Amber Vox OC (MS Paint)

Lately, I've been more involved than ever with MS Paint due to its many easy-to-use tools that never fail to make my life easier (the undo tool, for instance). And after mere two days without internet connection, added with the motivation one particular RolePlay has been giving me, this was the outcome of roughly 2~3 hours of messing around in MS Paint with the mouse:

 

 

This is Amber Vox, my unicorn - and by far, most interesting - OC. Along with this, I also wrote a more in-depth and better thought-out background story for her, which I already updated to her page, which can be found here (check it out if you wish this drawing to make some sense).

 

Even though I acknowledge I'm very far from being an at least decent artist, I'm somehow incredibly satisfied with the final results. But obviously, critics and opinions are warmly welcomed and requested~

Love it. I like the story going on in the picture. Your lines seem a little rough but it's not that apparent. Anyway, I like it. Great work.

This is why i avoid mirrors. Heh heh.  Your OC is plenty cute, but her mirror self doesn't seem 'enough' to be making her cry. It might be more effective in the mirror was broken or cracked. But still a lovely picture of a lovely pony.

Its alot better then the terrible art I have created . So i'd consider you a decent artist atleast in my eyes! No need to be so hard on yourself .

 

I think the only complaint is the mirror feels like it should have some extra, something to it. To make it seem more dramatic I suppose.

The mirrior is a really cool concept though! I haven't seen any of them in my time around here, so kudos for that!

 

Sure they'res always room for improvement, but you did a pretty swell job! So don't be so hard on yourself ok? !

Very good! I can tell you've spent a lot of time and effort on this, and I love the detail in the eyes. I love your OC, and of course the picture, and I always admire an artist who works in paint. Good job!

I actually think that it's pretty cool! you did a fanstastic job in paint even if you are not an artist. You must make drawings for the RP, YOU MUST!

Heh, yeah... I believe the part I messed up the most was the mirror.

 

I had no idea of how to make her reflection 'dramatic enough', nor about the perspective the mirror should be. The initial concept I had was to make Amber confronting her past somehow, and the mirror was the first idea that came to my head.

 

That was my first try at drawing mirrors though, and even my first try at drawing such a scene like that. I still have a lot to practice. :3

Oh, boy... I know I must, and I want to as well! xD

 

Problem is that I'm - obviously - an amateur, meaning that I waste spend more time than I should at these average drawings. So putting this much effort in each drawing while still trying to make them as fast as I can in order to keep up with the RP usually doesn't end well... I promise to do more in a near future, though~
