writing The Events of Winter

Pan the Fabulous Ferret

Recommended Posts

So here I stand,

Embracing the snow.

The Wind assaults my face,

And all my tears have dried.

It seems like so long ago,

That winter began.

Our natural rights,

A heart forced into beating,

And the ability to feel.

The simple connection,

Of a life worth dying for.

Yet winter is come and gone,

Who stands to comfort me?

My feelings mix,

Of seditious thoughts and actions.

Others take their aim,

And down I fall.

But I no longer feel the pain;

The wind against my face,

Or the blood stained snow as I fall.

The bodies of men and children.

Winter’s form to take.
