"Hey, Yavolin, do wanna get in this race with me? I think it's gonna be fun!" Cloud called to Yavolin as she trotted over to where ponies were lining up to race. "We should wait and see who all wants to race before we start. That is, if you don't mind me racing you." Cloud said to Scamps.

Draco pulled himself out of the cloud while clearing out his ear of clouds. "Hello sorry I'm late everypony" Draco looked at Cloud Puff. "I'm just a courier pony" He looked at the younger pony that sent out a challenge. He chuckle as he watched the group with a intrested look. He saw a mare fly in as he finished clearing out his ears odf cloud.

Yavolin looked at her."I am sorry my wing is a bit sore from flying her maybe another time"? Yavolin lied to his partner it wasn't that he wanted to he didn't want her to tell the wonderblots about his bad wing. His ear twitched a little to show that he was lying to her.

"Oh it is on!" Ace flew next to Scamps. "Bring it on, Bring it on!" Ace said smilling with exitment, I got this, I totally got this! I hope I got this! Ace slightly doudet himself, he was racing with ponies who finneshed Flight School yet he droped out, He didn't want to show he couldn't fly that well, but he wasen't going to back down from a challenge.

"Hey there! Wanna join this race?" Cloud called over to Draco. She then repeated this message in the direction of Ace, then Esme. "So, Scamps, what's your wing power?" Cloud asked Windy Scamper. Her own was 11.4, higher then any of her older siblings, who all had moderate wing powers. She then looked back at Yavolin. "Oh... Okay..." She then noticed him twitch his ear, a sure sign of him lying. *Why would he lie?...* she thought to herself.

Scamps nodded at Cloud. "We'll race from the edge of this cloud to that cabin in the distance." She said. "I'll see if anypony else joins the race. If not, I guess it's just you and me." Remembering a quote from her favorite TV show as a filly, Scamps added, "Just so you know, I am going to win."

yavolin felt bad about lying to his partner but he couldn't tell her that he had a bad wing, he didn't trust her enough to let her know about his wing but what if she told the wonderbolts about his wing? He couldn't be sent home and miss the chance of a life time to be on the wonderbolts.

"Sure why not I'll join" Draco said as he was confident in his wings as he looked at Cloud Puff then to Esme. "Hmm normally I'm the gambling type so how about we put some bits on the line" Draco said with a smiled as he looked at the mares. "Care to do alittle gambling?" Draco said as he spread his large wings stretching.

"You know it!" Esme said, smiling wildly as she placed a small sack of bits on the cloud. "Large bet on myself. You guys don't stand a chance, I mean, with my 12.0 wing power, and all." the blue pegasus then turned around, and crouched low, ready to start the race. "I kinda like this guy."

"Pffft whatever sadly I don't have bits on me so I'm not risking anything, but this should be easy." Ace grinned gettin ready, he never liked the biggining of a race because he never could know when they would say go, so he'd sometimes be last which annoyed him slightly.

"Uh.... Thanks?" Cloud said to Esme, then " Why not? I'll bet five bits my friend Esme wins, six I win, and seven Scamper wins, unless you are one of those guys that says I can only bet on one, then I bet seven bits on Scamps." Cloud was ready to win this thing, though with her slow reactions she might be one of the last to leave.

"Heh, that's a good way to lose bits, Cloud. You only bet on one. That's it. But, be my guest." Esme sighed. "Come on, let's get this thing going, before it's time for training!" She straitened herself up, heaving a large sigh. "Let's go! Sorry, but I can get really impatient."

"Well the last time I clocked in my wing power was 12.33 so don't know if that's any good" Draco said as he rubbed the back of his neck gentlely with his hoof. "Well I'll place this" Draco said as he pulled out a large bag of diamonds onto the cloud "hope you don't mind sometimes I get paid in diamonds or other things"

"Whoa, diamonds! That's it, prepare to lose, all of you." "Rarity's going to love me for this. I mean, seriously. but, 12.33? That's a lot... I'm not sure I'll be able to beat that. Oh, well, I'll try." Esme thought, just as somepony said, "Ready, Set, GO!" and she took off, kicking up a lot of cloud as she launched.

Scamps watched as Esme flew out. "Um, false start? I haven't placed a bet here on Ace, he looks like the fastest. Though, I am going to win, I feel weird when I bet on myself." Scamps laid down 2 bits. "We should probably have someone who's not in the race call 'go' so there's no advanatage."

Yavolin looked at Draco."O, sorry flying her kinda gave me a sore wing you know how it is with these blasted sore wings". Yavolins ears started to twitch wildly because he lied again to Draco of all ponies.Yavolin hoped that Draco didn't notice that he just lied.

Scamps stared at Yavolin. 'How could he be so stupid? We get it, you don't want to race.' She thought.

 

"No one asked you to fly," Scamps said. "Is it to much work for you to say 'Ready Set Go?' Because that's what it means to start a race. So, please, do it." Scamps huffed. "I don't think a sore wing affects your ability to talk."

"Calm down miss" Draco said as he smiled at her. He tried to be charming as he hovered there in the air. "And I understand Yavolin you have a sore wing. It is a long flight here. but can you start the race for us myfriend?" Draco asked as he landed next to Esme quietly.

Yavolin was now mad at scamps."IT IS WHEN NOSY MARES WHO SEEM TO GET THE HINT". Yavolins face became a tad red to show a warning that she better not get him mad then he already is. Yavolin knew he always had a temper problem mostly caused by ponies who got on his nerves,

Yavolin began to walked away he wanted to be alone right now.

"Oh my Celestia, that was so embarrassing" "So, when are we starting? I hope it's soon, I can't wait to win, and get all those bits."
