(Sorry guys, anime got my attention for too long)

"I'm sorry." said Slimy with sad eyes. "Diamond." he added.

Slimy didn't know what to do so he just went to one of the book stacks and picked a book. It was a short story.

"Mmm.. "A perfect day for banana fish".."

He lay on the carpet and started with reading. 

 

Coco was lying on the grass. She just enjoyed that moment of silence. Her mind was clear for a second.

But then a picture of Slimy got in her mind. "I can't let them wait.."

She stood up and went to her windmill house. It was the same as ever before - Colourful inside, with a lot of nonsencial drawings on the walls, full of books, chemical tubes and clockwork equipment. She opened an old wardrobe and got into searching. In that stack of old aviator clothes and winter coats, she found one fancy dress. She carefully packed it and added some more books. She got out, with tears in her eyes waved goodbye and left the floating island.

Nightfall looked up at Slimy.

"Do you mind if I show you a few more colors? It will show you the difference between two ponies methods of teaching. No two ponies are fully similar."

He sat down near Slimy, but not too close. He had seen Slimy nervous near him before.

shade licked her lips, "prom hm? i dont think i should go anywhere near the prom. uhg, i wish i could go."

 

shade did kind of want to go, but no stallion would want to go with her... and if she went there without a stallion, well... lets just say that she would not be able to resist.

Lila wished Arrow hadn't ditched on her, and hoped that the new colt, Arcane, would at least make a good temporary fix. And she didnt really feel like having another full on relationship either. Lila came back to reality after she realized she had been staring at Shade for a few seconds.

"I know them. Just.. look around." he said. Coco made her room very similar to her own house - behind the stacks of books, there were walls full of colourful, psychedelic pictures.  "I just.. can't name them. I can't see what they mean..." he said, looking to the floor.

"I can't.. feel them.."

But the story he finished in several minutes was too short and sad.

"Okay then.. and.. what do you like so far?" he asked. It was natural to him - after all, Nighfall has asked him before. Why shouldn't he do the same?

After a few minutes, Diamond had finished several rolls. "Hey Slimy...and Nightfall...If you two are hungry I have sushi here." She said, as she began cleaning up the mess she had made. *Funny...I wonder where Coco came up with the idea of feeding Slimy sushi.* She thought.

He paused, looking at himself.

"... Blue. My coat is dark blue. That is my favorite color. And book... it's some kind of fiction- that is to say, it's a fake book. Something that has to do with dragons and a war..."

"The fake Napoleonic War."

Nightfall looked up at Diamond.

"I'm not too hungry yet..."

Lilas ears half way dropped feeling bad for Shade. "Yeah..." was all she said looking down at the floor. Lila wished Arrow hadn't ditched on her, and hoped that the new colt, Arcane, would at least make a good temporary fix. And she didnt really feel like having another full on relationship either. Lila came back to reality after she realized she had been staring at Shade for a few seconds.

Shade raised an eye brow at her...

"You ok? Hello! You've had that look on your face for some time now, and your kind of creeping me out..."

 

Not really as creepy as shade looked, but shade was creeped out.

 

Shade picked up a spell book and opened it untill Lila responded.

"Oh.. okay. I should ask Miss Cocodrillo about that book.. " he watched his dark blue body for a moment. "And doesn't that make you feel like...you're left alone, falling into the night sky?"

He heard Diamond. "Thank you, Miss.. oh, sorry, Diamond. But I'll wait until Mister Nightfall is hungry enough, so we can eat together. And... can I ask you what do you like so far, Diamond?" even without the usage of "miss", he sounded very formal, polite and confused.

Shade raised an eye brow at her...

"You ok? Hello! You've had that look on your face for some time now, and your kind of creeping me out..."

"Its alright, no need to be sorry. And What do you mean what do I like ? I like many things." She said, walking out of the kitchen and sitting down next to Slimy and Nightfall. *Wow...He is a very polite pony...I mean...No. He is a pony.* She thought, giving Slimy a warm smile.

He looked at Slimy weirdly. He hadn't thought his coat color would have a slightly negative feel. He thought maybe it came a little from Coco, which could mean...

"No, I probably shouldn't try to get any of Coco's thoughts from him."

Nightfall laughed.

"And I could eat now, it's just... I didn't want to be wasteful, so to speak."

He didn't understand why Diamond wasn't sure what to answer. He thought it was daily question.. just like "how are you".

"Her smile feels red..."

"Do you like the colour of the lonely fall into the night sky too?" he asked with innocent eyes. He observed both of them for a second. There was something that made them similar to each other and different from Coco.

"They have those horns on their heads and wings... They have something that Miss Cocodrillo doesn't? How is it possible.. I don't understand."

He felt miserable. The more he was getting to know, the less he knew.

 

(Adding informations about Coco because I'm bored and there is no reply for me.)

 

The long flight along with hunger and lack of sleep made Coco tired. She also felt that the snow from the noon started getting into her bones and she was about to get sick. But she didn's slow down. She could see the clouds of snow in the distance. The sun was stroking her back and shining through her mane floating in a wind.

Shade puts down the book and pulls her blanket ontop of her again...

Shades room was now warm thanks to Lila, but even so the winter made her cold and made her tired

 

She picked up her book again and started to read untill she would fall asleep.

Slide jumped off the bed and put his varsity jacket back on. He looked back at Lite,.fully dressed again, knowing how uncomfortable she must feel. He walked up and nuzzled her. "Where to, my lady?" He said like a sir. "After all, it is your first date, I just have the pleasure of going with you."

Lite had thought about this for a good while, but sadly, her mind kept drawing blanks. 

 

"I honestly have no idea where to, Slide... I have an idea though. Surprise me.", she said, as she conjured up a blindfold, and tied it around her head. "This is how it'll be surprising!"

Ever get that feeling that something terrible will happen if something goes wrong? Even just in the slightest? Arcane was feeling similar to this. A case of anxiety you might say. It seemed that whenever something out of the ordinary, Arcane would get a feeling that the world was turning inside out, quite literally. Like the whole universe would just snap in half, and it would be chaos...

 

Its a strange feeling. You know nothing is going to happen, since its impossible. But you can't help but get that feeling something is going to happen.

 

Maybe it was just happening cause Arcane was bored, and was just waiting for something to happen. It felt like waiting for Lila was taking ages.

"Do you like the colour of the lonely fall into the night sky too?" he asked with innocent eyes. He observed both of them for a second. There was something that made them similar to each other and different from Coco.

He felt miserable. The more he was getting to know, the less he knew.

 

"He means blue. A deep blue, like the color of my coat."

He got up and stood next Diamond, then looked at Slimy. He wanted to ask him if he had any more questions about them, because while he seemed like a pony, there wasn't a quite something right about him; not a completely good vibe.

He chuckled a little.

"And yes. Home-made sushi... I've never had sushi, but I've had Diamond's cooking, and she's a good cook, so I'm sure this will be phenomenal."

He smiled, not understanding Slimy's reference or confusion.

Diamond glanced over at Slimy. "Um...Bananafish ? I just put avocado, cucumber, mango, and a little cream cheese in the rolls." She said, searching around Coco's cupboards for some plates. She placed the plates on the table then looked through Coco's fridge for some Soy Sauce...and maybe pickled ginger.

Slimy was just staring at... Well, Nightfall considered it nothing, but maybe Slimy could see things he couldn't.

"Coco should be back soon."

He got up and moved towards Diamond.

"Right? She should be back really soon... Suppose this storm keeps her from coming back; what then? Should we go find her if she isn't back in an hour?"

He kept his voice low so Slimy wouldn't hear and get concerned.

"I'm sure she'll be back soon." She said, giving up on looking for some ginger. She sat down across from Slimy and ate a piece of sushi. "Well...these didn't turn out as well as I would have hoped...but I suppose they're not that bad." She said, pouring a little soy sauce onto her plate.

(okay so that story is about a guy who realises his life has no meaning so in the end he kills himself. = a very brief review)

"I know. There's also the sun behind the dark cloud." he said, without changing the direction. "But also.. the feelings are more than just words..."

(I'll just pretend they already have sushi on their plates)

Slimy looked at his plate. He carefully tasted the sushi. "It's very good. Thank you, Diamond."

 

Coco fell to the pile of snow. She way lying there for a second, shocked. It's been a long time since she fell down while flying... She knew exactly when it was. She'd woken up in a hospital looking totally different and having a cutie mark that day.

She decided to finish her journey by hooves. It wasn't a long distance, after all.. She finally reached the university gate and tried to run inside.

She made the whole hall wet with melting snow. It felt weird, knocking on her own doors... but she did it.
