So, I bring another question involving Politics, do you like John Stossel?

Who is he? He has his own show called "Stossel" on Fox News and Fox Business, and he is a Libertarian who talks on al sorts of current issues with other contributors.

Me? I feel he is a very smart man, and I watch his show anytime I see it on. Though one may say it is because we share ideals, he is very good at proving his points.

So what do you think?

Stossel is one of the key people that made me become a Libertarian.

He can get under Bill O'Reilly's skin, a very good trait, it's also funny to see. He isn't like other people on Fox News to me, he originally worked with ABC from 1981 to 2009, then joined Fox News and Fox Business.

His current show, if it's on, is worth a watch. It's about the only other news show I might watch, along with Anderson Cooper 360.

I had an American History teacher who would play clips from Stossel's shows from time to time. I like him, he has good ideas and is good at communicating them.

Ever since I've gotten into politics, I'd considered myself a Liberal. Although lately, now that I'm learning about other parties, I'm starting to consider myself a Libertarian. I'll admit, I've never heard of John Stossel. But I'll give him the benefit of the doubt and give his show a watch, although the fact that it's on Fox is already giving me a not-so-good first impression.

I think John Stossel is pretty good. I have watched what I can of his show on YouTube; I don't get cable, so I can't watch his show on a regular basis.

He tends to argue more of the practical side of free markets and libertarianism, i.e., government control and intervention is inefficient, leads to less choice, leads to lower quality, etc. I have seen criticism of his show and his approach by other libertarians, particularly ones that prefer to eschew arguments about efficiency or quality in favor of arguments based solely on moral principles (e.g. government should not do this or that because it is morally wrong and reprehensible to do so). While I do see the point of, and often agree with, the moral and principled arguments against government, I do think there is a good purpose to Stossel's approach. I think many people would be better convinced by his kind of arguments, at least at first, and his kind of arguments can help with figuring out how to get to a more free society from where we are now.

I think Stossel is usually pretty informative and convincing in his arguments. One thing that I like about Stossel is that when he is having an interview or discussion with someone, he will try to point out parts of their argument which they haven't brought up yet, and he will often play devil's advocate and pose common arguments against the guest's position so we can hear what the counterarguments would be. A lot of his segments would be very good to show in the classroom, and I know I would have enjoyed watching him at school.
