"No no no no, Quip, Please come. That was just me being antisocial...You are welcome to join us." She gestured for him to follow then trotted off towards the beach, Hoping that Rockshire and Quip were following.

Rockshire nodded and started to follow Star with her to the beach, noticing her a bit more. It stunk that her eye for detail was always alert...

 

"I'm not meaning to pry on you or anything, but... I'm guessing somepony made you come to this party... To make friends, is that right?", she asked her.

Star nodded. "My friend Diamond keeps telling me I need to be more social...So she keeps trying to find parties and things for me to attend" She chuckled. "So, What about you, How did you come across this party ?" She asked, Smiling as they walked around a corner and the big lake came into sight.

Rockshire looked a bit down to the ground. "*sighs*... The original concept was to view the castle as part of my art agenda. But, sadly, all the time I've been doing this, I haven't gotten any free time... So, as a bit of a lie, I used this party as an excuse to observe the castle... But, I did that to get out of my art phase...

 

Oh, dear, I'm sorry... I forgot to mention. I'm a sculptor. And I'm also sorry for rambling your ear off..."

"Its ok, I am a listener not a talker." Star giggled.

"The statues and architecture in the castle really is amazing...I can see why a sculptor like yourself would love the chance to  see it." They trotted onto the beach and star walked over to the water, She stuck her hoof in to feel the temperature.

Rockshire smiled back at Star, also dipping a hoof into the water. "Wow, this water is so warm... Anyways, I never get any free time... It's always "View this, critique that".... I never get any downtime to just try and make friends, you know? Never get to spend time with other mares and do "mares-night-out" things, or try to find a stallion for me..."

 

She sighed, flopping onto the sand. "It's tough, I tell you..."

Quip had returned to the castle to check out the other rooms, he thought if Star didn't want him there at first, then why would she want him there afterwards? He tried to ignore the other ponies so he could make observations about the castle. "Without heavy machinery, you wouldn't be able to compact sand to this state..."

She sighed, flopping onto the sand. "It's tough, I tell you..."

"Well...I know how you feel. I have often kinda dreamed of that perfect somepony, But I have never found them." She fell back onto the sand next to Rockshire and looked up at the sky. "What a nice day." She muttered, smiling and taking a deep breath, Then closing her eyes.

"I'm sure we'll find one for us sometime...", Rockshire said, as she looked back up into the sky. Star was right. It WAS a nice day... It even started to make her a bit drowsy, as she closed her eyes, and fell to her side, her muzzle unusually close to Star's as they laid there...

Cascade's ears perked as she heard that comment. She quickly curtsied to Star Keeper- "Excuse me for a moment?" -before whisking across the room to Quip's side. "You're right. Obviously I couldn't have built all this with my own four hooves and a bit of magical effort from a friend. I must be a robot." She laughed at her own joke, shortly after telling it.

Star smiled at Rockshire. "You're...You're a cool gal Rockshire." She lay her hoof down next to her feeling it brush against Rockshires. Star blushed and quickly moved her hoof. "Sorry." She muttered, Rolling onto her side to face Rockshire. She opened her eyes and was a little surprised at how close they were.

Star blushed and quickly moved her hoof. "Sorry." She muttered, Rolling onto her side to face Rockshire. She opened her eyes and was a little surprised at how close they were.

 

Rockshire smiled back at Star, not very affected by their hooves touching, as she looked into her eyes. "I like being around you... It feels great to be talking with someone like you, Star..." Surprisingly, she didn't notice her being so close to Star... She was more mesmerized by her eyes than the situation...

Quip turned to face the voice, only to see it was the owner. He chuckled and shook his head lightly, "I'm not a unicorn, so i don't really take in the fact that there is magic in equestria. I'm more of a science pony honestly, you can't just mess around with fireworks and not know what you are doing. Amount of powder, amount of flak bal- i mean, spheres, size, shape. Its a lot of work you have to put into. Big machines are a thing of the future."

 

(Did anyone else see that episode of dirty jobs with the fireworks? I did)

Rockshire accepted her hoof and got up back to her hooves, as they both moved closer to the water. "The water is really warm... It's perfect for a swim... And... Well.. I'm also happy... To meet someone as fun as you, Star..."

Cascade grinned, and waved her wings around. "Do these look like a horn to you?" Moments later, she withdrew the wings, her expression much more subdued, meek. She wished she hadn't done that. She didn't like drawing so much attention to her wings. WHY did she always do things without thinking like that? She hoofed at the ground, now embarrassed, almost ashamed.

I wouldn't guess it would be any small amount of time"

Star grinned and waded a little ways into the water, Then she opened her wings and dived in, Using her wings to help push her through the water. A little ways out she popped her head up out of the water and she laughed. "This Lake Is So Clear." She said, Looking down at her hooves in the water. "It must be at least 35 feet here...An I can still see clearly see the bottom." She said

Rockshire waded up to halfway about her hooves, dipping her head into the water, and opening her eyes underwater to see clearness.

 

Pulling back up, she looked to Star. " You're right! It's really clear!"

(OOC: Her wings are unusual. The defect is in the feathers, arranged far too thickly and smoothly to allow for flight. If you look at my drawing, you'll see sort of what I mean. They look more like penguin wings, than normal bird wings. They're not horribly ugly or malformed, but they're different, and she's incredibly sensitive about them because she was teased in school about them in Las Pegasus, and about how she couldn't fly...) 

 

Cascade smiled, still blushing, but glad that he didn't seem to have noticed, and glad she had conversation to distract herself with, too. Slowly, thinking, she said, "Well, with me and my unicorn friend working on this... He would condense the sand, you know... And use his magic to help me with the ceilings and the really high parts outside. We've been working on this for at least nine months. And it's not even done yet. We've barely started on the upper floors."

Star nodded and swam a little ways closer to Rockshire, Then she rolled over onto her back. She used her wings to keep herself from tipping over and looked up at the sky, Trying to make shapes out of the clouds.

 

(OOC: I also gotta go to bed...I think a really bad headache and barely being able to type anything is a good sign.)

*Buck im late! Why do parties always have to be on my busiest days? I swear the universe just dosnt want me to go to them.* Hop thought as she flew to the party. She hopped that the host wouldnt be mad with her showing up late, but she did have a good reason for it too.

 

Ariving to the location, which so happened to be a sand castle, Hop entered through the front door not seeing anypony either because she really hopped nopony saw her come late amd because she needed a small rest. (Wow, that sentence was longer than i wanted...) She heard music coming from one of the doors but instead went to a diferent set...

Draco walked into the sand castle slowly then he noticed Hop "Hey Little hop how are you doing my friend?" Draco asked his friend as he walked towards her shuffling his wings. Of course he loves to tease his female friends so when she gives away her first well Draco will be there to mercilessly tease her.

Cascade grinned. "I don't think I'll be giving up on this quite that easily," she said, laughing. "I live here now, you know. And the bedrooms will actually be completed soon, so maybe I don't have long to wait until people can visit!" She seemed happy at the thought. "Right now, all that are in those rooms are the beds. Not much fun to look at, either." She didn't seem to realise that this conversation could be taken the wrong way...
