Greek Mods

First off, God of War is a wonderful game series. Pretty gory, but fun, awesome in design and story, and also fairly educational for teaching you about Greek Mythology a bit. I had this game in mind when thinking of this topic.

 

I personally lurv Greek Mythology. Title is self-explanatory. Make your own lists.

 

Zeus: Feld0

After escaping his father forum, Message Board the Unnamed, before the tyrannical reign of it's owner Cronus lead to the death of the land, Feldeus created a haven for fans of the majestic land of not only Equestria, but of entertainment devices with the letters 'W.i.i' in them. As he crafted the land, he took on many apprentices and colleges to help him in his quest. With his mighty spark bolts, he rules Forumestria with an iron, yet benevolent hoof.

 

Poseidon: Zoop

Widely renowned and respected, Zoopeidon watches over the waves and tides of the forum's topics and members, aiding in keeping things within balance. Having vast control over the hierarchy of Mods, Zoopeidon works with the King of the Mods to keep the forum running smoothly on it's social level. Though some mods act as lone-wolves, cooperation on Mount Modlympus is necessary.

 

Hades: Thereisnospoon303

A lurking menace, Spades is constantly seeking the throne of the Mods, while always hiding just under the radar. Banished to the netherealm of the forums after picking straws with his two brothers, Spades often serves as back-up to his brothers. Though his plans are malevolent and evil, he has not attempted a total takeover. Yet.

 

Hephaestus: Scootacool

The cruelly mocked mod of chickens and forum maintenance, Scootaestus is often unseen by the members of Forumestria, for he is far too busy tending to the grimy, dark back-end of Mount Modlympus's inner-workings. Clumsy yet fun-loving, Feldeus banished him to his seemingly cruel fate after the chicken god accidentally burned down Feldeus's work chamber.

 

Hermes: ~Chaotic Discord~

Cunning, quick and in possession of a passion for writing, Hermcord is known for being the social and humorous messenger of the Mods. Being social as he is, he acts as one of the main bridges between the Mods and their subjects, constantly participating in their events and discussions.

 

Ares: Evilshy

The Mod of dark combat and grimdark, Evilres may appear a tad dodgy to some, but is intelligent and can be quite intimidating when they want to be.

 

Apollo: Vexx

A Mod heavily associated with the arts, Vexx is capable of creating works of visual prowess that members and fellow Mods alike find truly appealing. Much of their work lines Mount Modlympus's halls.

 

Artemis: Chigens

Tomboy Mod of the creatures and hunt, having a love for ponies and snakes, sometimes together as well, they do their best they can to aid the other Mods in running the their subjects down in Forumestria.

 

As we have a disturbing lack of female mods, this is about as far as I can go :3 Anyone who can expand is encouraged to do so.

Shouldn't Thereisnospoon be Poseidon, since it was Poseidon that mythologically speaking was actually the one who wanted to overthrow Olympus, and it was Hades who was neutral and trustworthy?

 

Zoop and Thereisnospoon ought to be switched, I think.

edit: I see what you just did, and I got it. That's cool.

 

There's still the matter of identity theft though. Just don't try opening new forum accounts elsewhere with it and everything is good.

Ah yes, God of War is a great series, but as a bit of a Greek Mythology buff myself, I can very safely say it is not very accurate at all

Although, the fact that they took something as totally awesome as Greek Mythology, changed a ton of stuff, and ended up with something just as awesome really says something about the skill of the writers. Maybe not Kratos himself (he does get a bit one-dimensional as the series goes on), but the world, and the alternate take on many of the myths is awesome.

 

Anyway, I knew I'd be Ares or Hades, and as Hades is one of the "greater" gods, for lack of a better term, I figured he was reserved for an admin.

 

Anyway, when I have more time, we should totally get together and adapt some mythology to the forums XD
