The only concern I dare to offer

Is that of my heart

 

It is a curious thing

Of sentiments that reign supreme

And of grievances that revolt

 

Such is my heart

And it confuses me so

 

To what purpose does this dreaded thing serve?

I am confounded by the idiocy herein it produces

Of its climactic desires and stressful intent

Of that which my mind cannot comprehend

 

It is an interesting nature that consumes my heart

Or perhaps this is true of all those like me

Of those who let reign supreme their accursed hearts

Dabbling in areas of wanting that are best left as is

 

Surely, I am not alone in my despise of the heart

A curious thing, which strikes a concern
