Fan Fiction Brainstorm Time!

Okay, so it's not as if I don't have any ideas for a fan fiction. Actually I do. But the problem is that I don't know how to get my idea from point A to point B.

 

Long story short, I have a story idea involving two humans appearing in Equestria. Their names are Clarissa and Emile. They are cousins, and both are sort of insecure. Clarissa is insecure in an 8-year-old-teased-for-her-glasses way, and Emile is insecure in a teenager-concerned-about-fitting-in way. I have their characters very well fleshed out, so that's not the problem here.

 

I have no idea how and why they could show up in Equestria. And also, I want a villain that has some nerfarious purpose for them, but I'm having trouble thinking of why a villain might specifically need humans.

 

And if any of you mention the words "Chosen One" I will personally fly through the internet and flick you on the nose. I want very much to avoid cliches.

 

And also, no Grimdark. It can be slightly darker than something that would happen on the show, but only slightly. I want it to have an overall cheerful tone.

 

....So....any ideas? ._.

Yea I got nothing  But I could tell you some things that are WAY too common in those Human in Equestria stories...

 

1. Twilight screws up some incredibly generic teleportation spell

2. The humans die, and Equestria is thier "purgatory" <--- This one I don't have a problem with

 

Eh, thats what comes off the top of my head of what the most common reason for humains in Equestria. As far as a villian though, your guess is as good as mine.

XD Definately not using those.

 

In fact I'll likely steer clear of any "accidental" reasons for them to be in equestria. It'll probably either be the fault of the villain wanting to summon humans for some reason, or the fault of the humans falling in a rabbit hole or something. ...Not a literal rabbit hole of course. That would be stealing. ...Or possibly the ponies want humans in equestria for a specific reason, in which case Celestia brought them on purpose. *shrug*

So basically a villain wants humans in Equestria for something and you need a method of how they wind up in Equestria in a non-accidental manner.

 

Then have said villain abduct them in a manner related to who they are. For example:

 

The two get meets someone and after some time getting to know each other the person asks them to come with him/her somewhere. Only to be lead into a trap were the person and sone others who were there burst into green flames and turn into changelings. They are then bound in a green cocoon and sent to Queen Chrysallis~

 

If its Sombra then while the two were walking at a park/alley, with no other people in sight, a black cloud quickly engulfs them and the next thing they know they are somewhere extremely cold and strangely more colorful than usual.

 

... typing on a phone is hard xp.

Mmm, Interesting concept. However, although you don't like the term "chosen one", you could do it like they did in digimon. -nice day at camp...suddenly...wild tsumani- lol

Well... May be it is a bit cliche, but why they cannt come in equestria mentally?

 

My point, that while these two make some activity, for example skiing, they just hit a tree and lose their conscious. So there is bodies in the hospital back on earth, and two humans in equestria. (Well there is everybody know, that while you in coma, your mind somewhere in equestria )

 

Bad example but i think you got a point.

 

For the purpose of usage is a bit harder, as long as you dont want to make it grim dark (For some reason there is first that come in mind)

May be this vilian can manipulate through this humans, because they get closer to some pony, in which vilian is really interested for some reason?
