"Oh, great, I'm late AGAIN," Cloud Puff mumbled angrily to herself as she trotted up to the front gates. Knocking, she wondered who else had come to Evergreen's party. Growing bored, she started tapping her hoof, and started to hum the song she'd had stuck in her head all week.

Draco heard the knocking ion the front gates "Hey Eve you have another party guest arriving," Draco said over the music. When that didn't work he walked to the gate himself "Wait Cloud Puff is that you?" Draco asked as his smile widened. "It's me Draco O'mlly from the Wonderbolts Academy,"

"OH! Um... Hi. Yeah, it's me. How've you been?" Cloud said as she slipped in through the gates. She barely remembered flight camp, and almost didn't remember him. Draco... He was the one that she beat in that race, by a long shot. Glancing over to see many ponies she didn't know, she be ame eager to meet someone new.

"Been good but I've been really busy. Being a courier is hard work you know but rewarding. So how have you been my friend?" Draco asked his friend with a gentle smile. He also opened up the gate for her. "Come on in milady the party is about to start,"

(Guess I was thinking of someone else, then. Oh well, doesn't really matter, it was just filler.)

"I've been pretty well. Just got accepted into the Cloudsdale Meteorology College for Gifted Pegasi, so I'm pretty pumped. Tuition is pretty expensive, though. I start in a few months. My brother just got engaged, so I'm going to his wedding next spring, that'll be exciting." Cloud said with excitement. She had been waiting quite a long time for the college to accept her.

Draco laughed "I see anyhow I have an opening for a part timer you know at the O'mally delivery services. I can use the help anyway. You'll be likee my secretary. Want to know what the pay is for part time or full time?" Draco asked as he looked at the mare infront of him.

"Uh, yeah, sure, I guess. Also, time slots? It's funny that you funny brought that up, I've been thinking about finding a part time job." Cloud shot another anxious glance in the direction of the others. Her stomach rumbled. *Great, now I'm hungry. Maybe he can wrap tis up quick...*

"When are you available?" Draco asked as he pulled out a time schedule for her. "And your hungry aren't you Cloud Puff?" he said as he handed her the schedule. "Think it over you'll be payed 80 bit an hours," Draco said as he smiled at his friend. "Just think it over," He walked back to Arrow.

Lance was godly late for the party. Hoping that he would not get TOO late, he decided to gallop as fast as he could, although it was not very much faster than six trots per second.

 

"No, no, no... I can't get late for this! I knew I should have left my job behind and go to Ponyville instead, which was closer to Eve's house and garden..." Lance thought, growing weary as he tried to speed up.

 

He finally saw the house. Beautiful architecture, and that garden gate. Delightful! Lance was thinking of staying there and stare at the garden forever, but reality intruded.

 

"Chop sticks and strip poles, I'm late!" He said. Sure that the pony who opens the door would be mad for his absence, he quickly trotted to the door.

(ooc: Is it a door or a fence gate I am knocking on? Also, "Chop sticks and strip poles" is what Lance uses to say "Holy sh!t"... Indeed, I had no better way to say that.)

"Oh you mean the deepest part of the pool? Ok, I guess..." he said to Evergreen. He then put his hat on the side of the pool, and he dove down, he started to note the fish that where tickling him, he had reached the bottom of the pool, a little quicker than Evergreen, and preceded to get some air, the flying fish where almost done with him, until he got up in the air.

Hop was impressed. He was actually holding the stance she had put him in. Most ponies were unable to do so, and being able to really caught her attention. Umbra then commented on her wings and Hop blushed a little. "Well, uh..thanks." She said now looking away in embarrassment. Hop could tell he was attempting to be flirtatious, although weak, they were cute. She continued, "They dont get used as mich as they used to." She ruffled the feathers to shake off being embarrassed. "Youre not bad looking yourself." She said ruffing up his hair a bit, giving him a smile. " Why dont you come with me and we could talk?" She asked as she turned around and waited for him to stand by her side.

"s-sorry for m-making you wait, H-hop" he said, trotting up next to her, his cheeks completely pink "I'd n-never miss the ch-chance to t-t-talk to such a b-beautiful mare" As he drew level with her he did something neither of them had been expecting. He kissed her lightly on the cheek.

Umbra looked at her, obviously just as surprised as she was "Um..... I....... Y-you're cute and I um I l-l-like you a lot. S-s-sorry I shouldn't have done that......."  He looked down at the floor, blushing heavily, convinced he'd done the wrong thing and spoilt any chance he'd ever have.

With a sad expression, Hop looked at him. She felt pity for the poor thing. Hop let out a small sigh and put a hoof on his shoulder. "Come on, i didnt mean to make you feel bad. I understand that you like me, but...if you really want me youre going to have to do better than that." She said lifting up his eyes to meet her.

With a smile, she nodded her head, "Well yes. Many of them lack what i really want unfortunatly. But dont get me wrong, alot of them are well mannered as they come from manehatten and Canterlot." She said as a matter of fact.

Eve blushed. She hadn't noticed everypony leaving the poolside, leaving her and Leaf alone. Even now, even here, in her element, Eve struggled to find something to say to the handsome stallion. All she managed was a bit of a splutter as she inhaled water. She made her way to the side of the pool, coughing, which eventually subsided into giggles as she laughed at her own predicament.

At the third knock Lance lost balance and fell forward into his hooves, his face hitting the ground. The gate was left opened! It was a trap! A slight inch of pain went through his whole head, like a mind spike.

He blushed a fiery red, looking around to see if no pony saw his blundering.

 

"Oh... O-oh my... Ouch... My head. I should really see where I'm placing my hooves on more carefuly." He said.

"This might have cost me my chance, if any at all, to find a mare who can fill the rest of my empty heart..." He tought, extremely concerned.

 

Looking around, he noticed that the party was not that stirred. It was a calm party, actually. Compared with his part-time job... Well. It was like heavens.

"Well its certainly nice to meet you." Her voice filled with excitement. He was defiantly worth it! She motioned him to sit down. She couldnt believe that she actually liked him. She had never thought about dating because of her work. She knew what an obsession with somepony could cause. It was one of her most common types of cases she had to deal with. But...he was worth it!

Umbra sat down, smiling at her. "How about I tell you a little about me. All my life I've been moving between Britannia and Equestria because of my job in the Royal Air Force. Recently however, I got my wing broken in-flight and they struck me off, I've been looking for a new job for a while though I was compensate quite a bit for it" He laughs "But, enough of me. How about you, beautiful Mare?" He smiles.

Lance was still in the ground, as he heard the voice of somepony. O EM GEE I AM LISTENING TO VOICES FROM BEYOND THE DEAD.

He looked at the mare's reptillic eyes, and got on his hooves.

 

"I... I am more than ok... I am... Ouch... I am fine, I guess." He said, still with a little peak of pain after he got up. He got stable once again, and could now talk perfectly.

 

"Well, my name is Lance. Romulus Lance Romance. I say, I am pleased to meet thee. What is your name?" He said with a slight touch of Canterlot charm.

He then brushed his mane with his hooves, trying to get it as it was before.
