((Tolkien based the language of the Elves on the Gaelic Languages, Welsh and Gaelic specifically, and on the Nordic ones, Finnish and Icelandic specifically. Descant studied among the deer for some time, and when he speaks their tongue, which he does often, it will be one of these languages. So far, all I've used is Welsh, and I'll probably stick with Welsh, but I'd imagine he could speak the others, too. I'm under the assumption that we can say the Fan Race of Deer roughly correspond to Elves? I can change it if the Master disapproves.))

((Gets my personal seal of approval. I have resisted using Tolkien languages for most of the RP. Radathon trî i thraw hen ned i postog.Gwathon chaust nîn.))

"Well met friend. It seems you are one hard pony to lose." Helm put a hoof on Descants shoulder, some faith at least restored. "Come now, the road north will be a long one. We will keep going until dusk, then we set camp. Until then we can discuss whatever it is you wish to know."

Helm hefted the pack on his shoulder. "Let's get moving"

Descant smiled at his old friend. He was glad, and lucky, that they had been spotted. "Well, first things first... Do you have anything to eat? I'm afraid these two got a full blast from one of my little lullabies, and I could probably use a pick-me-up as well. It's not easy to play a lullaby, and there were guards right in the way." He did seem rather pale.

((I don't actually know what that means, I'm not far enough into the Tolkien fandom to be able to read Elvish. I was using literal Welsh. Literal Welsh, trying to phrase it to minimise all the random w's in the sentence, and Finnish for the other tribe. Makes it easy for the rest of us, see? Google Translate. Ond mae angen i mi yn dysgu iaith go iawn o gorachod..))

((OOC : Geez. Sorry everypony. Distracted by many tests yesterday. That was a lot to read, but well. The company is trying to escape the town without being noticed isn't it? ))

Cunning Horn strode along the city streets just like an ordinary pony folk. His eye balls moved to any direction as he tried to avoid any guard. He was just finished a half way to the outskirt of the city when two patrolling guards noticed his sword. Cunning Horn glanced around the street and walked through the crowd to a stall in the side of the road. He took his sword with its sheathe, hoof it to the trader, and acted like he was negotiating with the trader. He found that the guard stopped looking at him and continued patrolling the city. He snorted and took his sword back from the confused trader.

Another couple of guard stopped him when he walked through the gate and asked about his weapon, "Oh. It's just a thing of me uncle's friend whose father is a relative of my grandfather's mother-in-law. Me uncle asked me to bring it to his friend's house in Canterlot for wall decoration".

One of the guard looked at him curiously and smirked, "I haven't seen you before and I just want you know that we have a strict policy about carrying weapon, but since you seems new here, I will just ask the compensation fee for it".

Cunning Horn gave the guard 'oh I see' look as he put some silvers from his pocket which he hid in his mane and hoof it to the guard, "Hope that enough. Thank ye officer". He stumbled when he walked away and stole the guard's gold pocket as he leaned to the guard for balance, "Sorry. Me bad". He staggered away and glanced back to the guards. They stared at the silvers he gave with a smirk on their face, as if they were the one who tricked him. He smirked and drank some rum from his bottle as he tracked the dirt road for his companion.

Star Rain had read romances from time to time, but this was the first time she got to actually SEE one! She could sense something going on between Arrow and Seeker and whatever that something was, it strangely made her feel warm on the inside. She could also sense some of Arrow's past trauma, almost like her own.

Sturdy smiles at the scene unfolding before him, before putting a wing on Star's shoulder

"Leave them to their business young one, I believe we are to be off soon anyway" He laughs softly

"Come now Star, I shall guard you along our journey" He smiles and begins to walk north with the group, towards the mighty Everfree forest, a wide grin on his face, excited for potential conflict

"Group Leader!" He calls "This path leads through my daily patrol route in the forest, I know exactly where we are going if you need me to take point"

Arrow nodded and stood up.

"Everypony has everything they need right ?" She asked, Quickly going through her bags to make sure she hadn't forgotten anything.

"And I know what...One of you is going to say. I know that we are not going back." She said, closing her bag and looking back at the town.

"I know these paths, for I travelled them much when I was younger. But if you are eager to aid then I would not mind some extra guidance." Helm gestured for him to stand next to him.

"Come now, we wont have too long before the sun sets on us." He pulled the pack over his shoulder and began the long walk along the Everfree. Star Keeper followed quickly behind him, urging the others to follow.

Goldseek carefully followed Helm and Star. He wasn't about to get lost in Everfree. He had been to the evil forest once, when he was just six. He thought he had made a friend that day. Unfortunately, that friend was a... traitor. He had almost died in that forest. Timber-wolves, manticores, all kinds of evil behind those trees. "I don't have the... happiest memories in that forest."

Sturdy laughed excitedly and flapped his wings mightily, soaring ahead to the front of the group, walking alongside Helm as we closed in on the forest

"I am going to be busy when I get back... Without me here these forests are going to get a bit restless" He sighs, helm-blade readied for combat and wing clips attached reliably due to Goldseek's help

"And now the company is complete, or as complete as it needs to be... Are you a good fighter Helm? Or am I going to be carrying you?" He laughs, grinning widely

"Worry not Goldseek, there are more than enough of us here to be safe... Not to mention at least two of us know these forests like the back of our hooves" He smiles comfortingly at the worried pony

"I patrol these forests and roads to keep the timberwolves and such away from the cities, there can't possibly be anything inside this place that we cannot handle, ok?"

"Lets hope your right." Goldseek knew what to expect. Dagger in his hoof, he followed the gang, aware of any unnatural movement or sound. The more he walked, the more familiar the place became, until eventually, he could have sworn he was at the same place he almost died. The dreaded place. The place where he first killed a pony.

Star Rain jumped a little when she felt something feathery on her shoulder. "Oh ok. Thanks," Star Rain said in response. She was becoming more comfortable around these folk, but still said little. She knew very well that they're no threat of any sort to her. She felt very secure as she followed Sturdy into the forest.

Sturdy Wing walks alongside Helm leading the group through the forest, hooves clomping loudly and wings held tight against his body, before turning around and noticing Star walking alone

"Star" he calls out loudly "Come walk with me, don't want anything sneaking up on our smallest member" He grins playfully, not meaning to offend, but hoping that Star remains safe

"Not that I don't think you can defend yourself, but it will be safe"

Star Rain's ears twitched with annoyance at Sturdy's comment. I won't deny, it's better to have extra protection that doesn't come from shield spells. But seriously, I may be small, but I bet I would make one powerful mage! she thought, confident at her abilities. Regardless, she ran up to Sturdy's side and and had her psychokinesis focused on her sword just in case they were attacked.

Arrow strapped on her bag and followed Helm into the forest.

*And it begins.* She thought, looking back at the town which slowly disappeared as the group walked deeper into the forest.

Arrow took a deep breath and smiled. *Its nice to be surrounded by nature again.* She thought.

The company would have to leave the road for now, travelling on hoof along the boarder line of the Everfree Forest. No pony would come near that accursed place, let alone into it. It would however give them cover until they reached the lake. Helm and Goldseek took the lead, followed closely by the others. Star wearily stayed at the pack, constantly watching the shifting trees for any danger. After a few hours of tramping his nerves set for at least a while.

The forest began to grow thicker around them, the darkness creeping over the world and Luna's night greeting them. Helm deposited his pack, letting it fall onto the rock. He looked around at his surroundings to see if it was safe enough. They had found themselves against the hillside against a wall of rock. There was a small clearing for them to rest and build a fire. It would suffice for the night.

"We will camp here. Leave your packs in a pile and rest your legs. It's been a long day." He slumped up against a rock. "We'll have to survive without our cook for now. Arrow; start a fire in the centre of the camp."

"Sturdy; you will discuss with me over our next route. Sweet Love, Descant; keep watch of the packs and a keen eye on the forest. We never know what lurks here."

"The rest of you; get started on pitching the tents. We need to have this camp ready before it grows too dark."

Goldseek got to work putting up tents. It was something he was use to doing, since his whole life, he never really had a home. He was always running or searching or just traveling. He was born in war. He put the first one together, then, looking proud, moved onto the next. The lullaby Descant had played rolled around and around in his head, and he eventually fell to the ground, snoring loudly.

(OOC: Ok guess it was a typo, my bad)

Sturdy approaches Helm with map in teeth, before spreading it out and using his hoofs to hold it down "Alright helm, where are we off to next? and where is are ultimate goal here. Because these forests get real timberwolfy real fast"

Arrow placed her bag with the rest then trotted over to a tree next to the campsite. She smiled and lay down next to it.

Some of the tree's roots slowly moved around her. Arrow giggled. "You're a lively one." She muttered, Smiling and resting her head on one of the large roots.

Cunning Horn stared at the dirt road as he walked. He was tracking a tight hoof print which marched northward. He guessed that it was the party. His gaze followed the track into a tree. No, couple of tree. No, forest for sure. He pulled his upper lip to the left quickly in a weird expression. The Everfree Forest. "Oh great" He thought and started running, following the track. A soft sound of water stole his ear's attention as he moved his head up and down to the track and to the way he was running. He slowed down his pace. The river sound became louder and louder. He heard some ponies talking and he saw a glint of orange light between some trees. He unsheathe his schianova and paced slowly to the light. He stopped behind a bush and narrowed his eyes through the dark. He spotted some ponies around the camp fire, and the space around it was empty to the further area where the light gone. He sighed. He knew those ponies. One of them was the pony-with-flute who flirted another companion in the tavern the night before. He jumped from his hiding place and sheathe his thin sword as he walked towards the camp fire, "Ahoy there matey! Guess I'm not late...Am I?".

Hearing the shifting noise and seeing the form of a pony jump out of the trees, he lowers his glinting horn and charges at the form, wings spread wide, ready to gore the being before stopping short at hearing his greeting

"HELM!" He calls out, horn pointed threateningly at the new pony

"This pony, is he one of us?"

Helm instantly stood upright, pulling out one of his concealed throwing axes and aiming it at the new arrival. One could never be too careful in these parts of the world. As soon as he recognized who it was he lowered his weapon. "What did I say about meeting us at the river. Get over here and help us set up camp."

He pointed a foreleg at  Sturdy. "Come, we must look over which rout we shall follow in the morning." Helm laid out one of his maps of Equestria on the stone ground, brushing the dust aside.

Star Rain jumped back and her horn glowed cyan, about to fire an attack. It stopped glowing after she calmed down because Helm apparently recognizes him from the meeting at the inn. When she overheard Sturdy comment on how the forest gets infested with timberwolves pretty easily, she thought about it for a little bit, then got an idea! "You think I can cast a barrier spell on the whole camp?" she asked, turning to Helm and Sturdy.

"Very well Helm" Sturdy says, shaking himself out of potential combat mode, and welcoming the new guy into the group "Lets go, get over here and make yourself comfortable" Hovering slowly back to helms position he converses quietly about their next move.

"Which direction do you want to head out in the morning? I know we are supposed to stick near the river" He tentatively states "But... that is also where most of the beasts remain as well"

Star Rain jumped back and her horn glowed cyan, about to fire an attack. It stopped glowing after she calmed down because Helm apparently recognizes him from the meeting at the inn. "No please" Sturdy says, turning around from the map for a moment "Giant magical barriers tend to attract lots of attention and, no offense to you miss, I am not confident enough in your ability to maintain a shield in your sleep that it justify s the risk" He smiles warmly and turns back around

"Keep your strength, keep the fires low and get lots of rest. We have lots of travel tomorrow"

Well you are right about me not keeping it up while I'm sleeping Star Rain thought, a little annoyed. And please, I hate being called "Miss"!  She then set up her tent and took an apple out of her saddlebags. She levitated it over the fire for about 10 minutes and, after letting it cool a little, she ate it. Her eyes widened at the taste and the heat. "Does...anypony...have...water?!" she asked between deep breaths in an attempt to cool her mouth down.

"Yes of course I do" Sturdy says, bucking his pack over to the parched unicorn "Enjoy, and be a little bit more careful next time"

"So Helm" he turns back to the map "Have you decided what you are doing? I will spearhead our group wherever you choose to send us"

Goldseek sat up with a huge gasp. He looked around, confused. He must have dosed off. Looking around, he realized there was now a campfire, so he sat up and walked towards it to warm himself up. It was freezing, and he wondered how he could sleep in the cold. He took an apple out of his pack and began to eat.
