She simply nodded in acknowledgement of his talents. "I may yet stand corrected" she smiled - a rather warm smile, for somepony so cold. After listening to Norths speech on two to a room, she grew anxious. She would much prefer a room to herself, but she felt sorry for whoever she shared with. "If you're going to be bunking up with me, you better enjoy the cold" she spoke aloud, but to herself. She then gave Aqua a nudge, "you willing to put your muscles to the test?" She asked with a rather serious, yet entertaining look in her eyes.

Démence looked around at the other ponies. He wasn't overly excited about bunking with one. He decided that if one got too annoying, he would just throw them overboard. Now, who to choose. The leader, The ice pony, The freak, The earth pony, The blind pony, The female unicorn, The orange pegasus or circuit cutiemarked pony.

"Hello, I'm afraid we haven't had a chance to meet yet. I've heard talk that you're our leader on this expedition." Unholy said with a know.

"yeah sure why not" Aqua was not to fused about sleeping in the cold as he has to a lot for he does not own a home, he is constantly moving and the years of being brought up on a farm working in all weathers should help out a little to. "if you dont mind me coming to bed late for i wish to practice one more time on deck when everyone is asleep before tomorrow" He mentioned.

"Of course not sugarplum" she joked, flicking him on the nose with her tail as she skipped aboard the ship.

Some fantastic first impressions there she thought to herself as she sat in the corner alone. You can't keep this act up forever you know, she thought as she tried to convince herself she wasn't afraid of the coming journey.

Aqua walked over to the front of the ship and sat down staring into the sea, not thinking not anything just sat watching the mesmerising waves in total relaxation, waiting for everypony to sort them self's out. He put his hoof in his satchel bag and pulled out some oat's, had a quick bite to eat then relaxed again.

"I? I'm North Arrow." North gazed into the blank, staring eyes. He hadn't thought to make any braille copies of the book. He hadn't thought that Celestia would think to send a blind pony... But if she had been chosen, she was surely more than meets the eye... forgive the pun. "It's a pleasure to meet you, Unholy." He extended a hoof to shake out of habit, but seemed to think better of it, and withdrew.

(OOC: Sorry I was gone for a long time. I was studying, napping, and reading alot.)

 

After about two hours or more of studying, Star Rain closed her jungle guide and levitated it into the side of her saddlebags that held her books. She then followed everypony out to the boat and quickly chose a room that wasn't occupied by anypony yet. She wasn't comfortable with sharing a room with anypony. She simply threw her saddlebags onto the bed in her chosen room, and stepped out onto the starboard side of the ship. She had never seen the ocean up close, only in pictures that were either black-and-white sketches or colored drawings and paintings like the ones she made and other artists better than her made. It was exhilarating to finally see it for the very first- and possibly last- time. Whether she got out of the forest alive or met a terrible fate, at least she was finally free.

"Oh? are you worried about the book? Celestia made me a copy, so i still know about these strange creatures." She said with a smirk, flipping through the pages.

She ran her hoof across a page.

"Well... thats interesting..." She murmured.

"Do you think we'll run into all of these creatures in this book?" she asked.

North held up his hooves, as if saying "Wasn't me", but again realising the ineffectiveness of this gesture, relaxed. "Well, I certainly hope we don't. Some of those creatures are actually far nastier than they're described. The Jungle... The book doesn't say it, but... It's like it's conscious... It's like it's organised, and actively trying to keep anypony from getting very far inside..."

After a while quietly contemplating the journey ahead, and mentally conditioning herself for whatever may be in the jungle, Frostbite decided it was time to go up top. She threw on her game face again, and trotted up to the deck. She noticed there where already a few ponies up here, not wanting to disturb anypony, she took a spot that was facing inland, where she happened to be facing North Arrow and Unholy Sight conversing. They where too far away to hear, but it was good to see some ponies on this trip who didn't act like they wanted to kill each other.

"Well it sounds like everypony is going to need to watch their hooves out there. We'll all need to watch where we're stepping and keep our ears, and for the rest of you, and eyes open." Unholy said as she placed her book back in he saddle bag.

Démence stepped onto the ship. It wasn't exactly what he was expecting. Not that it mattered. It would be a shame for blood to fall on a floor of a cruise ship. Not that he planned on killing anypony without a reason. But he thought that he would find a reason. Still thinking about who to bunk with, he tested a plank of wood. Not very sturdy. Perfect for an 'accident'. Other then that, the ship was in pretty good condition. Finally, he decided that somepony could choose to bunk with him, and he sat down on the deck.

North nodded. She had a good idea of true scope of the dangers the Jungle posed, unlike most of the other ponies here. But her second comment caught him slightly off guard. That sounded almost... Like an offer. Huh. "Well, I figured I'd wait and see if anypony else needed one," he said, almost lamely.

Slicer trotted too a random room and placed his bag on the ground. As usual, He kept his Hook Swords and Whip with him as he trotted back out onto the deck of the ship. He grinned, Looking out at the ocean. *This...Is going to be a real adventure.* He thought, Trotting up to the bow of the ship.

"I wish i could say the same, but we never know what is going to happen in this jungle, we can only hope to survive, but dont worry i am sure if we do work together, only then will we have a chance at surviving". Aqua put a smile back on his face to reassure him that it will be ok.

Frostbite moved slowly along the rails of the ship, admiring the civilization while she still could. She eventually turned to see Aqua and Leaf holding a conversation. Taking her opportunity, she threw yet another snowball at him from behind, hitting him on the shoulder. "Hey!" She shouted, quite happily this time. She trotted over to where they where both at "so what's all the conversation about then?"

"Seems like a good plan. I doubt anypony is going to want to bunk with me." Unholy murmured.

She went back to looking through her saddle bag.

Okay Unholy, seems that most of these ponies are nice enough. now lets see if you have... oh no!

"Ummm... I think I dropped something... I can't seem to find it..." Unholy was getting extremely worried.

While he was going to turn around to talk to Frostbite, he noticed that Unholy was franticly moving around and looked like she was in need of assistance he left Leaf and Frostbite to talk and rushed to Unholy. "Hey Unholy its Aqua from earlier you seem to bee in a state could i offer you some help ?" He said very politely to Unholy. If there is something that Aqua can help with then he tends to do it, but he is not stupid and will not fall into other people games or be used.

Unholy ran her hooves across the deck.

"I... i lost something dear to me... my father's silver bell anklet... its small, but its something very special." she said with a frantic look on her face. she kept moving her hooves across the deck and her front hoof bumped into North.

"oh, sorry..." She murmured, and continued crawling across the deck, looking for the anklet.

North had been about to say that he wouldn't mind bunking with her when Unholy started crawling around, flipping over the loss of some personal treasure. She bumped into him, but he didn't mind. On the contrary, he decided to help look. "It's around here somewhere..." North said confidently as he knelt, looking around the floor of the deck. He didn't really know what to say to calm Unholy down, so he opted to search in silence. For the moment.

 

((Need to get some sleep soon. Early morning tomorrow. As usual.))
