Things you took a while to realize about FIM?

It took me a while to realize that the Mane six only has four voice actresses.

 

I didn't know Andrea Libman voices both Pinkie and Fluttershy.

 

I also didn't know that Scootaloo was handicapped until quite recently actually.

Well technically she hasn't been flat out confirmed that she will never be able to fly, but as for right now she can't.

Lauren faust did say something about it, but that could still change since shes no longer involved with the show.

I hope it stays that way though kinda, adds some variety and her being able to fly randomly one day doesn't make much sense.

I didn't know the voice actors at all until I watched some of the interviews of the voice actors themselves .

I heard about the Handicapped Scootaloo somewhere but I forget.

 

Whoa whoa wait a minute. Lauren Faust's no longer the producer of mlp? When did this happen? I never heard anything about that.

If my memory serves me right she was the one to produce the concept of the ponys in the show, atleast for S1, but I think she was only directly involved in created S1, I think the rest of the seasons she left for or something.

 

I'm almost positive shes gone now, I'm sure I could look it up though . Still I don't think shes had involvement in the show since S1.

The Discord thing is what hooked me on the show, because I loved ponies as a little girl and didn't "get" these new fangled ponies, but Discord was so familiar it drove me insane and when I found out, I was a fan. Cloudsale is a new one on me, that Scootaloo couldn't fly I guess took me a while to realize, and I also only found out like two weeks ago that Faust stopped being the producer like, halfway through season 1. I don't know when she announced it though, I think after season 1. It's on her Deviant Art page. Isn't she still a consulting producer or something though? I still don't know where people are getting the episode titles and schedules ahead of time though, or where they find the leaks and everything!

I don't know if shes involved in the show at all anymore, I kinda think she stuck around as a consulting producer for a little while, but she may have quit that position to. I'll have to look it up I guess.

 

Also the Episode titles and schedules are usually on Wikipedia or something early, I just google MLP episode lists and I'll get a link with one telling episode titles and such.

wow I never even thought cloudsdale connecting to the horse breed and that's my favorite breed XD

 

I also found it cool when I found out about the past selves of the ponies. Like when I noticed my sky skimmer was similar to fluttershy and stuff.

 

Also it wasn't till recently when we had some cider get old ( I knew it chemically changed to alcohol but I didn't know the name) that I found out it was called Applejack.  I guess I just never questioned what exactly Applejack was in terms of apples, since I'm guess it doesn't refer to the cereal XD

This is kinda an odd ball one, but here is something I did not realize. I had no idea that Owlicious was Twilights pet. It did take me tell "May the Best Pet Win" to notice that, but when did it become official? Was that suppose to be something u were going to get at the end of the episode?

You have a good point, they didn't really state it that well, to be honest I found it kinda weird that Twilight was only going to let him stay a little bit, but he ends up staying FOREVER .

Also she says hes nocturnal, yet If I'm not mistakended most of the time hes shown in the episode is during the day.

 

I guess they just kinda implied she kept Owlicious, I mean I don't think after all that Twilight would've let her go, or if Owlicious would've even left. I do think it was a bit odd.

 

Then again "May the best pet win" was the first time Owlicious showed up afterwards anyways, so you would kinda assume he just kinda disappeared until then.

Lyra and Bon Bon first registered in the back of my mind when the Parasprites devoured their cake, but I didn't know much about them until this month. I still miss a lot of BG ponies on the show, but I'm trying to memorize them.

Twillight: She wanted to be seen by her parents as clever. As her older borther always got the spotlight.

Eager to get her parents attention she did a huge exam and cheated when her parents found out they were dissapointed in her and she felt so sad she hung herself.

I cant remember the rest but i dont think these stories are true.

Yeah, I didn't know much about Background ponies for a while, I've got pretty decent with their names though, I'm generally good at atleast remembering names(even if I forget which is which .)

As far as I know the Mane 6 are just based off of G1 and G3 ponies. I haven't heard anything about the stories before so i don't know if I really believe them or not. No offense to you, just I haven't seen it confirmed anywhere myself.

Seems a bit creepy in a way to.

That kind of bugged me...I mean with Luna they show the results of her development, but we didn't get to see any of it happen (minus Luna Eclipsed). I think about that every time I see her--wishing I knew more about her. There are way too many unanswered questions.

I agree, I think Luna could use some more story eventually. Its cool she makes an appearance and all, and she already did get an episode, but she still does have plenty of questions to be answered.

 

Honestly though alot of the Alicorns have alot of unanswered questions.

 

On a side note, Celestia has never had her own episode, I wonder if that will ever happen.. . Would be difficult seeing as shes kinda the mentor and apparently all knowing being of Equestria, so it may never happen.

 

Luna did remain kinda gone for a long while so it does make you wonder what happened during that time.

Posting again because of a new revelation.

 

I just realized that Applejack becoming mini in 'Bridle Gossip' because of the poison joke is likely a reference to an appletini (apple-teenie) which is an alcoholic drink.
