Dusk sat there mesmerized by the elegant music.  I don't know if it's just because I love her, but her playing is the most amazing thing I've ever heard in my life.  When she was done, he got up and hugged her.  "That was...  Beautiful.  Just like you."  He kissed her cheek.

Dawn hugged him back and blushed."Hehe, thanks. I try, I love playing my instrument...Just not in front of lots of ponies..I've got a trifle bit of stage fright... But what ever I only play infront of ponies I trust, soo yeah." Dawn kissed Dusk on the lips trying to end the awkwardness.

The reaction from Iron Wing was just what the dragon expected. It was fun finally looking at her nervous about something and being on the good end at the game of love was nice for once still his words jus spoke truth. He was nervous about the inevitable outcome and believing a storm was already forming over the new born couple he realized there was no way to stop it.

 

"If it is important for me to know, we should speak about that not within the cafe."

 

However that was a problem for the Colt in the future. Iron Wing wanted to speak this in a more private place, and his mind just brought the perfect idea for that.

 

“Don’t worry Im sure is not as bad as you think it is” he said looking at the bill and reaching for the bits to pay it. He left a little extra  on the table as a tip for the good service, nice food and non running away staff  “Thanks or a great meal” the dragon said to the waitress smiling then stood up to help his companion off the table

“If your patrol and your duties for the day are over and you say you want a nice place to relax and talk I think I know the perfect spot. Want to see it?” he stopped for a second with some doubts “Or you have other plans?” he said expecting for more time with the mare.

 

Iron Wing thought some moments if she other tasks. "No, i don´t have any other tasks today so i have much freetime now." she answered Colt smiling. "So you know the perfect spot? Then show it to me!" Iron said, ready to follow the dragon. She was a bit lost in thoughts, thinking about her family and how they would react if she brought a dragon instead of a stallion. Her little sister would be happy for sure, and her father would judge with his heart. Since her daddy would judge fair, she was confident that Colt would make a good impression. The biggest hurdle to cross was definitely her mother since she would observe Colt with a clear and powerful mind and intelligence. Also her mother had the final word within the family and sometimes even her father had to keep back.  Iron sighed again.

 

But for now Iron was curious about the person Colt had mentioned. She was sure that Colt would explain everything. Was it a female dragon perhaps? A former girlfriend? Or... did mean Colt his parents? Iron imagined to stand before a tall and perhaps fiercy dragon and Colt would call this dragon "mum". Iron had to giggle a bit with this thought. She followed him to his perfect spot he was talking about.

Earth Saphina paused to think for a while. she hadn't planned about it yet. all she had planned was working at the apothecary, but Sky was right, then what? Sky took her fly yesterday. it was an amazing experience for an unicorn, especially for her, so she was thinking about taking Sky to somewhere special too, but where? he knew Ponyville much more than her, and she couldn't take him to Canterlot. there's nothing he would like in that crowded city after all. somewhere special, which could make that poker-faced stallion beam.

 

She grinned when a wild idea appeared in her mind. "Of course, why not there?". she knew that Sky would like that place very much. she did her best not to jump happily around the apothecary. she smirked at Sky Warden, "If you really want to know, wait until I close the apothecary" she said as she started humming their special song. she imagined how happy Sky would be when she took him there, as she stirred the liquid in the cauldron with a big wooden spoon.

Sky Warden rose his eyebrows, "Okay then. Waiting is my thing". He heard Saphie hummed their favourite song. The song about Heaven and Earth. He wasn't sure if he wanted to sing with her or not. The sad part was just too sad for him. He just listened to her sweet voice as he looked up at the ceilings. He moved his gaze slowly to the large windows, where a wide beam of light broke through it and showered the plants below with its beautiful yellowish grace. He saw some dust flying in the air, revealed by the glorious sunlight. Nopony but them stood inside the apothecary. No smell filled the air but the lively smells of herbal medicines. No sound echoed in his ears but the sound of boiling liquid in the cauldron and Saphie's sweet voice.

Some ponies came in and asked for medicines for daily and ordinary sickness such as cough, sore muscles, headache and cold. She felt the same safe and peaceful feeling like she felt earlier, while she was working in the apothecary. Saphina bottled some cream from the mixture in the cauldron and finished her last medicine. it was still too early to close, but it was Saturday and everypony always needs weekend. she cleaned up the apothecary and walked outside with Sky. she locked the door and grinned happily to Sky, "Lets go" she said before she ran away to the north of Ponyville. she looked back at Sky to make sure that he followed her. she waved her hoof at him, "Come on Sky!" she said and continued running.

After helping Saphie with the apothecary, Sky Warden followed the unicorn strode outside the apothecary. It felt odd though. He usually didn't like to stay in the land for a long time and would prefer soaring in the sky. Sky watched curiously as Saphie ran and then looked back at him, waving her hoof to ask him to join her. He snorted and flew to the mare to catch the distance. He then landed next to Saphie and started running with her, "Where" he panted, "Where are we going?". He tried his best to keep up with Saphie. He's used to fly more, but not running. He glanced around along their way as they moved further to the north, leaving Ponyville behind and entered the woods.

[Earth Saphina 35]

Saphina didn't answer since she wanted to make it a surprise. she couldn't ask Sky to fly her there because he could find out where's the destination. leaves and dead branches sounded weird whenever she stepped on one. she kept running through the woods, avoiding trees and roots along the way until they reached the edge of the woods which opened to an extremely wide grassland. no tree or anything in her sight. just green floor filled the bottom part of her gaze and it met the soft light blue sky in the horizon.

The Unicorn Range. she didn't even remember how she missed that land. she jumped several times as she happily scampered off the open fresh green space. she liked how the grass felt on her hooves and how the wind felt when it blew softly throughout the land.

"Typical." Angel smiled.  As she walked past him she gave him a small nudge and went outside.  She smiled up into the sky.  It's so odd...to think about these last few days...and to think how normal it was.  And now here I am.  I should really stop wondering though.  Angel looked back at Indigo.

Sky Warden slowed down and gaped at the open wide universe in front of him, still panting. The Unicorn Range for sure. The same place where he's used to play with Saphie when they were just a foal. He stopped his pace, staring at the grassland in awe with an opened mouth. He saw Saphie scampered happily just a few yards from him.
"This mare...she's just...crazy" He thought as a pure and joyful smile started forming on his mouth from a firework-like explosion in his chest. He didn't know what to do. That was just too sudden. Too many feeling exploded in his heart, struck him frozen in place. He just watched Saphie played happily in their old playground.

Earth Saphina glanced around. she didn't find Sky nearby. she looked at back at the direction they came from and found Sky stood there watching her. she giggled and trotted back to him. she saw a weird smile on his face, "Don't just stand there like an idiot. come on Sky. you like it don't you?" she said jokingly as she grabbed his hoof and dragged him running across the grassland. it was fun to play with him again in the same place after ten years.

Sky Warden couldn't hold it anymore. It felt like something great broke through the hard shell inside his heart. He just exploded and laughed, "Alright then! Watch out Saphie!" He giggled and ran after Saphie. It had been a long time since he felt like this. So lively, so much joy and he felt so spirited. Even when he first came to Ponyville and Pinkie Pie threw a party for him, it didn't feel the same, but still great though.

He caught the mare with his foreleg and shouted, "Got you!". He laughed and stood with his back legs as he moved from side to side, but he lost his balance and fell to the ground on his back, still with Saphie in his hug.

Saphina giggled and squeaked when Sky caught her and fell. she stumbled above him, almost hit his head with her, but could hold back at the last moment. their gaze met for a pretty long time. she took a deep look at his eyes. deep dark blue, just like the night sky. his silver mane shimmered from the afternoon sunlight.

Her mind flew to Sky for a while. he was her fillyhood friend who always played with her and never made her feel bored. he patiently waited for her for ten years in the same place, alone. yet, he still kind to her and generously offered her a place to live. he showed her the peace and grace everypony else couldn't give her.

She slowly leaned her head towards him. she closed her eyes partially when her muzzle was just a few inch from his.

Sky blushed and laughed awkwardly. He softly helped Saphie to sit and sat next to her. He blushed even harder when he realized what just happened. He regretted that he couldn't think any better way to react. That happened because of his reflect, and he couldn't help it. If only he had more time to think, he would've given her something better than that awkward laugh.

He stole some glances at Saphina. He wanted to fix his mistake, but he didn't know how. He felt so rude for doing that, and he doubted that Saphie would forgive him, but at least he had forgiven himself. He just simply extended his right wing to cover her back because it was getting colder, but stopped a half way there and looked at her to see if she minded it or not.

As both were walking out of the cafe Colt show to the path leading to the west end of town. “Its that way, no too far from here, its close to the entrance of EverFree Forest” then he went back to his 4 legs and shyly lean a little towards her waking side by side “a couple should walk like this…right” were his thoughts as feeling close to her.

 

“Do you think your family will accept this, us?” he said with a little sad look in his face taking a little back of reality into his dreamlike time with Iron Wing “I mean, I don’t try to misjudge and even less before knowing them but… being part of a guardian line I’m sure them or even you have face my kind on the field… I mean…ugh,  I don’t … damn…” he paused for a second and gaze upon the beautiful pegasus “are relationships always so complicated?”

 

The walk was no long and soon than they Colt realize they were on at the foot of the hill crowned with the willow. “It’s up there come”at the dragon took Iron’s left hoof on his paw guiding her to the top of the hill.

“Its that way, no too far from here, its close to the entrance of EverFree Forest”

 

Iron Wing followed Colt and enjoyed the day. It was late afternoon already and the Everfree Forest looked fabulous... at least from the outside. She hadn´t visit this place often, so she looked smiling at the willow as they came close.

 

“Do you think your family will accept this, us?”

 

With this question she remembered pictures of her mother. Most of the time she was a happy pony that cared a lot for Iron Wing. But there were times her motherly mare had an icecold face expression if she had to judge upon something. If she had this face on, even her father was careful and a bit afraid. "Um... yeah, sure i think so..." she answered the dragon ab bit unsure and looked on the ground. What should she tell Colt? She did not want him to panic if he would meet her parents. Then it happened. Colt asked the question she tried to avoid so far.

 

“I mean, I don’t try to misjudge and even less before knowing them but… being part of a guardian line I’m sure them or even you have face my kind on the field… I mean…ugh, I don’t … damn…”

 

Iron Wing stopped walking and remained silent looking on the ground for a while. The question stung like a knife through her heart and soul. After a time and with a sad face expression she looked at Colt. "Yeah... my family has faced dragons on the battlefield..." she paused for a minute. She closed her eyes and took a deep breath. "... and so have i..." she continued while she lifted a hoove to her front mane. Some of the azure hair covered always a part of her face. She pulled it aside and showed Colt something she never had told anypony about. It was a scar, created from a claw. It had healed a long time ago, perhaps 2 or 3 years in the past. But the reminder to this confrontation had been set on her face to remain forever. She liked the scar, it made her a bit cooler, but since she met Colt, she didn´t want to show it to him. She was afraid that he didn´t want to talk to her like the past days if he knew about that.

 

"My family has faced dragons... and we met different personalities around them. With some dragons we could talk to avoid any combat. They were friendly, intelligent and beautiful creatures, always a mystery for ponykind. But there were also the battle hungry and angry ones that wanted to get everything with worth for their greed..." she told him. Iron Wing continued walking and put her mane into its old position. "You are not like any of them Colt... your are special... a rare dragon heart indeed, and i want to keep you on my side..." she whispered with a warm and soft tone in her voice.

The dragon looked at the testimony of his kind already left in the beautiful face of the owner of his heart. For moments sadness filled him as also his claw reached the mark on Iron face, looking with at her with eyes of love delicately caressing the scar one of his kin left on her.

 

The paw of the dragon made a warm and gently tour among Iron’s face he then realized something so much things about her that ease many of the worries in his heart. “Fragile yet so strong ” were the thoughts on his mind then a smile run through Colt’s face he covered again Iron’s face with her mane as both kept walking towards the willow on the top of that hill.

 

“Then we share much more in common from what I’ve imagined” he said with a kind smile on his face.  They reached the top of the hill showing what Colt wanted her to witness. Just as the sun was falling the red dyed land showed a warm and astonishing sight, just as the day on his arrival to town, the colors from red to dark blue filled the sky and mountains on the far distance,  the forest on the west looked waving the colors and them both with the leaves on its trees moved by the wind, the river on the east performing the music of calm water performing an ensemble with the birds singing on the cottage at the limits of Everfree and beyond the river lights were starting to glint from the homes of ponies in town.

 

“I have also face combat before…against them” he said looking into the distance and the beauty that surrounded them “... against my blood brothers that is…I don’t know if I’m special Celes, for me that’s a word reserved for places like this and ponies like you” he paused and look into the violet eyes  “but I know I’m different that’s why I face them and decided to take the path that I believe will give me the shape my will desire” more pause and a deep breath “and now also the shape that you deserve… I will never hurt you. I swear on my life and soul Celes, I will never hurt you" he said as taking Iron Wing in an embrace of both his arms and wings.

They reached the top of the hill showing what Colt wanted her to witness. Just as the sun was falling the red dyed land showed a warm and astonishing sight, just as the day on his arrival to town, the colors from red to dark blue filled the sky and mountains on the far distance, the forest on the west looked waving the colors and them both with the leaves on its trees moved by the wind, the river on the east performing the music of calm water performing an ensemble with the birds singing on the cottage at the limits of Everfree and beyond the river lights were starting to glint from the homes of ponies in town.

 

Iron Wing looked at the scenerey that Colt wanted to show her and she would never be able to descibe this beautiful sight in words. This was one of the best spot in Ponyville and her specialdragon had shown it to her. She enjoyed the unbelievable sight of the sun falling and turning the land into a warming red. She could look far away into the mountains from this spot and the forest was looking gorgeous.

 

“and now also the shape that you deserve… I will never hurt you. I swear on my life and soul Celes, I will never hurt you" he said as taking Iron Wing in an embrace of both his arms and wings.

 

She snuggled close to him and enjoyed the near and the sound of his heartbeat as she layed her head down on his chest. She sighed as she had wonderful time with the beautiful view and a friend who understood how she felt. She was gaining more hope and confidence she spend with Colt that her parents would allow their special relationship. Slowly it the red sun hid behind the mountains, allowing the night to start. As the last sunrays shined on Iron and Colt, and a fresh wind blew into her mane, she enjoyed every second of it. She turned to the Dragon, looking at his golden shiny eyes. Because of the wind, Colt could see her whole face. She got near him, and kissed him deeply while he was embracing her this close. She hoped that this moment would never and at all...

Indigo lead Angel to a newer restaurant that was conveniently right on the opposite side of the block his new shop would be on.  When we're done with dinner, we can go through the back door of the restaurant and right into the new shop!  "We're gonna try a newer place to eat today."

I've had crushes before but those don't even compare, they don't even compare to you...Can we sit now?" She giggled and lead them back to the couch and sat down. She laid her head on him and let him continue to play with her mane.

"And the love I feel for you is beyond any I've felt before."  He continued playing with her mane.  "I wish that we could stay like this forever.  Not ever worrying about anything ever again.  Wouldn't that be amazing?"  I don't care how powerful i'd become from endlessly feeding from your love, as long as I was with you.

As Iron kissed him he just could close his eyes and kiss her back. Around his body below his wings and arms Colt was able to feel the warmth of her silhouette and the rhythm of her heart beating. That moment make him feel like never before, in such a way that he was loosing his strength enchanted by the sweetness and tenderness of the moment, he hold on to the mare as the kiss continued and took a step back without leaving her lips, Colt’s back reached the willow keeping him on foot and slowly helped him to sit down while still embarrassing and kissing Iron wing.

 

Now he could feel the mare’s weight over him, and for a second felt jealous of her armor, for being able to protect such a magnificent being and always being so close to her. But those ideas quickly taken by the wind that showed him the gorgeous face of his marefriend, he couldn’t believe how fortunate he was finding such a beautiful girl in both spirit and body.  For the dragon it was one of the most magnificent times in his life there were so little other moments as joyful as this.

 

The stars on the sky were jealous of the shine the feelings of these two hearts showed. Colt combed the mare of Iron with his paws as the kiss kept on.  Then after some time that he was unable to determine he broke the seal on the couple lips and gently stroke the pegasus head guiding her to his chest  both of them on the floor covered by the willow and its leaves he broke the silence looking to the mare.

 

“It doesn’t matter what my sister’s say, I will stay at your side” he said maybe answering Iron’s question “I don’t want to lose what you have gave me.”

Although he was sometimes like a mosquito, following her blind all the time, she wanted to give him a chance to prove his worth. Was he a serious pony that wanted a special somepony? Or was he a big showoff that wanted the short way of fun? She tended to believe the second possibility until now, considering his actions since they met for the first time. He just... did no bother to think about his approach.

Draco pulled out his watch as he flew "Oh my I'm late for an appointment I'm sorry Blazing but I have somewhere to go.  Well I hope we can meet up for lunch somewhere I'd like to get to know you better," Draco said as he veered off towards a struggling orphanage which he would help out. He would also bring the little colts and fillies a nice treat with him whenever he had bits on him. Right about now he did so he stopped by Sugar Cube Corner.
