planning Action/Romance RP planning

I don't think this is a bad idea. Too many roleplays are strictly one or the other. We could say a group of hiking ponies got lost deep in the Everfree Forest, and add some level of drama as the characters go about wandering lost for days trying to get out. Or something to that effect. The caves under Canterlot would work just as well, I think. Probably more cases would work too.

I once had a dream that I was a gladiator forced to fight in battles to the death. Perhaps some post apocalyptic gladiator stuff could work. Nothings more romantic than falling in love with a girl you're supposed to kill. Just ask the hunger games, only in an arena one must die! Idk just though I would throw that at you.

That's a pretty cool idea, I like the addition of Sombra.  Sombra could use an 'understudy' so to speak, kind of like the character Seneca Crane from the movie/first book.  Perhaps that could be somepony like Trixie?  I don't know, just throwing around some ideas.

Yea, I like using her as a tribute.  She seems vile enough to fill that role.

Okay, I just gotta say, either we gotta drastically change the situation in today's Equestria, or it can be more of a sport, where, instead of killing, if you "Lose", you're magically teleported out of the stadium, because strictly speaking, the Hunger Games are a little bit too lethal and gory by Equestrian standards.

Well, since Trixie is apparently using Sombras magick in the next episode, this isn't much of a stretch. I saw a walking dead thread and started to wonder what would happen if there was a walking dead themed RP. That would have action. heh

True.  Instead of hunting/killing, there could be dangerous events of agility and endurance, and as you said, losers would be transported out of the stadium.

Going off of what Obsidian_Winter's stated, I do agree.  It's not a stretch of the imagination.  That's my bad.  I do kind of like the idea of Trixie in the RP though.  The main antagonist could be another character.  Any ideas?

We could do a lost kinda thing... where everyone crashes on an island and then some strange things start happening like polar bears and giant boars... I kinda like the hunger games idea a little more.

Okay so, so far we have hunger games possibly alternate universe so that it makes scenes. The ruler could be sombra discord or some twisted celestia to go with the alternate universe. Trixy has been declared a character right? What does everypony think?

I think that Flame's Lost Idea would suit the theme "Action/Romance" far better than a hunger games scenario. But that's just me.

I am watching Lost on netflix right now so... I am kinda addicted to it. I have been thinking of making a lost RP for some time myaw.

Lets play a little game.

 

We could mix the two... Make it so the plane or boat  or whatever it is that crashes is forced to crash... and then its like a game, Surviving on the island for s certain amount of time. But maybe it would be better if instead of fighting each other it was just a game to see how long we can survive.

Trixie seems to be a selected character. I like Flame Dancer's idea, and we could mix a Sombra/Discord/Twisted Celestia into it as well. So basically, what we're looking at is a Lost/Hunger Games mash up. Seems like a good idea to me.

Wasn't there already a Fallout Equestria? Not that I don't love a good Fallout RP... Or a good Fallout RPG, for that matter...

Well as I said why not a Fallout Equestria Rp you know. It's a good story to which we can build off of it. Plus there can be romance in it too. Just look at Lilpip's relationship with Homage.

Well, how much would we be basing the story off of the established Fallout universe? I'm almost as familiar with the Fallout universe as I am with that of Harry Potter.
