An Infestation of Love

Rockshire started walking down with Spiritflame, over towards the craft store, looking back on him. 

 

"Yeah, sort of. The last of my instruments broke, and now, I have to find some new ones to complete my project. Nothing serious, just a bit annoying to be reminded of."

Canterlot was a breeding ground of young love. The perfect place for Star Light. She had taken the form of a beautiful white Pegasus with crystalline blue eyes; someone she had met long ago in Manehatten. She didn’t have to look far to find a single stallion looking for love, and she was always there to receive.

 

Sky Warden stood in a street junction. He kept looking around for a particular mare since the street was crowded. Yesterday he met an old friend and had a brief conversation with her, but she promised that she will meet him again today.

He yawned, Where are you Star Light?

"Oh, thats unfortunate...  What is the project supposed to be?"  Duskspawn walked with Rockshire to the store.  "I've never been to Ponyville...  How long have you lived here?  I just got here earlier today by train."  That train ride was painful....  It was way too crowded.

"Well, the project is a secret. Buuuuuut, I guess I can tell you about it." Rockshire leans a bit closer to Spiritflame's ear, whispering.

 

"It's supposed to be a dragon breathing fire."

 

"And I haven't been here for long. I'm from Canterlot. So, I don't know most of the places here."

A dragon breathing fire?  Sounds like that'd be pretty difficult to make.  "Why is it a secret?  Is it for somepony special?  And did you move here or is this a temporary thing?"  Canterlot...  Let's really hope she doesn't live in Canterlot anymore, or find out i'm a changeling...  After that one attempt on taking over, I don't think she'd be fond of our kind...

"No, not really... Just my best work. I really don't have a special somepony...", Rockshire said as she looked down a little. "And, well, I heard of Ponyville, and I figured I would buy a small place here, and that this is my vacation town. Nothing really, really, big.", she said.

Star Light was casualy strolling around the plethora of streets in Canterlot, taking a moment to get away from all that 'love' nonsense. She occasionally twould stop and gander at some of the many sites in the city. She had never before really taken the time to do this, just walking around and enjoying herself. All too often Star Light found herself 'working' to get the love of stallions. It was tiring, but rewarding all the same.

 

As much as she would have liked to continue her peaceful stroll, she was reminded ever so of a lingering fact, she was beginning to grow hungry, and it was starting to cause her weariness. She would have to look for a new colt friend to shower her with affection yet again.

"You don't have one? Oh... Well I don't either..."  He chuckled awkwardly.  "So how long do you plan to be here?"  They were getting close to what Duskspawn figured was the store.  This could be a perfect chance.  Who knows, maybe she doesn't judge changelings like everypony else...

"Oh, sorry to hear that... I'm just staying for a few months. Besides, I'm not planning on staying here for a long amount of time. Otherwise, I'd be homesick. But, hey, maybe I can find my special some pony here. Couldn't be too hard to see one on this semi popular town."

Diamond, who had found somepony to feed off of watched him yell and stomp his hoof. "My cue." She thought, Trotting out from the alley where she hid. "Hey, I have been looking everywhere for you." She said, Giving the cold a hug and smiling.

Arcane settled down and walked over to a bench that was placed under a tree nearby, he sat down and sighed, "Oh Diamond... what trouble are you in now? Considering the amount you ever get in trouble, id say you were out and cheating on me" he said with a huff, of course, he knew she wouldn't do that to him, but it was starting to annoy him, hopefully she would show up soon.

"You never know who you might run into I guess..."  Maybe she's not interested in me, but if she meets somepony....  But I don't know how i'd get rid of him if she met somepony...  "I'm starving...."   He didn't notice he said that statement aloud quietly, but the rest of his thoughts luckily stayed in his mind,  I need to feed soon....

"You too?", Rockshire asked, looking back to Spirit. "My breakfast wasn't enough, sadly. I honestly should have gotten more than just a danish. Would you like to head to a cafe to get something? I can get the equipment later. It's not a big hassle for me. Care to join?"

"Im sorry, I was just out in the everfree forest... Well at the edge... It looks Beautiful covered in snow, I guess its not really as scary because allot of the animals would be asleep." She smiled. "So her name is Diamond... I will keep that in mind." She thought, Sitting down next to Arcane.

Huh? I must've said I was hungry aloud.  "Yeah, sure, that'd be great, if you're alright with not getting your stuff right away."  Normal food....  I havent had that in a long time.  Not since I snuck off to taste the food from that wedding.  I'm kinda lucky I didn't get caught.  t tasted good, but like all the rumors say, it doesn't do anything... And too much could make me sick.  That sucked, wish I knew that back then...

"Yeah, that will be totally fine with me! I wouldn't mind at all! Lets go!", Rockshire excitedly said as she started trotting towards a cafe, hoping that Spirit would follow.

 

*Weird... There's something weird about him... But, then again, he IS kind of cute... Hmmmmm...*

Arcane nodded and smiled, "Of course. I haven't had time to go and look at the scenery, too busy with work and all. I thought I told you to meet me at my house, what happened?" he asked, he didn't expect her to just forget.

*Oh dear... What do I say ?" She thought. "I was on my way there but... I ran into a friend who lives in Manehattan... They were just getting on the train to go back home and they started talking... and they talked and talked. I told them I was in a rush but they didn't listen, Im sorry." Her ears flattened and she looked down at the ground.

"Alright." Duskspawn smiled and followed Rockshire.  I like her, she's energetic and cute.  And I bet she's really talented too.  "So, do you think they have stuff made by the Apple family at the place we're eating?  I've had some before in Canterlot once and loved it."

"Uh.... I think they do. I personally haven't tried any of the restaurants here. I mainly just happen to eat fruits and fresh vegetables that I buy from the local vendors. But, I suppose there wouldn't be anything here that WASN'T Apple family wise.", Rockshire explained to Spirit, as they kept going to their destination.

"Oh...  So have you ever met Princess Celestia whle you were in Canterlot?  I didn't get to meet her the short time I visited Canterlot myself..."  I probably would've been killed had I tried to go into the room hey were going to hold the wedding.  I bet Princess Luna went in there to protect her until the battle was over...  She would've killed me on the spot for setting hoof in there...

"Sadly, no I have not. She's been really busy lately. I heard that some changelings had crashed the royal wedding, and that she had to apply more defense to the castle. So, any pony without a warrant or note from her cannot enter the castle without special permission."

"Oh yeah... I heard about that...  Were you in Caterlot when it happened?  I heard there was a huge battle in the center of Canterlot."  The whole attack ruined my plans for that week too...  I was going to try to visit Celestia, but 'cause of the Queen, my hopes of that are ruined for a good while....

Arcane nodded in an understanding way, "That's okay, as long as we get to see each other eventually. I heard it snowed in Las Pegasus this year, kind of surprising, but it has been cooling down a bit in that region. Speaking of regions, want to find out which one doesn't have snow this year?" he said mischievously, and slightly jokingly. He didn't really care for happy fun times, seeing her was enough for him.

Diamond smiled. "Thank Chrysalis he believed me." She thought. "Which one ?"  She giggled.

Every second Diamond sat there she could feel little bits of energy returning to her. "Oh I haven't fed like this in years... I have forgotten how energetic it feels." She thought.
