That always help me out when I'm out of ideas, and it also helps me when I'm working on something. Too bad my school doesn't allow us to listen to music when we're working on our own during classes . I'm currently working on a composition called "Contradiction". This features Octavia and Vinyl Scratch performing together. I'm using Finale PrintMusic to do this. Other times, I get inspired by a little something I hear in a song. I then build off of that. I like softer music that tends to light up the mood and around the room. I just pop up some jazz music or some techno in my ears, and that's where I get most of my feelings out of my system. I can really relate to not only what is being said but also the chords and harmonies and melodies and scales of the song. Also, nature is a beautiful thing. There's always a little something there that can spark your interest and make you think. If I were to look at the same tree every day of my life, I'll bet you that I'd find a little something different and new with it every day. 1 I tend to take the high road, get stoned, and fly low . . .
