Share November 23, 2012 Its so lovely. It seems flawless to me. But I have never animated before in my life. But still, it seems extremely well done. mitcheb0219 136 November 26, 2012 Share November 26, 2012 Trust me I know the pains. This is actually one of the smoothest fanmade walk cycles I've seen. Was this done in Flash? If so, can you elaborate a bit more on your process? I'm curious if you ran into some of the same issues I had when I was trying to animate. Check out my dA page HERE! I also used Adobe Illustrator to make the pony and the pony parts. After making the individual parts and everything, I imported the Illustrator file into my Flash project and then went frame by frame for 24 frames simply skewing the legs and body into different positions. What problems did you encounter? Signature by Azura みぞれ 恋人 (:

What problems did you encounter? Well for mine, I drew up the parts and everything in Flash, drew my 4 keyframes, and then interpolated them. I think my mistake was that I was animating with the Shape Tweens instead of animating the symbol (which turned out to be tons easier). My issue was keeping my outlines consistent as Shape Tweens can behave strangely. Here's mine. Check out my dA page HERE!
Fridge 382 November 26, 2012 Share November 26, 2012 That looked great to me, I'd need to watch yours and compare it to the show but from what I saw there if that wasn't spot on it was damn close.
