Bazinga idea, theoretical help of carpenters and plushie makers wanted!

Well, the idea is basically to make an MLP inspired rocking horse consisting of wooden skeleton covered in plushie, sort of like this one http://images.canadianlisted.com/nlarge/chrisha-playful-plush-rocking-horse-with-sounds_5087948.jpg
But obviously depicting an MLP charachter.

 

I can't promise I will start working right away, most likely will postphone until summer, but I would like at least to get the patterns down for woodwork and at least general outline of pattern sheets.

 

I have basics of sewing down, and also very basic woodworking skills, as well as ways to outsource the more complex woodworking, but I would like to filter the idea here, maybe someone has already done it or something similar, and has some experience?

 

What worries me is that show accurate ponies are really top heavy, I guess ballance would be an issue...

 

I will also consider plain wood version of it with basically show accurate head, tail and leg profile, but modified body for a seat.
