Experience of the mind

Awaiting me through troubled eyes

Is this the way world was meant to be?

When the best of us

The good and kind

Are all but frowned upon

And left to burn in the endless fires

 

I like to imagine a place

Where times like these are nonexistent

And all rejoice for reasons of trivial nature

Truly, a child’s dream

Yet, by my experience of the mind

I am able to wish for such a thing

 

If only the hate of the world was soured to its own extinction

And the pain of lesser wounds healed by the kindess of others

I only ever seem to wish that others could be happy
