((Hey, guys, let's just all ignore the fact that I requested we take a brief break from this RP in the OOC, since I simply don't have time to DM anything at the moment. Sound cool? Good.))

 

North looked at Slicer, mildly. He seemed on-edge, but North wasn't concerned. Most of the group might be slightly wounded, but North honestly thought that they stood a better chance today, seeing as how everypony was taking the jungle seriously now, and since the Yateveo were among the deadliest of the foul demons inhabiting this place, they stood a good chance of being able to take most anything else. "Don't worry, I'll be fine," he murmured to Frostbite before speaking to Slicer. "I'd be happy to set off now. Of course, assuming everypony is ready." His strong bass voice rung through the clearing. Everypony heard what was basically a summons.

Star Rain walked up to North Arrow, but winced when she felt more pain running through her from her sore wounds. She gritted her teeth and said, "Yeah, I'm ready..." Her expression and her tone said otherwise though.

Frostbite walked noticed Star was hurting, and it seemed bad - "Hey...you going to be alright? Anything I can do to help?" She asked concerned. "Can't have you limping around now can we?" 

 

(OOC: OK, I really want to see this through to the end as much as the next guy, but i'm conflicted as to wether to actually post or not)

(OOC: Guys...Descant just asked if we could put it on hold. its not over, We're just taking a break.)

 

Slicer stood around, waiting for the rest of the group. *Ugh, Let's go already.* He thought, shifting his weight from one hoof to another. *Seriously...What happened yesterday is probably nothing compared to what we will have to face.* He thought.

((Thanks, FD, but these since these guys insist, I see no reason for my personal life to inconvenience anybody by obstructing delaying the progress of this RP.))

 

North gazed at Star Rain intently for several moments, taking in the pained look she was trying to hide.

"Yeah, I'm ready..."

"No, you're not," He responded firmly. "We go that way," he said, flicking his tail in the direction opposite the Yateveo trees. "Go ahead, you lot. I'll catch up in a moment." He calmly crouched down, lowering his large form as close to the ground as possible. "You look like walking pains you." He looked directly at the petite unicorn. "Climb on my back, and we can be off. I'll carry you."

Slicer laughed. "North...You seem to forget that you were badly injured yourself." Slicer leaned down in from of Star and gestured for her to get on. "Now, Lets get the buck outta of here." He said. *Aw look at you being so nice to the little pony.* *I may be evil...But that wont stop me from being good.* *...What ?*

At that moment, Star Rain remembered one of her pain reliever spells. It wouldn't make scars disappear, but it would take pain away. "Yeah, I can probaly heal myself just fine," she said, who would rather perform the world's most difficult spell than ride on somepony else. She made her sore areas glow cyan to take the pain away. I just hope he doesn't care about by scars, because they aren't going to be going away!

Frostbite took a deep, icy breath. 'And I thought I was cold' she thought, as she walked in the direction North pointed. 

'I have no idea where i'm going...' she thought, giggling a little as she did so, before stopping, and waiting a few meters ahead of the group. She sat down and examined her healed injuries while she did so.

North inclined his head, forced to concede that the slightly deranged pony had a point. But, seeing as Star Rain seemed unwilling to ride anypony around, he stood back up, saying, "Well... Come on, then." Without another word, he trotted off in the direction he had indicated, soon trotting alongside Frostbite near the front of the pack.

Now free of pain(but still retaining the scars), Star Rain trotted after North Arrow and took a position at the rear of the group because she felt her shield spells could come in use if they were attacked from behind. She kept glancing back in case a plant or an animal decided to attack. She wiped sweat from her forehead and pressed on.

Slicer shrugged and spread his wings. he flew next to the group as they walked deeper into the jungle. *I spy something that is.* *Green ? its that vine over there.* *That's the one problem about shearing a mind with somepony else.* *Actually...Its one of many problems.* He thought.

Frostbite hopped up as North passed her, and then Slicer. She looked at where she had been walking before 'No iceprints...how odd' she thought. "Um, North? What exactly do we know about this jungle? I think there may be something else that we don't know of working against us" She asked concerned.

As Aqua watched all the commotion unfold, and as the group set off he realized they left somponies behind. Aqua rushed to the ponies and said "the group has set off come on hurry, we can catch them up if you come now", then realized that they had left one blind pony, and one pony with the most injuries behind, "will any of you two need assistance to catch the group up?" he asked.

"Alright, let's continue..." Leaf said, as he began to move forward towards the path that North indicated. "There could probably be more of those tree things there... Or something even more dangerous than the trees..." he thought

Unholy turned toward Aqua.

"I'm a little tired..." She muttered, half awake.

"Can I lean against you for support?" Unholy asked, looking a little under the weather.

I haven't felt this miserable in forever... maybe its just the humidity... Unholy thought as she shook her head, she got a little unbalanced and almost fell over.

Aqua responded to Unholy almost falling over when she shook her head, by putting his foreleg around her body to hold her up in case she fell over "sure you can lean on me, are you ok by the way?" Aqua asked. He got out his canteen and offered some to Unholy.

"No... I'm fine... I just feel a little sick, thats all..." Unholy said as she leaned against Aqua.

She groaned a bit, but managed up a "thank you" Towards Aqua's help.

UGH... maybe I shouldn't have eaten that plant... but I was so hungry... UGH... Unholy thought, look like she was about to throw up.

North chuckled softly. "Sounds like you've got about as good an idea of this place as anypony," he said. "It does seem rather dark, rather..." He paused, searching for a word. "organised, even, doesn't it?" He trotted along, ignoring the pack of monkeys that were swinging above their heads as they trotted along, weaving between thick-trunked trees, which had started growing noticably closer together by now.

"Not just that...it's...something else. But it's not important right now" she lied, hoping nopony would notice her lack of radiance this morning. She also noticed the trees getting thicker and more cramped, despite having plenty of room around her, she couldn't help but feel...claustrophobic.

Aqua put his canteen back in his satchel and carried on to support Unholy, "we should make a move to catch the rest of the group up, but if you are not feeling well then we can stay, and i will protect you as best as i can", Aqua said trying as best as he could to comfort her.

"We should catch up to the other ponies... I'll be fine..." Unholy muttered, pushing herself to go forward.

"When did they leave us?" Unholy asked, wondering when the ponies had left the two zebras behind.

Gosh... they just left us behind like we were nothing... maybe I shouldn't have come... Unholy pondered.

"Good, then lets get going we should be able to catch them up in no time, and they left only about twenty mins ago but if you follow my lead, and keep up with me we will be there in no time" Aqua explained. He looked to the route that the group had taken, Aqua was ready to make a quick dash to catch them up, because no pony would want to be left in this jungle on there own.

((Time to get this running again, guys! Sorry it took so long!))

 

Seemingly unpeturbed by the lack of space between the trees, North wove back and forth between them, leading the group, ever wary. He paused as they approached fallen tree that lay flat on the ground. The trunk was gigantic. It must be as thick as he was tall! Perhaps even more so.

 

He spread his wings and used them to leap onto the top of the mossy trunk, which seemed slightly slippery. Carefully turning around, he crouched and extended a hoof to Frostbite, who had been walking right behind him, and pulled her up on top of the trunk with him. "Careful now." North performed a quick head count on the ponies who still stood at the bottom of the trunk. It appeared they were all still there, thankfully.

Demence limped over to look at the large fallen tree. "I wouldn't stand on that. What if it's another kind of creature of some sort?" He gestured to his leg. "I'd prefer to not have to deal with that again." This jungle was impossible. That was one thing he had to teach himself in this time. Anything could be a threat. Anything could happen.

Slicer was following behind the group...a little way's away but still within sight. He would occasionally mutter something under his breath and look up at Frostbite but he would always end up looking back down at his hooves. When they reached the tree, he spread his wings, flew to the top and just kept walking...he was quite obviously annoyed or upset about something.
