Your favorite Video Games of 2012?

I'm fairly new to the forums, (enjoying my stay so far though) and I was looking to either buy a few games or add some to a wishlist. I tend to enjoy games such as Call of Duty (Even though MW3 was terrible IMO). I know there are tons of good games from this year but i'd like to hear some opinions on which was the best. A top 5 list would be nice. My top 3 from 2012 would be:

1- Assassin's Creed 3

2 - Call of Duty Black Ops II

3 - Borderlands 2

1. Mass Effect 3 : I don't care what people say about the ending, it's awesome. :3

2. Dishonored : This game is pretty cool. And deserves 2nd greatest at the least.

3. Black Ops 2 : It's number 3 because it still contains the same multiplayer formula, but The Emblem Maker, Zombies, and Campaign are awesome.

4. Assassins Creed 3 : A great take on the Assassins Creed series. New Features and Civil War time keeps the famous game series fresh as always.

5. Playstation All Stars Battle Royale : Although it's a PS3 version of SSBM, I found connecting to the characters was much easier than doing so in SSMB (Considering I never really played Nintendo Games)

 

6. Borderlands 2 : It just didn't appeal to me that much. The Co-Op system was nice (Like Always) and the story was solid, but I just can't get into the Borderlands series as much as others.

Hmm... I don't think I actually played a release of 2012 ... lemme think... erm... 

 

1. The Darkness II

2. Diablo III

3. erm... can I think... damn I haven't kept up with games this year. I mean I have, I just didn't give a damn about any of them... Slender?...

1. FarCry 3 (My only complaint about it is I felt that vass dies to early on in the game.)

2. Call of Duty: Black ops 2 

3. Medal of honor warfighter 

4. Halo 4 (The reason it was so low on this list id just I expected something much different.)

5.  Dishonored (Last on my list because eh it was good but nothing I play forever.)

1. Dishonored - Refreshing game with an interesting story and makes you feel like a genuine assassin! By far the most fun I've had with any stealth game in many years. AC3 got nowhere near this title.

 

2. Awesomenaughts - Best MOBA style game I've played. Graphic style is great and the characters are fantastic and the music is almost perfect.

 

3. Planetside 2: I've been waiting a long time for a shooter like this. The sheer scale of the game is astounding and I feel it's by far the best F2P game at the moment

 

4. Torchlight 2 - Exactly what I wanted from the sequel to an already brilliant game. Outshines Diablo 3 is every way possible.

 

5. Borderlands 2. Awesome game, perfect for playing co-op with a friend. Only reason this isn't higher is because I felt they could of taken a few more risks with the game rather than creating more of the same.

2012 was full of awesome videogames, but i must say my favorite was...

Well, my favorite games of 2012. I could think of a million titles to say but, I'll just say it.

 

1. Far Cry 3

2. Black Ops II

3. Borderlands 2

4. Assassins Creed III

 

All of these 4 titles really, defined 2012 for video games.

So I am the only one who thinks that no good games came out this year? Not saying that there were only bad games this year, I just feel that there hasn't been a game that i can continue to play over and over again with enjoyment each time. Most of the usual ones that you picked above...sure i have all of them but i can find so many flaws about them...Although games that came out this year would be

 

1.The Walking Dead 1-5 (You cannot simply choose one)

2.Assassin's Creed 3

3.Guild Wars 2

4.Far Cry 3 

 

If Mods were in this...the list would be different

Thanks for the help! I just watched the trailer for Dishonored for the first time, not that I didn't hear about the game but it never got my attention. Well, so far I think I'm going to be buying Dishonored and Far Cry 3. Thanks for the help guys! I'm still open for suggestions though so if anyone else wants to post, i'd appreciate it.

am i the only one whos favorite isnt rated M?anyways, my favorite video game of 2012 would have to be kirbys 20th dream collection.its really fun, even though i mostly play kirby super star.its really fun,you guys should try it. that'd probaly be my only fav game of 2012.

best 60bits I have ever spent in all my life... characters well made, story was wonderful and over all game play was really really fun! Hell I still play it to day
