What should I get at hot topic next time I go?

Hi everyone

 

This weekend I went to hot topic and bought the Derpy and rainbow dash collectable figures along with the brony bracelet and the heros t-shirt (with all the characters on it).

 

Today I went to a reptile show and got a salmon pink bird eater tarantula, a C. bertae tarantula, two Nhandu chromatus tarantulas, and a chaco golden knee tarantula (I know, completely off topic but I am excited about them )

 

And so with me getting all the said stuff above at hot topic I got two of the $15 hot dollar thingies to use this coming weekend. I will have around $65 + the two $15 hot dollar things to use there and for fun I am wanting to know what you all thinki would be worth me getting

 

I don't think I will be getting all clothes, or any for that matter. I don't like spending a lot of money on clothes. But I did like the jackets, but they are $45.

 

WHat would you all get except for the stuff I said I already got above?

I say wait two months for Fluttershy and Dr. Whooves vinyls!

 

But if you must spend now, I am also personally not interested in clothes. I know they make good conversation starters, but I can't stand when an expensive, beautiful shirt with a tv show/movie on it gets sweaty and faded. When I was at Hot Topic, I remember there being a few small items, such as ear buds, earrings, buttons, nail polish, etc. I've heard that they're selling a comic book series now. Might want to check in on that.

I bought a couple things MLP related for my girlfriend for Christmas.  

 

together they were a combined total of, $32, which I guess isn't all that bad.... ehhh I was just happier when I got the presents in the mail rather than giving up my money.

 

1) Rainbow Dash Headphones (That's the picture I took myself, ignore the messy room... I'm not one to be all that "neat")

 

 

 

2) Rarity Nail Polish, I didn't take a picture of the one I had but basically it's a see-through sparkly overcoat, it's very nice. (:

 

 

Along with that I did not buy but I did see a MLP wallet that looked pretty dapper.

Well, I would wait for the other vinyls to come out but my two $15 thingies are only good for this month and only for a week or two starting this week.

 

My ears aren't pierced and the last time I used ear buds I got a bad head ache (I have chronic daily headaches and migraines so those are probably a no go). If I knew I could use them they had nice big head phones with MLP's all over them Probably the ones MeanBlackHawk is posting above?

 

I may get some buttons if they have them, I didn't notice them the last time

 

They did have some of the comic books. 

 

I can't get any make up or nail polish, my lifes a bit too confusing for that. Parents <_< I could buy them and just set them around my room for no reason though lol

Oh, Hot Cash! Yes, I got some, too. I am personally either planning on getting another vinyl to sell later to make up for my bad buy of a Derpy vinyl on eBay for $50 right before Hot Topic started selling them again (And help me invest in the vinyls in March.). That, or try seeing what kind of blind bags they have there. Honestly all I would get is the over the ear headphones, wallet, and if you're really wanting something original and cool, I would buy a colored hoodie of your favorite pony, sit down and tailor it to match that pony.  This is a picture of my friend that I converted to be a brony.  He's very artistic (I'll post some of his 8bit work [and the official page in case you want to like it] he has been doing along with the hoodie picture) and honestly though I know how to sew myself and if I really wanted to/had the time, I could have made this for myself.  The best thing about it is that it costs so little money to actually do it rather than buying a brand name hoodie.  On top of that, yours will be the only one in existence (you'll have major bragging rights).

I didn't notice any of the blind bags there, which was a let down. I will see if they have any the next time I go this coming week end.

 

I think I may experiment with some ear phones and see if they give me headaches or make my headache worse. If not I may buy the MLP ones.

 

A wallet is a good idea. I have a cat plush one but a MLP one looks pretty cool also...

I may pass on the hoodie idea for now I will wear my shirt with pride but a hoodie would make me feel a bit, out of place or the center of attention more then I am comfortable with .

It's all about how you feel in the end, if the hoodie thing isn't for you don't worry about it.  Some people are more comfortable with more and vice versa.

Alright, just got back. Here is a list of the things I got:

comics #1 and #2 (just got done reading them both, will be getting the third when it comes out when I go to get the new vinyls

2 crystal edition blind bags

 

I think thats all. Lol They didn't have any of the other ponies in the key chains, and they didn't have any of the wallets.

I wish there was Hot Topic in Canada. The last time I was at Hot Topic was when I went down to Portland, ME in the summer. I wasn't even a brony then.

Its not as exciting as going to a physical store. But there is always their web site (if they ship internationally) and then other websites (which you have probably though of already)

The thing is, though it may not be as exciting, you can save a lot of money than going to the actual store in person.  Along with that Hot Topic has online exclusives that you will not be able to buy at a store in person.  In all honesty I like the online shopping more because I like to hold onto my money.

That makes sense due to the S&H fees.  Though if you get vouchers and discounts from online it lessens the cost dramatically.
