“Gasp!!!”. Emi felt the ice-cream, stopping its way down her throat, for a couple of moments she was unable to breath, making a funny choking face while hitting her chest with her hooves. Able to breath again making a blush and smiling in a shy way towards Sarah, some thoughts ran over her head. “Didn’t she was talking trash about her brother a moment ago?, this is confusing.” The confusion just grew when Sarah talked about manticores and murdering schemes making Emi grin in a awkward way as Sarah finally said something good about her brother.

"I've heard how he treated her like a goddess,"

“Well Im sure your brother must be a charming gentlecolt for sure but truth is im not looking for romance now…work and study take almost all my time…more that I like to say the truth. And Im here just to visit my brother not finding love” she smiled while closing her eyes “...he he... ” she finished with a nervous chuckle just a moment before something grab her attention.

“Do you felt that?...” Emi asked in a rhetoric way turning her head and eyes back to her left, towards the street side of the café. No pony was around, just a walking group of friends on the far end of the street, some mares, one with multicolored mane, but they were too far to be the source of her “perception”. “What is this?... is not a threat that is for sure but what an uncommon presence ” were the words in her mind turning her to an unease mood.

“Oh sorry Sarah you were saying good things about your brother an here I am going crazy,” she apologize to the red pegasus but while her words and eyes were over the friendly mother to be, her focus was around her trying to pin down the source of that weird feeling

Duran the lynx

 

 

“Do you felt that?...” Emi asked in a rhetoric way turning her head and eyes back to her left, towards the street side of the café.

 

Duran was a bit surprised that a pony was able to feel his presence. But now he got more curious and got a bit near the mare, looking for a secure place to stay. He found a place where he could lay down and could pretend to be a normal cat. He jumped there and got in position, getting a better look at the mare. He was sensing something inside her, some kind of magic link. He had felt something similar before, but where? He could not get a clear picture in mind or remember where he had felt something like that, so he decided to concentrate a bit more, reaching out for the source. There was something within this pony he could not explain. His magical aura got a bit fired up while concentrating his senses on the mare. Would he be able to find out more about her before she noticed him?

"Oh yes I did feel that but let's just enjoy this wonderfull day shall we. I mean it's not like it'll come out of hiding," Sarah said as she finished her ice cream. "Hmm I think I heard he is in the hospital jeez when will he learn," Sarah said as she paid for her part of the meal. She stood up and started to walk towards the hospital. "Well you coming Emi?" Sarah asked as she turned back towards the other mare.

 "Well I think I don’t have much to do other than finding my brother… and I have some time to spare, sure I'll go with you " she said feeling "eyes" over her. Trying not to look weirder and playing all cool she called to the waiter and as promised she paid for the bill of both mares.

“So why did your brother is at the hospital, I hope is nothing serious” the lilac manned mare asked with some concern in her voice they were walking in the direction of the hospital and Emi felt relief as they were approaching to it, it was good that Sarah knew where they were going . Still her thoughts were on the weird presence following her. “What is this… it’s not going away” she thought.

"From what I hear he protected a little orphan filly from a manticore. Then the people started to blame the one who rescued him and the little filly. Honestly Emi some ponies are idiots," Sarah said as she walked with Emi. She was smiling slightly but on the inside she was worrying about her older brother. Duran the lynx

 

The two mares started to leave the cafe and so did Duran. But he was careful, leaving the cafe as the mares got out of sight. Since he had listened to them he knew where they wanted to go. To the hospital, and Duran jumped on to the roofs of the buildings to follow them. From above he had the best view on the two mares as they were walking to their destination. On top of that he had already feeled some things about the white mare and it would not be that hard to track her down. But he had to be careful. The red pegasus mare seemed to be highly intelligent and if she would notice that both mares were followed by a lynx, it would blow his cover. Cats weren´t unusual within Ponyville, but a lynx was a wild cat, an animal that would not come into the town that easily.

 

 

"Who takes on a manticore anyway. sheesh my broth soft hearted idiot at that,"e

 

A manticore? So her brother seemed to be a warrior pony or a local hero he hadn´t heard of yet? It seemed that this day would be somewhat more interesting that Duran had imagined. He didn´t know the name of her brother so Duran could not imagine which pony she meant. But now the white mare had something he wanted to know about, and he would find out what she was hiding... "I will not let my eyes from you, strange one... I´m everywhere..." he thought.

"Draco O'mally is his name and he's quite proud I guess. He would help anypony even if it means he'll be out on the streets. Sheesh buut I guess that's an appeal for some mares eh Emi," Sarah said as they arrived at the hos[ital. They got the hospital room Draco was in. When they saw him he looked like he got trampled by a large minotaur. "Yikes I was hoping it wasn't true but I guess he did take on a manticore to save a life,"

The walk was fast and as the chatting pegasi shared some thoughts they arrived to the hospital. Emi began to wonder what was going on, there was a ruckus around the place with some maintenance ponies fixing a big bump on the floor and a Blonde earth pony with a Stetson hat discussing with a lilac unicorn but she didn’t stay to eavesdrop and followed Sarah to her brother’s room.  "That weird presence is still following us"

"Sheesh but I guess that's an appeal for some mares eh Emi,"

 
 
Emi giggled in a shy way feeling half flattered and half awkward “Well there must be some girls who might like living on the streets“ she said with a little mischievous smile playing a small joke to Sarah, something she regretted the moment he saw Draco on the bed. ”It stayed out of the hospital?”
 
With his wings broken and lots of bandages all around his body the pegasus looked awful, Emi felt terrible for his condition and for sure the faces on both mares grab the attention of the nurse in the room that showed a cross as her cutie mark. “Where are you hiding dear stalker?”
 

"Yikes I was hoping it wasn't true but I guess he did take on a manticore to save a life,"

“Don’t worry he is out of danger” a nurse with a cross for cutie mark told them while she changed the serum bag sides of Draco’s bed and taking Emi out of her thoughts.  “But we had to sedate him he was struggling and that could open his wounds.” She said with a clear expression that reflected the times dealing with Draco. “Also he won’t be able to fly for some time her wings got some damage but nothing to be permanent” she finished and bid Emi and Sarah farewell. “There you are!!!”
 “Its good to know that he is out of danger, are you ok Sarah” Emi asked the read coated mare hoping that she was ok, but thinking that she maybe won’t be very communicative of her true feelings.“I need to find that sneaky stalker quickly”

Sarah began to cry as she placed her whooves onto his bed. "Please please wake up Draco I don't want to be alone," Sarah begged for him to wake up. She didn't care if her make up was running because of her tears.

 

Draco heard her voice his sister was crying. Who was making her her cry. one of his eyes opened slowly "Sarah why do you cry?"

The mares moved into the hospital and Duran knew that they would see him if he would follow them in there. Also normal pets weren´t allowed, so sneaking in wouldn´t be the best way to get near them. Since he sensed the white mare, he could guess where they wanted to go. Duran quickly found the window where he could look into the window of Dracos room. "Draco is here? He got injured by the manticore?" he thought with concern. So the red mare was a relative of Draco, so much Duran realized. Before the mares got into the room, Duran used a passive stealth ability of his magical arsenal. Even if he was outside the hospital, he didn´t want to be seen just like that, sitting outside a window. It would be too obvious. He watched the mares while they were interacting with Draco and kept an eye on them. Too late he realized that there was a mirror within the room that looked into his direction. He could see himself with his magical dark aura and the green shiny eyes in the mirror. Within a mirror his magical form could be seen! He jumped off the window and waited for some moments. Did she see him?

Emi understood this was a very personal and intimate moment for both brother and sister, and there was no place for a new met mare in that room now. “For sure they will need some time to catch up, but is great to see her true feelings about her brother” she thought as Sarah tears ran over her face stepping out of the room knowing that there would be time for her to talk with Sarah and her brother. She walked to the exit of the hospital still with a heavy discussion going on but her interest and attention were over someone else. “It was out of the window!?”

Quickly she dashed out of the hospital and with her eyes fixed on the windows of the 2nd floor she saw the source of her discomfort, both her senses and her eyes couldn’t be wrong that little furry cat jumping from ledge to ledge was the stalker that have been following her and Sarah.

With a jump and extending her wings Emi was in the air and in few seconds she was in front of the little cat… lynx she was able to tell. “Well well well, if is a mysterious kitty with very bad manners spying on two cute defenseless mares” Emi said stretching her hooves to catch the elusive feline feeling its soft fur and warmth to then carry him safely back to ground.

“So what were you looking for?” she said to the wild cat carrying it in front of her face and looking into its eyes. “You are a special one don’t you… just like us…” the words of Emi were accompanied by a rise on her magic power testing the lynx perception

With a jump and extending her wings Emi was in the air and in few seconds she was in front of the little cat… lynx she was able to tell. “Well well well, if is a mysterious kitty with very bad manners spying on two cute defenseless mares” Emi said stretching her hooves to catch the elusive feline feeling its soft fur and warmth to then carry him safely back to ground.

 

After she had to hide for short, he looked into the room again and looked how the situation was. The red pegasus named Sarah was still sitting next to the bed of her brother draco and cried. But... the white mare wasn´t there! Was she in another room perhaps? Duran jumped from window to window to look if he could see her, but she was gone. Then something grabbed him from behind and turned him around. The pegasus had catched him by surprise and carried him back to the ground. Shoot! This was bad, really bad! What should he do? Perhaps he could outsmart the pegasus, after all she shouldn´t be as magical as a unicorn.

 

 

“So what were you looking for?” she said to the wild cat carrying it in front of her face and looking into its eyes. “You are a special one don’t you… just like us…”

 

So she knew that he was following both mares, and she had detected something. As he thought, the mare was in contact with strong magic in her past. He could feel that, but what to do know? She seemed intelligent and erudite since he had listend to their conversation and she said that she was from Canterlot. He should be careful in every possible way. Since he was held by her he couldn´t just transform like that, also it would blow his cover. He just meowed a bit in his typical cat language "Let me go! You make me nervous...", but of course she wouldn´t understand something like that. Then something happened. "She is raising her magical ability! She knows that i am pure magic? I cannot let anything happen..." he thought.

Duran didn´t like this at all, and beeing held like that was the worst thing that could have happened. He started to struggle heavily and jumped away from the pony, landing on his feet and hissing at her. Slowly he started to walk a circle around the white pegasus, watching her carefully. Now that he was unintentional this close to her, he recognized the feeling about her. He knew who she was finally, and his cover didn´t matter anymore, but he held onto his normal form. "So you are the dragons sister..." he transfered his purring  voice in her mind. His magical ability raised noticeable, containing dark fearsome ancient energie.

The two talked for abit then she told him the news. "I see your pregnant congrats," Draco said as he smiled slightly. "I'll come by Canterlot whenever I have time for you. The nurse is glaring at me to rest now sister," Draco said as he hugged her gentlely.

Sarah walked out wiping away her tears. She smiled slightly "Emi you around here?"

"Hey hey relax little one " she said as the lynx jumped out of her hooves, he made a fearful noise and walked from one side to another with a mean face and sharped eyes. Emi looked at the little one and sat down right on the spot her front hooves straight like waiting for the feline to settle down. "He reacted to my magic, he is somethings special" she thought

 

"I don't want to hurt you " she said with a kind voice "And you were the one following me, of maybe you were following Sarah?" she asked to the Lynx telling that she knew of his stalking and in a way he was the responsible fur such encounter. "This presence, his magic is dark and powerful, but his soul is free from wicked means" 

 

 

"So you are the dragons sister...

Her eyes widened and she stood up walking to him and raising her voice "Dragon? you mean Colt? do you know him? you know where he is?" the mare was almost over the poor cat he reacted fast at the possibility of a clue of Colt's situation. "Tell me!, please!"

 

Duran looked at the mare approaching him and he sat down, still careful what the mare could do. "The one dragon named Colt safed the stallion pegasus with the name Draco from a manticore. As he was brought to the hospital by him, the other ponies got scared and thought that the dragon had caused this injuries. They wanted to capture him like he was a beast." the lynx started to tell what happened. "But then the commanding guardian of the town appeared and her voice scattered all agitation. She took the dragon with her to the southern tower to prepare for departure..." he continued.

 

He looked for some moments to the pegasus mare and her possible reactions before he did go with the telling. "Now they already reached a fortress, guarded by hundrets of ponies... you can´t reach your dragon now... but...." he said with a little smile on his face. "... but you may wait here in Ponyville for his return. They should be back tomorrow." he finished. Of course Duran knew that Colt wouldn´t be hurt or something like that, but he liked his dramatic way of story telling more than the harmless version. On top of that, he didn´t even have to lie. "And don´t try to get him out of the fortress now... it is guarded by.... Grayhooves..." he added. If she was clever, she probably would know that the Grayhooves were crusaders who fought dragons for almost a millenia. She wouldn´t have a chance.

Of course Duran didn´t want to hurt anypony, but he wasn´t sure about this mare and her reactions. "If you need to know anything about Ponyville, the guardian or something else, i feel oddly free to answer them..." said to her in his mind transfer with honest. He made some steps backwards and jumped onto a bench which stood near to the hospital. Now he didn´t have to look up to meet the mares eyes.

 "They wanted to capture him like he was a beast."

 

"Oh no! no no NO! not again" she said shaking her head with a lot of concern in her voice "Why does this always happen, I thought Ponyville was the right place for him!" were the words in her mind as she was the one that told Colt to find a place to establish on the little town. 

 

 

"But then the commanding guardian of the town appeared... She took the dragon with her to the southern tower to prepare for departure..."

 

Emi was unable to get all the messages in her mind, for one side the weird presence of the lynx words was disturbing added to the torrent of ill ideas and possible outcomes carving into her mind and spirit. "They took him as a prisoner again!!, this is no good, that must be why they didn't answer in the tower they must have been down on a cell or dungeon ". Emi's mind was going crazy she knew this kind of stuff when brother and sister were together this kind of stuff always was around him how he was persecuted because of his species and fierce looks but she was always there to help him but this time she was too late. Duran could felt the distress on the pegasus mare and the concern for her brother.

Now they already reached a fortress, guarded by hundreds of ponies...   "And don´t try to get him out of the fortress now... it is guarded by.... Grayhooves..." 

 

 

"Departure? Fortress?... The Grayhooves!!!? " the alabaster mare said with a high volume  "What about the trial and the process? My brother is innocent he would never hurt a pony...pony... Sarah's brother he must be able to tell them he knows Colt is innocent " Emi picked up Duran with her hooves and got a hold of him with her right wing. "You are coming with me" she said unable to listen to any more of the feline words in her mind. Here eyes were filled with tears on the brink to overflow her during her time at Canterlot she heard this of this Grayhoove clan, and their dealings with "foreign" creatures, "what are they doing to him" she thought as she ran back to the hospital with hopes of Draco helping her.

BUMP!!!! Emi suddenly was on the ground in her rush and confusion she crashed with a white stallion  and she could take it any more, with sobs fueled with the worries about her brother Emi's tears began to flow. "Im so sorry, I wasn't looking, Im sorry" she said while standing back, the mare didn't took time to get the dirt of her coat she just ran back into the hospital to find Sarah there.

"Sarah!" Emi said with a hoarsely voice, Sarah found her with her eyes full of water and dirt all over her. "They took my brother and I don't know what is going to happen to him. Draco...he can tell them the truth and then they will let him free " the white pegasus said with a begging ton along her words. "Please Sarah help my brother." Emi's head rested on the red mare's chest sobbing worried about all what was left from her family. Duran for sure could feel the pain in Emi's heart..

Hank tumbled from when Emi crashed into him. His sonic screwdriver rolling next to him. He got up and grabs it as he saw her run to the hospital. He follows her to the hospital removing his hood as he walks in. He kept following her and went in the room she went in

Emi picked up Duran with her hooves and got a hold of him with her right wing. "You are coming with me" she said unable to listen to any more of the feline words in her mind.

 

Duran just could meow as the mare suddenly grabbed him and held him with her right wing. He feeled like a spring roll, held within the soft wings of the pegasus pony, unable to move away. "Buck it! That didn´t went very well..." he thought. Now he was held prisoner by the alabaster mare and she dragged him along like a teddybear. He hopped that she wouldn´t come up with the idea of cuddling him like one. Perhaps he should have told her that nopony would hurt Colt where he was now, but now it was too late to say anything because Emi had to settle down again.

 

She started to cry and he could feel the despair her mind was going into. But the problem with a chaotic mind was, that he couldn´t reach her with a mind link. Now everything she would hear from him was "meow" and catlike stuff. "What to do now? Perhaps i should take a nap..." he thought. But then she run into another pony.

 

 

BUMP!!!! Emi suddenly was on the ground in her rush and confusion she crashed with a white stallion and she could take it any more, with sobs fueled with the worries about her brother Emi's tears began to flow. "Im so sorry, I wasn't looking, Im sorry" she said while standing back, the mare didn't took time to get the dirt of her coat she just ran back into the hospital to find Sarah there.

 

Emi crashed into a stallion and Duran only squeaked a loud "meow!" into the air. Even a crash into another pony didn´t stop Emi, but turned her mood more down than expected. She finally reached the pegasus mare named Sarah and started to cry. Now could look at Draco laying in a bed. "Hi dude... let me guess... heroic epic pony combat?" he thought while meowing to him.

Draco awoke when he heard the door to his room open again. He sighed when he saw it was two mares and Duran "Why do I get the feeling that Duran just said something sarcastic at my expece. Anyhow you two have serious looks on your faces so if I had to guess it has to do with the Guardian division stationed here in in Ponyville right?" Draco guessed.

The soul of the mare was trembling like a broken glass after shattering. Duran was able to undestand how important colt was for her.
“Im so sorry to bother you, but… but… but you see my name is Earth Miracle and Im the sister of the dragon that brought you here” her eyes filled with tears while she leaned down to Draco’s bed. “He was taken prisoner by the guard and now dragged to a monster hunter fortress, I know this is all a mistake and …” she sobbed once more “ I'm so sorry to ask this from you in your current condition, but you are the only one that can save my brother by telling the truth.” The violet eyed mare surrendered her hooves and bowed towards Draco’s bed “I beg you, I’ll bring someone of the guard or a representative of the crown, just tell them what happened and save my brother, he is all I have left” her face buried into the injured pony bed sniveling with her plea.
“I don’t care of my pride nor anything else if I can save him” were the words expressed by her soul that duran could feel.

Draco burst out laughing as he heard her say that Colt was a prisoner. "Oh milady that was so funny. I'm sorry for laughing but no he isn't her prisoner. If I had to guess though he's her special some dragon. Lucky dragon I say.*coughs* Anyhow I think that fur ball there.*he glares slightly at the lynx* didn't tell you the full truth am I correct?" Draco asked slightly. "Now cheer up my dear lady I don't like seening grown beautifull mares like you cry," Draco said gentlely into the mare's ear.

Oh milady that was so funny. I'm sorry for laughing but no he isn't her prisoner. If I had to guess though he's her special some dragon.

Duran was able to feel a rush of disturbance in Emi as the words of Draco filled the room

“What did he just say?” her mind was confused about the injured Pegasus answer “is he making all this some kind of wicked prank over me?” for some seconds she felt anger about Draco’s reaction and confusion about his answer. First of all her mind still in distress tried to catch up to this new information “The guardian is a SHE?“, “And Colt has something going around HER?”, “That sounds nothing like my brother” she thought with some doubts in her mind. “But why would Draco lied to me?, he seems like someone that would not play with this things around” mind kept on the discussion.“  She thought trusting in the pegasus.  You are not lying to me right little one?” she told to Duran using their link

Confused and with her mind in many places at the same time, Emi slowly stepped out of the room with her eyes lost and in a silent way she crossed by the white stallion she stumbled with out of the hospital but she didn’t even noticed, “If both the lynx and Draco are saying the truth, why would she take him away to that fortress”

 

The only thing that was able to bring her out of her thoughts were the sounds of an approaching discussion held by a group of ponies that wear some white coats and two young mares.

 

Applejack & Twilight 

 

“I’m telling ya’ all that dragon won’t hurt a worm in an apple, don’t talk about a courier pony” said an orange earth pony that used a Stetson Hat with a expression that showed concern and anger.

 

“Applejack I know, I agree with you, but as the representative of the Royal Sisters in Ponyville Its my responsibility to find what really happen and the only way to do that and help Colt is to talk with the only witness around” said a purple mare walking in front of the frowning doctors that weren't able to believe the words of the pushy blond lady galloping alongside them towards Draco’s room.

 

“Are you talking about my brother…?” Emi stood in the way of the group asking and wiping the tears off her eyes. “You know him? Right?, he would never do something like this, please you have to do something he was taken to a fortress and I don’t know nothing of his whereabouts, I know he is has nothing to do with this please help him” Emi told to the group and made a special emphasis to the lilac mare that had a powerful magical aura surrounding her.

Draco sighed "Oh yes now I'm to be interrogated?" Draco said sarcastically. "Sorry Miss Twiight, Miss Aplejack  and gentlestallion today has been trying for me. You see I fought a manticore to protect alittle filly. You know a child. Then when my friend saves me. He get's blamed for my injuries. You know what that tells me Miss Twilight?" Draco asked with a sweet tone of voice. But beneath his calm exterior he was fuming.
