Démence forced his eyes open. "Ugghhhh. What happened?" He looked down to see the patterns that the vines had imprinted into his sides. "Did we win?" He was still struggling to stay awake, due to the loss of blood. Looking around, he saw that the two stumps were defeated, one was in splinters, the other lying on the ground. "How long have I been out?" He asked weakly.

Slicer gave North a crazed smile as he slowly started to wake up. "Good afternoon sunshine." He said, His smile widening slightly. "Try to take it easy...You were kinda knocked unconscious. But its all good now, No pony was killed...I mean...We do have some ponies with some cuts and stuff but its nothing that wont heal." He said, In his usual cheery voice.

"Is he alright?" Frostbite asked when she saw North was awake. She hopped off the log and her hind legs immediately gave way when she landed, and she collapsed into a heap on the floor. "Ooohh this is bad" she managed to climb her way back onto the log Slicer had placed her on "How is he? And how's Démence?" she wasn't really asking anypony in particular, more just expressing her concern.

"I'm ok! I think." Démence struggled to raise his hoof to signify he was there. He was lying, of course. Realizing his hoof was covered in his own blood, he quickly lowered it. He was unable to do anything but lie there. Lie in a pool of his own blood. How useless he felt. And this was only the first encounter. What would become of him overtime. Nothing. He already knew he wouldn't be returning from this adventure. The least he could do is help.

Frostbite actually felt kind of sorry for him, despite their earlier conflicts. She knew there was nothing she could do directly, she couldn't even move thanks to her legs, but she felt she had to at least try and do something. She at least sought to make him comfy until he could be attended to properly, and with this, she levitated a nearby log over to him and placed it close by. "Glad to see you're still kicking" she said as she froze a patch over his side. "Should hopefully numb the pain for you" she smiled.

"Thanks." Démence pulled himself onto the log. "Also, I'm sorry about earlier. It was uncalled for and rude on my part." He thought back to when they were fighting. He was being foalish. He was always being foalish. He wanted to apologize somehow. He took off one of his bracelets and threw it to the ice blue mare. "You can keep it if you want."

She grabbed it with her levitation in mid air and stared for a second, before placing it in her pack. "Thanks, and don't worry about it, i'm always jumping to conclusions myself, I didn't exactly help." she replied with a hint of sadness in her voice, like she felt like she'd betrayed the group before they even started. "Anyways, we can't sit here talking, we need to move" she spoke once more with that confident tone that she originally associated with herself as she tried easing to the floor, but she knew she couldn't do it, and pulled back on the log "easier said than done..." she mumbled.

Aqua watched realising he could not do anything, since he did not have magic. So he stood and assessed the situation very carefully and thought to him self what could he possibly do, he knew about some herbs but only ones that grew around his farm, he did not know of any or he could not see any that grew in this demented jungle. He then bagan to think and remembered on one of his previous adventures he hurt his hoof/ankle badly, he made a simple support, simply enabling him to walk by forcing all the pressure to be on the top half of his leg just out of rope and some strong flexible (to an extent) branches.

 He bagan immediately looking for these branches, pulling some of the rope out of his satchel. He found the correct amount of branches and went strait over to Frostbite and said "this may hurt, i am making two supports for your ankles so that it will be easier for you to maneuver until it gets healed" taking some of the sterile moss off of Leaf and taking out the antiseptic ointment from him satchel, applied it all to the wounds on Frostbites ankles wiping away the gunk with the moss. When it was as good as he could get it he got his water canteen and washed over the wounds. put some more moss around the wound and strapped the supports to her ankles "that should do it, sorry if any of that hurt but it should do you until you can get it fixed properly, just remember to change the moss later on ok" he said with a reassuring voice.

She winced a few times during the procedure, but nothing worse than what she had already been through. She tested out the supports when they where finished, and they worked surprisingly well, as long as she didn't try to run in them. "Hey, thanks for that" she said shyly, with a somewhat sorrowful tone. She put a hoof on his shoulder, "And i'm...sorry about earlier. You're not too bad, for an Earth pony." She winked.

Démence got on his hooves. It was less painful then expected, mainly because of the fact that his side was completely numb. It limited his movement, but it worked. He saw another pony helping out Frostbite, and smiled. This adventure was already changing him on the second day. But was it a good thing? He didn't want to think about it now. He saw North and his smile disappeared. What had happened when he was knocked out cold? He walked over to the leader. "So... What happened while I was on the ground?" He asked.

"No problem Frostbite even if we were enemies i would still help you, and for a second there i thought i would be carrying you, unicorn" Aqua managed to pull a quick smile before he remembered about Démence, he looked round quickly and saw a zebra withe more red on him than white. He rushed over to the zebra to see if he could do anything. Aqua examined the cuts across Démence's body, already having his cleaning equipment out he did the best he could to clean the cuts out. Then he got some more rope out and fastened it around his body to hold close the wounds. "i am sorry thats the best i can do" Aqua said in a unhappy sounding voice feeling sorry for the zebra and unable to help him anymore.

Frostbite chuckled at Aqua's retort, and slowly walked over to Démence, being careful with her new supports. "Looks like they work" she said, rather relieved. "Still though, I don't know how long they'll last, and that wound isn't going to get any better." She gave Démence a worried look, and glanced at his injuries. "Are you going to be alright? We can't have you dying on us now" she said as she iced over the patching Aqua had done.

"It should last long enough for you to be at least able to walk when it comes off, but not far before you will need to rest, if you can get it seen to then it should be better" ​Aqua said to frostbite reassuringly then he looked back at démence and said to them both "no one is going to die, we can get through this" hoping that his words would bring comfort to them both.

Star Rain sensed the two were awake, so she stopped casting her spell. "Nice to see you two awake," she said after a couple minutes of regaining her footing. She noticed some moss next to her and assumed that it was Leaf who had brought them here. She soaked them into the two orbs of water she had spawned and then squeezed out the water thoroughly. "Here. take these and apply them to your bleeding wounds. It'll soak the blood up," she said, levitating the damp moss over to North and Demence.

She smiled at Aqua's words, and gave Démence a gentle nudge "I should heal by morning, provided I get sufficient rest and temperature tonight, and i'm sure you can walk that off Démence." she glanced at the rest of the group with a somewhat unsure look "I'm just..." she cut herself off and started hoofing at the ground.

Aqua then went over to north who was looking dazed and said "we need to move, we can't be here we need to find a place to rest for the night".

North felt his head. There was a trickle of blood running down it-but he'd be fine.He stood up shakily, taking the moss and applying it to his head, and made his way, shakily, over to Frostbite. He rummaged through his saddlebag and pulled out a small tub of a smelly ointment, and handing it to the unicorn, said, "I'm no herbalist, but I've picked up a thing or two over my travels. Put this on any cuts that were... submerged." He sat down to hide the fact that he was still slightly unsteady on his hooves.

"Thanks, i'll get on that" she said, levitating the ointment from North. She sat down herself, and began applying the ointment behind the moss. "How are you feeling?" she asked as she finished with the applicant, levitating it back to him. "You know..." she started, looking once more at the rabble of injured and frantic ponies "...another one of those and I can see us all going down. We're in bad enough shape as it is" she whispered, darting her eyes around the jungle.

"Oh, I'm fine," North said airily, confidently. "And don't worry," he said, suddenly serious. "The first encounter is always the worst. Nopony's going to underestimate the Jungle again. And if we stay here tonight, everypony should be in condition to move again tomorrow." North looked up at the leafy canopy again, slightly disappointedly. He knew that their best bet was staying still for a while, even if it was still midday. He couldn't tell.

Frostbite smiled at the thought of staying around here, but at the same time she was nervous. The jungle had already struck once, now it knew they where there, and they had angered it. "Well...if we're stopping here tonight..." she looked a little nervously at North, and then cast a glance over her shoulder at the other ponies, before whispering to North "I'm not going to be able to recover in this heat, I need sub-zero temperatures to speed up my recovery...but I don't want to freeze everypony else."  

 

((OOC: I think we should discuss in the OOC forum. It has potential to work, I think it just needs a bit of tweaking, and maybe a second system to back it up. Nopony is going to die if we leave it up to ourselves - not that I WANT anypony to die, but you know))

Unholy went to join the other ponies, while doing so she tripped over a vine and landed flat on her face.

She quickly got up and brushed herself off, hoping nopony saw her trip.

She kicked the vine out of the way with frustration, then trotted over to the group.

I sure hope nopony saw that.... She thought to herself.

"Thankyou." He said to the purple stallion "And don't worry, any help at this point is needed." He turned to Frostbite "Don't worry about me. I should be fine. I've had worst." Which was true. He had had some pretty rough times. He saw a piece of moss float over to him and heard what Star had said. He did as she said and washed the blood. "Thanks."

North grinned. "Why didn't you just say so?" He wiggled his tail, and a faint pinkish line emitted from it, as well as a few snowflakes that melted before they hit the ground. "I'm generally inclined to the cold, too. And we can keep the cold contained in my tent, I mean, if you'd like to." He gestured at his saddlebag, where his tent surely was hiding.

Slicer sat quietly, A little annoyed that North had just ignored him. "So...Are we going to set up camp right here ?" He asked, Looking down at the ground. *That was some fight wasn't it, Slicer.* *Yes...I suppose it was...But you didn't let me do anything...You just took over. I'm a little angry at you, Remember which one of us is in control...Me.* *Yea yea...I knoooow.* *You're up to something.* He thought.
