Almost all the colour drained from Arcane's face when he heard what Arrow Head said. "Oh...... Lila... why didn't you tell me? I could have avoided this whole thing..." Arcane sighed and shook his head. "Look, Lila. If there is nothing between us, then I don't want anything to be between us..." he said sadly as he started to walk back to his dorm.

Lila was now in utter shock at what Arcane said. She stood up now angry at him. "Oh, really? You dont want anything between us? Is that why you just kissed me? What are you playing some sort of sick game? And yes I do have a colt friend but i didnt see you like that, so dont go running off saying you dont want anything between us because thats a load of..." she stopped herself there not wanting to go on and on. She took the brief moment to try and calm herself as best she could before talking again. "Dont ever talk to me again." With that she went and sat back down over by where Arrow was, not bothering to look at him.

Arcane couldn't believe what she had just said. He was instantly filled with pure rage. He turned back towards Lila and stared her down. "Fine, you want the truth eh? FINE. I DO want to be with you Lila, but if you already have a coltfriend THEN IS THERE EVEN A BUCKING POINT IN TRYING? YOU ARE THE ONE PLAYING THE SICK GAMES, LETTING ME JUST DO THAT WITHOUT EVEN INFORMING ME OF YOUR STUPID BUCKING DOLTFRIEND. IN FACT, IF THERE WEREN'T ANY LAWS ABOUT MURDER, HIS FACE WOULD'NT EVEN EXIST ON EQUESTRIA ANYMORE, AND MAYBE EVEN YOURS ALONG WI-"

 

Arcane was cut off by his own sudden transportation. He wasn't where he was before. "-TH IT..." he ended awkwardly. He was in his room, with none other than Celestia; or at least the image of her looming over him. She looked at him, and simply shook her head. She then transported away, but not before saying; "This isn't the Arcane I remember..."

 

Arcane sighed and sat there... the rage inside him died down rather fast once he saw Celestia... He knew what he could have; and probably would have done to them, and he would have regretted it. It was a good thing he was stopped before he could.

 

(Whew-ey, Drama much?)

Arrow was dumbstrucked. *The buck was that?* He thought as he looks at Lila. "Lila? Why didn't you tell him that you were already taken?" He asked. *Make it worst... Good job!* He wanted to punch himself for asking that question after what just happened. That question could've held off for a bit!

Lila freaked out on the inside by Arcane's sudden out burst, but kept a calm and stern face on the outside. She cut out everything he said up to the point where he just up and disappeared. *That was strange...* she thought to herself. She then turned to Arrow to answer his question. "Well first off, he didnt act like he was interested in me. If i knew he was i would've said. Second, i thought it was completely irrelevant at the time since i just thought of him as a friend. And i assumed that's what he thought too, Alright? I didnt think he was going to randomly kiss me and admit his feelings to me. You kn- why am i talking to you anyways? You're not helping in anyway and im over all just mad at you. Im mad at Arcane, And im mad at myself. Hell, im mad at Diamond for making me want to come to this stupid thing!" Lila said matter-of-fact. "Im going to my door, dont bother comeing unless you want to be yelled at for a few hours." with that Lila got up and began to trot bag to Prancer hall.

As Lila left Arrow couldn't help but think of the stallions switch in tone. If he was there a second more, Arrow would've given the story 'Cupcakes' a whole new meaning. *If I see him again, I swear to celestia's grave that I'll..* He stops himself from thinking anything else that would've been bad. "I just don't need to see him for a while." He sits and watches other ponies dance and have fun. But... Lila, how was he suppose to help her? Should he comfort? He didn't know. *I'll just leave her be for a bit.*

Rambler saw Star walking towards them, and his first instinct was to give his usual suspicious glare, but he didn't want to upset Cascade, especially not tonight. He smiled and tried his best to act friendly.

After a short walk back to her dorm room, Lila had calmed down some. It gave her time to think and replay the whole thing over in her head and see just how she could have avoided all of this. Sure she agreed to go to prom with Arcane, but it didnt mean she liked him like that. And yes she did kind of start developing feelings but she wouldn't just throw Arrow under the bus like that and plus Arcane wasn't giving any signs of even remotely liking her. So whos fault is it to blame? Probably hers, but she didnt want to go throw figuring that part out at the moment. Instead she laid on the bed curled up into a tight ball to keep herself warm and fell to sleep. Sleep things off, the best plan she had so far.

Diamond nodded and trotted over to Coco, assuming Nightfall was following. "Hey Coco. You look beautiful." She said, smiling at Coco. "We're happy you showed up, I was kinda worried you wouldn't come...Wanna come dance ?" She asked, her smile widening slightly.

Coco heard a familiar voice. She looked around to see it was Diamond.

"Hello. Um.. thank you."

"I'm glad to hear these words -  for the first and the last time.."

Coco looked at the dancefloor. It wasn't full, but still not crowded enough for her to join.

"I would love to.. maybe later." she said. "I have to pick up Slimy and take him there.." she added.

Coco heard a familiar voice. She looked around to see it was Diamond.

"Hello. Um.. thank you."

"I would love to.. maybe later." she said. "I have to pick up Slimy and take him there.." she added.

Now bored from watching the same dancing ponies, Arrow gets up and walks back to his dorm. As he walks in, he takes his clothes of, tales a long shower than anticipated, and hops onto his bed. He didn't think he could sleep after what happened, and just looked up at the ceiling and waited for him self to sleep.

Cascade chuckled, and waved her right hoof slightly at him, the ring glinting on it. "If it were a marriage band, it'd be on my other hoof, wouldn't it?" All the same though, her smile seemed to glow more radiantly than it usually did. Was it the ring, or the idea of prom that was making her glow?

 

"Right...  yes, that's true. Silly me." He seemed to take a brief sigh of relief while he regained his cool. "So anyway, I wont keep you here. Go have fun." Star decided now may be the best time to simply slip away and leave them be. It was not three seconds afterwards that he immanently regretted his choice.

 

'Bugger, this is harder than I though. The good news is that at least they aren't married. That's okay I guess.'

She led him to Diamond and Nightfall. Slimy was looking around with excitement and confusion. He looked like a normal colt, just a little bit smoother, a little bit dripping, and... gauzy, of course. Coco took a seat.

"Sit down, Slimy." he seemed totally confused.

"Good evening, Diamond and Nightfall." he said as soon as he realised that hey're here.

Then...a new song started to play. "Ok, i'm dancing to this one." She jumped to her hooves and smiled. "And you guys have to come. This song is perfect." She said, her smile widening slightly.
