Alright, so.

 

This game isn't quite like the other. Votes are NOT private. They are part of the metagame and can give players a valuable clue where one is needed. Beyond that, players do have the option of NLing. Not sure if that's available in the other game or not. This game will force you to be very careful and to read into everything. Anyways, all of that aside. I'll go ahead and get the story started. You guys will begin voting when I've posted it. Good luck.

 

 

Deep within the Everfree forest, there lay a little village. It was entirely deserted for centuries, and no one really knew what to think of it, so they pretended it didn't exist. Only a select few understood its true purpose, for they had been there before.

One morning the village found itself inhabited by many strange ponies, most of whom were likely not aware of how they'd even gotten there. After all, who would suspect that in their sleep, a wolf had snuck into each of their rooms, and teleported them here through his dark magic.

The ten ponies would all wake up on their own, in their own home, and with no recollection of anything that'd happened within the last month. They would come outside to see if anyone was around to ask them what happened, but to their dismay, the only creature that wasn't asking any questions was a little black wolf in the center of the village.

He made no move as they drew close to have a look at this mysterious creature, but no one here knew how to speak to a wolf, so they were all just as clueless as before.

 

Someone stepped forward to try and say something, but the wolf inched away. They stepped closer and he inched away again, baring his teeth for a split second.

This didn't go over well with the ponies as they began arguing about the strange creature before them. Dash blast stepped back, away from the crowd. "N-n-no! D-don't get any closer. There's no telling what kind of diseases that thing might have!"

EM002 and LawfulChaotic were quick to nod their agreement with the first pony's statement. Rfali, on the other hand stepped towards the wolf, curious to its shape. He started thinking out loud, "It's kinda shaped like a timberwolf, but... it's all flesh and fur. I really doubt it means any harm, if it's just like the rest of us."

The argument started to ring out loudly as the wolf's ears fell back and his tail became tucked. All this attention was making him very nervous, and the result was as natural as one could expect: retaliation.

The wolf got up on all fours and barked angrily at the crowd. He immediately leaped at the nearest pony to him and bit into their hoof. He scratched another one, and attacked quite a few others before running off into the Everfree Forest to find a hiding place.

None of the ponies seemed to know what had just happened, but they all decided to carry out the day as if nothing was wrong. However, something was wrong. Something was very wrong, indeed, and it wouldn't be until morning that the ponies would know about it.

Lemon awoke in the middle of the night to a knock on the door. Who would be bothering him at 3AM? He pressed an ear to the door carefully, but couldn't hear anything else. So, out of curiousity, he opened it.

There, on the doorstep, was a very rough-looking pony who seemed to be in a lot of pain, as if their skeletal structure was changing entirely. Lemon freaked out and shut the door, immediately barring it and blocking of the windows. He wasn't sure what that was, but he was very sure he didn't want anything to do with it.

Strangely enough, despite Lemon spending the entire night in fear, the strange werewolf-type creature didn't make any more attempts to get in. The next morning, there was no evidence of the wolf ever having been there, but paranoia was running through the whole town. No one knows what happened, and no one was sure what to think, but they were very sure something had to be done.

It was time to take a vote: Who was everyone most afraid of?

(Please note that the story is just a story and the characters chosen for the actions have no bearing on who is what. Feel free to discuss your actions, but the vote is public, so keep that in mind.)

Alright everypony...it's the first day.  And if you ever played mafia you know what that means.

 

If we have a cop, don't claim. Seriously. I think we have four blues now, so I highly suggest they don't claim either. Then they'd know who the pow roles are, so other pow roles don't claim.

 

Cop do me a favor and investigate somepony of your choosing. If you got an inno, don't say so, if you got a guilty tell us so the lynching can begin. Actually, what do you guys think, cop claim or not? We got a doc so the cop is...er....safe be we don't wanna take any chances.

 

So until then, i'm gonna abstain. If we get a guilty then lol time to lynch. If we get two conflicting cops...*shudder* then we'll be forced to lynch ONE. 0.0

 

And like always the wolves are either gonna claim the juicy parts like the cop. Also, if anypony has a gun, DON'T YOU DARE SHOOT. Unless we have a lead. And it looks like the lynch ain't working or we got two conflicting cops.

 

Until we get more info i'm gonna no vote. And I suggest you do that too. Sometimes a mafias actions reveals itself....who knows I secretly may be maf. If you don't know how to play against these guys then I highly suggest reading the epicmafia guide. It's detailed and we can win...though 51% of the time mafia wins.

 

SO LET'S GET THIS SHOW ON THE ROAD. though should cop claim or no? Should we start claiming? I'm bad at claiming when maf, and somepony always seems to counter-claim me EVERY GAME.

 

So mafia...i'd appreciate it if you don't counter claim me when the time comes. Or you try to claim what I claim. Though that's a no-go.

 

I think cop shouldn't claim [yet] unless if guilty. And...did we just get a doc save?

Glad to hear somebody's got a plan, more or less. Day 1 always needs someone to push discussion along, even if it's not directly related to who's guilty.

 

On the other hand, the one that speaks up is often the first target. Proud to serve with you Shift.

I learned from maf that if you speak up first you'll normally get lynched but then they learn to regret it later. Somepony had to make the first post.

It appears that all of the members are ignoring the question, including myself!  Could this be telling the crafty Shift something we don't know?  Is Shift merely trying to shift the focus off of himself, especially since he, too, has provided no answer to his own question?  Only time will tell!

 

EDIT: Heh, heh... Shift shifting the focus.  I didn't even realize that until just now.

You may roleplay as you choose or see fit, but the intent of D1 is to see if anything can be rooted out, or just to skip it entirely and pass into the night.

>w< This is the same problem that happened in my last forum. Too many people just stopped playing, and the game fell apart. The difference is that it didn't happen there until 15-or-so games in, when it was getting to be the same players every game with the same strategies. I really hope the whole thing doesn't fall apart. I hate having to kick players. Anyways, I'll set a deadline for the 1st of Feb. I won't kick people for not posting, yet.
