"Well, I am going to go sit down at the couches... It was nice meeting you." She said, Backing up. But then she accidentally backed up into a golden mare. "Oh, Oops, Im sorry... I was just... Sorry." She said, Blushing and quickly trotting over to one of the couches the sitting down.

This closet was too... dusty. He was sneezing like crazy. Somber needed to get out of there, but there were too many ponies around for him to navigate through. His only bet was to just interact. He unlocked the closet, and walked out, vowing to stay silent for the rest of the party. 

 

He sat down in a couch farthest away from the crowd.

"Me? No, I don't know Cloud Puff personally, but my neighbors, Rag and Tag Gemini certainly do. They know everypony. And they seem to think that I should get out sometimes." She looked a little annoyed about it, but not bitter.

 

She was about to continue her rant when somepony backed into her. "Oof." After the pony apologised profusely, Evergreen smiled, and said, "Don't worry about it. Well, anyway, like I was saying... I'd much rather spend time in my garden..."

Ragnar, who was still standing awkwardly next to the door, had been in a daze since he had opened the door.  After shaking himself out of his daze, he looked back towards his past seat. Silver Mane had left the area, and sitting on the couch was a mare.  Despite his fear and nervousness building up inside of him, Ragnar trotted over to the couch, and sat next to her.  He was trembling, and after clenching his teeth a few times, introduced himself, "H-h-hello, I'm Ragnar.  If you don't mind me asking, what is your name?" he asked her.  "Oh Celestia, I hope I didn't mess up!" he thought to himself while trying to formulate a smile.

"Oh... Hi, My name is Arrowleaf." She said shyly, Then she heard the pony she bumped into earlier say something about a garden. "EEK, You Like Gardening, I Like Gardening too... Oops...Um, Sorry for interrupting." She then looked back at Ragnar and blushed. "I um... Sorry."

"It's okay," she said after Evergreen, and turned back to her. "What convinced you to leave your garden?" If somepony wanted to do something instead of something else, why not do that instead. "Eh, nevermind. I hope you have fun. I should go and, er, mingle. See you around! Cello Opal turned and walked away, only to bump into the door right after a series of knocks. Rubbing her head, she shouted, "We hear ya!" She stepped back and open the door for the pony at the door.

"Oh no, it's perfectly alright, Arrowleaf, there isn't anything to apologize over," said Ragnar.  He noticed her blushing, and thought, "Perhaps it was something I've said.  Maybe I've already screwed up!"  Ragnar tossed his negative thoughts aside for the moment, and asked her, "H-how are you liking the party so far?"

"Oh. Rag made me. Like I said, they think I should get out. Last time there was a social thing, she practically dragged me there." Now, Evergreen did seem bothered by this particular memory. "Well, I'll talk to you later, Cello."

Evergreen grinned. She hadn't expected to have anypony here with similar interests. "Oh! You do?" The Star Rose, that she had recieved for services to the Crown, the flawless ruby carved into a rose, opened up excitedly. She hadn't realised that Arrowleaf was talking to somepony.

Krystal put on her best fake smile to greet the brown mare who opened the door for her "Hello, I'm Krystal" she shook the other pony's hoof and strode in. Then, her heart stopped when she saw a certain dark blue colt on the other side of the room. Him, the one and only stallion she couldn't stop thinking about just twenty-four hours earlier. The one who broke her heart. She just stared at him for a few seconds, thinking about what to do. She was already too deep into the house to just walk out now, she'd make too much of a scene. Trying not to disguise her flux of emotions, she turned around so she was facing away from him and tried to strike up a conversation with the pony who let her in "So how've you been this evening?"

He wasn't even 50 feet away from them, and his stomach was already doing backflips, because he was so nervous...

 

This is too much... I know it's just a few ponies, but I'm about to get sick from just being nervous.. Everyone here is just... Just... 

 

Somber only watched the rest of the ponies chatting.

Cello Opal watched the pony's eyes gaze around the room, stopping for a couple of seconds, but then they snatched back to the circle before they settled on her. "So how've you been this evening?" The pony's eyes finally fixated on Cello Opal, and she thought it was best she reply before the pony seem to lose focus once more. "It's been great, the pegasi have done a great job clearing the sky for sundown." Her eyes riveted out a window and back. "My name's Cello Opal."

"Cleared the Sky for sundown... Cleared the Sky... The Sky... Sky... Sky..." her thoughts trailed off. She snapped back and responded "Oh yeah that's... That's great. Then we should have a nice view of the starry... Sky..." She was beginning to think that going to this party was a really, really bad idea.

Ace walked over to the group "hey there im Flying Ace" Ace said bowing to both of them then looking to Arrow. "Well it seems your making alot of friends now, sadly im not into gardening im not really an outside pony." Ace said trying to start another convosation.

This stinks... I know no one here! Maybe I can recognize a few off the bat just by looks, but-- Wait. I CAN'T EVEN DO THAT! THEY'RE ALL DIFFERENT.

 

Somber shuffled his backhooves across the carpet, looking down. He prayed to Celestia that no one would spot him like this. He didn't want to be the party pooper... Even if he wasn't part of the party...

"My name is Arrow Leaf. Its nice to meet you Eve." She smiled then looked at Ragnar "What's your name ?" She asked, as Ace trotted over. "Oh, Hey Ace. I love gardening, Its what I was born to do." She smiled, Happy that Ace had ignored her tiny age mistake. *You would think I am used to saying im young, but no... I have to screw up.* She thought.

"A...ha." She clearly has feelings for Sky. If only I could make this easier, to get Sky over here to talk to her, she just seems so distracted and there's nothing she can do about it. "Yup. Starry sky." She glanced at Sky and looked back. He seemed to be talking to somepony else. "You seem a bit distracted, need a drink?"

Ragnar glanced at Evergreen, and introduced himself, "Hello Evergreen, or uh, Eve, my name is Ragnar. It's a pleasure to meet you." He took a second glance at Eve, and realized how beautiful she was. *Don't freak out Ragnar. Just stay cool,* he thought.

 

After hearing Arrowleaf's question he smiled and answered, "My name is Ragnar, did I forget to tell you?" He blushed.

 

He then turned his attention towards Flying Ace,"Hello, as you've probably heard by now, my name is Ragnar".

"Yeah... Yeah a drink would be great right now" They went over to the punch bowl, Krystal making sure she was facing away from Sky. They got to the bowl and Krystal poured herself a cup full, drinking it all quickly "That's strong stuff" she thought "Good..." she poured another cup and started to gulp it down.

Somber was already getting thirsty, but at the same time, he doesn't want to be noticed. He got up and poured himself a glass of punch, trying to make his way past the group of ponies that he passed on the way there. 

 

Stay calm... STAY. CALM. Good, good, stay calm.

Cello Opal took a cup and began to swallow, but hurried the action and said quietly, "You really shouldn't drink that much." This is because of her thoughts toward Sky. She's practically going into depression! She quickly finished drinking and said, "I'll be right back." She went over to Sky, who was with Cloud Puff. She leaned in and told him, "You should really go over and speak with Krystal over there, she seems a bit strange. I don't quite know what to tell her." She smiled and turned, smiling and waving toward Krystal.

Krystal ignored Cello as she tried to stop her, she just kept on drinking. When Cello went over to Sky, Krystal thought "Great. Now she's trying to get him to talk to me" she thought as she watched Cello smile and wave back at her. Krystal didn't wave back, she just turned around with her drink and sat down on an empty couch in the corner, sulking in her depression.

*Good! I made it back without being spotted.*

 

Somber went ahead and took a seat right back on the couch. Little did he know that some pony else was also occupying part of the couch, as he took a sip of his punch.

 

"Wow, this punch is really good.", he said quietly.

Evergreen seemed to notice that many of the stallions there seemed to be glancing at her out of the corner of their eyes, Ragnar included. She wasn't used to attracting anypony's wandering eyes... She shifted uncomfortably, and brushed her forest green mane, streaked with lime, out of her eyes. Doing so, she thought she spotted a familiar figure... On the couch... Alone, with punch... 

 

"It's been nice meeting you all... But... Um... excuse me. But I think I've just seen somepony I know..." She backed out of the little bunch of ponies, and, grabbing a glass of punch on her way there, sat down next to Somber on the couch. "Hey, Somber. Fancy seeing you here?"
