Eve glanced toward the maze distractedly, mind whirring. Her ears flicked a couple of times, and she said, "No, I don't think anypony's in there..." Unless the hedges were lying... Eh. They were the most troublesome lot in the garden... She looked back at Nightfall, giving him a searching look before averting her eyes yet again embarrassedly. "Did you want to go in the maze?"

 

"I want to go where you'd be comfortable. You do look a bit uneasy; you might want to relax a bit..."

"Can anyone get more nervous than her? It's starting to get me worried..."

He looked at her, trying not to show his growing concern for her. She was still very nervous, it seemed, and he didn't really like that.

Eve smiled softly - he was really quite sweet - and forced her tense shoulders to relax. Honestly, she hadn't even noticed how tense she had been since that fire... "Well... I guess we could go into the maze..." She flicked her tail, beckoning for him to walk with her down the path on the right, that would lead to the maze...

 

((I have Chemistry in 15 minutes, and can't get away with using my laptop in this one, so I'll have to use my phone. I might not be able to post much for a while.))

On his way over to the vine garden, Rain was walking by the maze. He glanced inside and stood there for a moment. He shrugged and was about to walk in but he remembered Lila may be looking for him, So he stopped and continued walking towards the vine garden.

Eve smiled softly - he was really quite sweet - and forced her tense shoulders to relax. Honestly, she hadn't even noticed how tense she had been since that fire... "Well... I guess we could go into the maze..." She flicked her tail, beckoning for him to walk with her down the path on the right, that would lead to the maze...

He followed her willingly, noticing her finally start to relax. Her smile showed she was slowly breaking out of her shell. He walked a bit faster and wended up beside her, but in such a way that he wouldn't startle her.

"I've heard about the maze... Is true that it changes..?"

"Hmm?" Dusks facial expression changed a little as he thought about all the complications that come with magic. "I've never thought about it like that before, where I come from there weren't any Unicorns or Pegasi around, only us earth ponies. I'd never actually seen any magic until I came to Ponyville." Looking around at the garden and the living plants around them "I wonder what special talent it took to create this?" He mused.

"Well, Eve is a unicorn, so I'm guessing her spells are related to gardening?" Star Rain guessed. "Well, I'm getting hungry now, so shall we continue on?" she asked, pointing to another path that lead out of the pond area into the area that lead into the floral meadows. She though the refreshments were there.

"Eve? ... oh no, I totally forgot" Dusk started with an aura of panic in his voice "I need to find her and apologise for freaking out her garden earlier..." he continued with a worried look on his face. 

He glanced over to Star, "You dont mind do you? If I quickly head off to find her? I'll um, meet you at the snack table...or...something?"

" I'm just a little worried about you, I can sense you have a dark past too and I'm afraid that's holding you back. I can understand that completely, when you first came up to me I thought you were going to hurt me or something along those lines.. I was afraid of you, but now I'm not" she smiled at him and continued. "I guess I'm concerned you feel the same about me" Silver turned her head slightly as if to shield herself if Leaf was going to get angry at her for asking that..

"You know what, your're right, I did have a dark past... But that wouldn't mean that I would hurt you..." Leaf admitted "My parents.... Mom was too violent and M'Dad... got killed." That's when he started to cry. It was very rare for anypony to ask about his past, and this is what it would look like.

"Actually, it's best that we stick together. We don't have maps and there aren't any signs around. Besides, I don't even know my way around this place," Star Rain said, about to approach the path they had come out of. Then a vine that had formed an archway over the entrance to the pond started to have orange flowers on it that made it seem like it was on fire. "OH GE-" then she calmed down when she realized it was only a fire vine.

You didn't have to tell me" Silver glanced at him " Leaf, I understand your pain, and I'm sorry you have to deal with this.. But you're not alone now, you don't have to fight alone anymore" Silver nuzzled him again trying to brim more comfort praying that it would work.

"Thanks for helping me make myself feel better, you are a good pony." Then, Leaf started to wonder more about Silver Sun's past.

As they continued walking she kept reliving her past, she shuddered but kept walking beside him. " Could we rest for a minute? I know we've only been walking for a little bit but I'm feeling weak at the moment"

He closed his eyes and smiled - "Sure, I just thought you might like to get away from me for a while" he laughed, and saw Eve walking towards the maze. His coat shimmered and darkened a shade, his ears plastered to his head and he swallowed hard - "Y'know...m-maybe we sh-should get something to eat first like we planned" he turned around stiffly and began walking down the path.

Evergreen flashed a small grin. "Yes, the maze really is a tricky one. We'll have to be careful that it doesn't try and seperate us." Her tone didn't make it exceptionally obvious that her statement was an entirely serious one. And she led Nightfall in through the dark entrance to the hedge maze...

She began to follow Dusk to the path that she thought was going to lead to the place where the refreshments are(it was actually going to lead to the flower meadows). "Hey, um, what's your home like? Rain happily admired the many flower's and vines. His antler's got tangled a couple times but he managed to get them out without hurting Evergreen's plants.

Leaf Orange muzzled Silver back, the same way that she did it to him. "Yea, back at the pond, I wasn't ready to tell either... You can tell me the whole story anytime you want..." he said with some encouragement. Leaf could feel another tear that was his coming down.

"When I was..taken.. The ponies that took me did terrible things to me..I can't tell you what right now.. But it was horrendous.. I couldn't escape no matter what I tried, and when they caught me trying to escape, the torture would start again.. I finally gave up" Silver felt his tear hit her shoulder and she leaned into him hoping that she would comfort him as much as he comforted her. " I was found a year later, nearly dead in a basement somewhere.. I can't remember the city.. And was returned to my parents, but since then I've been cautious and afraid of every strange pony. Leaf, you're the first pony I've felt comfortable around for a very long time."

Before I moved to Ponyville I lived east in Hollow Shades" he paused, looking off into the sky somewhere in deep thought. "It was your average work-a-day village, y'know. Everypony knew everypony and earned their own livings, we where no exception to that." He looked Star straight in the eyes - "since I moved here, i've not spoken to anypony aside from Mr and Mrs. Cake, i've always been too afraid, but..."

(Well, i didn't see your last post (if you had one) and nobody is approaching Shell. Not my fault. Anyway, Marisa's now up for chat if anypony wants)

 

Marisa smiled and nodded lightly. She wrote a few more notes and decided to go get some food as well, putting her notepad and pencil in her saddlebag (we will just say she had one...)  before heading to (enter area with food) to get a drink.

"Hollow Shades?" Star Rain asked, eyes wide with curiosity, having never heard of such village before. "Is it like a village built into a hole in the ground, shadowed by broad, leafy trees?" she asked, trying to imagine what Dusk's hometown must've looked like.

He stepped a little closer to her and grinned, and laughed heartily on the inside.

"Because you are opening up well, but staying close to you may get you nervous again... I don't wanna make you nervous again..."

Dusk tripped over an outstretched vine as he walked, still looking at Star. "Oof!" He lifted his head from the ground, to see plants covering the fields ahead. "Um...I think we missed a turn" he struggled to his feet, eyes darting around looking for anypony who might have seen him trip.

Dusk tripped over an outstretched vine as he walked, still looking at Star. "Oof!" He lifted his head from the ground, to see plants covering the fields ahead. "Um...I think we missed a turn" he struggled to his feet, eyes darting around looking for anypony who might have seen him trip. 

"Sounds pretty secluded," Star Rain commented. She jerked her head in Dusk's direction when he tripped. "Dusk! You ok?" she asked, relieved it isn't serious. She looked up and saw the plants ahead. Then she spun around and saw that they had somehow wandered off the trail. There was only one way out of this that she knew of- and she wasn't going to enjoy it. "Dusk, prepare yourself. I'm going to teleport us to the entrance!" she called out, horn glowing cyan.
