White woke up... but where? Her home, she knew. But yet... nothing else. All she could remember was that this used to be her home... before... before something came and destroyed it... but what? She assumed it had to do with something outside...

 

Then, the headache started. Yes, the constant reminder that she had little control over her powers. Another thing that she remembered... yet with all of the... people... coming and going, she could barely get any rest. Which was what she needed in order to keep... something... from happening.

 

She started to panic- but quickly stopped. It was increasing the strain on her brain. What she needed to do now was sleep... which was what she promptly did.

 

When she was asleep tended to be when her powers vented themselves... Usually her mind would create a mental apparation of her that she was able to control... but not tonight. Tonight, her mind wandered far and wide until it came across a pony (@) ... her mind was set in sadness and memories of the past...

 

She remembered... sometimes, these trips into other's minds were eventful... especially one that caused her to come into direct contact with... somepony. Why couldn't she remember anything?

 

Yet, for some reason, all she could do was to brush away the sadness and replace it with reassurance... before she woke up to the sound of howling in the distance...

 

(first eventful post. Don't worry, me and BlackShardNixum are scheming in a PM over how we want to play my character...)

Arianna was practicing the assigned spell, having a bit of trouble getting a hang of it.  She groaned as she went unsuccessful again, stomping her front right hoof.  She shook her head, putting the cap on the bottle of anger.  She tried once again, just barely getting it.

You know what? History class was boring. Everyday it was the same thing. Guardians of Harmony this, The King that. Don't cross the Everfree River. Blah blah, huge problems, nopony cares. 

 

Some random pony passing out for no apparent reason, however, seemed quite interesting. Currently there was only one other pony next to the unconscious one with... was that a circle with a frowning unibrow as a cutie mark? Pisces couldn't really tell with the blanket covering most of her. What kinda of special talent was that? Oh well, Pisces wasn't one to judge no matter how strange one's special talents were.

Pisces walked up to the blue pega- DISCORD'S BEARD WERE THOSE MECHANICAL WINGS!?!? Pisces wanted mechanical wings. Those things looked awesome! I mean you could totally fly around with those things like normal wings, but then at the same time you could put all kinds of cool stuff in them. Like a snack compartment! Could you put a snack compartment in normal wings? No!

 

The pink earth pony shook himself out of his stupor as he approached the FRIGGIN' AWESOME MECHANICAL WINGED pegasus who probably had some many snacks in her wings right now she was like a walking buffet! 

 

Pisces stopped himself again. Don't freak out Pisces, just play it cool and you might find out if she has any food in her wings. Oh sweet six, please let there be some kelp in there!

 

Pisces nonchalantly walked p to the blue pegasus. "What happened to her?" he asked, pointing at the brown pony with an upset donut on her flank.

Libra looked up from her thoughts, blinking at the pony in front of her. Why was he staring at her like that? He wasn't doing a very good job at trying to hide his gawking....

"She fell down, then said she'd be fine in about thirty minutes...then she was gone." she replied softly, "It's all quite strange, I'm rather worried...."

Her gaze fell on his cutie mark. Another zodiac sign? This one was Pisces.

All quite strange indeed......

Scorpiok had practiced off school with the teacher (oooh) to skip some of the basic routines during class and made the spell with great successes not puting too much strain to his body but still hard to control his power so he could burst out any time at all right now.

Arianna didn't glance his way, still struggling to get it perfect.  The teacher came over for a few minutes, helping her out.  After a few more tries she felt much more comfortable with the spell.  She didn't know what she would use it for, but it would surely come in handy sometime.

Libra looked up from her thoughts, blinking at the pony in front of her. Why was he staring at her like that? He wasn't doing a very good job at trying to hide his gawking....

What?! That didn't make sense. What kind of pony just fall over and says, 'oh don't worry, I'm just gonna pass out here for a half hour. No biggie, I do this all the time.' That was ridiculousness! Did the school nurses know about this? They should know about this. Wait, did this school even have school nurses? Pisces had never gotten hurt on school grounds so he had never needed a school nurse. He assumed this school had a school nurse. A school without a school nurse was like a mailbox without its red swingy flap thing. That is to say, it can hardly be considered a proper mailbox at all. If it didn't have a red swingy thing how would the anyone know the mail had come.

 

Pisces was getting off topic, and the purposes and necessities of mailbox swing thingys (what were those things called anyway. Off topic again) could wait for another day. Pisces looked around not really seeing anypony else around. It would be rude to just leave the two alone, but at the same time he had class right now.

 

Oh wait, Pisces hated history.

 

"Mind if I kept you company? "Pisces asked, taking a seat next to the mechanical winged pegasus. "I have to admit, I'm awfully curious about your wings."

Aquarius walked over to magic class, which was her best subject, she knew so many spells, but she never forgot them, but what was still getting her was the zodiac cutie marks. " I still don't get it! if they have a zodiac cutie marks, then all of us in a way must have a strange connection, could we all mean something if we all joined together in one? " Aquarius thought while biting her hoof, which was another strange habit of hers.

midnight smiled his classmates staring at his target in awe, he had made almost perfect shots, but something was troubleing him, but he didnt know what, nothing usually troubled him, he was level headed.

 

shaking his head, it must be his friend who fell unconsious, he turned to his teacher and asked to be excused, "of course midnight." he replied, "you passed my class today anyway."

 

midnight nodded gathered his things and left the class almost an hour early and trotted back into the lunch hall, finding her still unconsious, with libra there as well.

 

"hey libra," he smiled and trotted up," i was let out of class early, mind if i join you?"

What an odd bunch of ponies during lunch. Sagittarius had largely spent his class period trying to redraw them to the worst of his ability, and predictably ended up with a confusing mish-mash of hooves on paper, and a couple zodiac symbols here or there. And an equation for balancing some random chemical equation, since the teacher was talking about it. Hah! He knew he was in science class! Welp, back to drawing ponies.

Sometimes Sagittarius wondered if he was even capable of drawing quality art. Sure, everything he made was as shitty as it was because he meant to make it shitty, but what if he was just kidding himself and he really did draw that poorly? Should he try something less...wonlish? Maybe an actual portrait one day?

And then the instinctive 'meh' kicked in, and Sagittarius went back to doodling stupid stuff while the teacher prattled on about the history of the Guardians of...

Wait, he thought this was science class.

Never mind; there were more important things to be doing. Like drawing.

Arianna left class as the bell rang.  It was her free period and she needed to slip out and get something to kill this headache she was getting.  She sat on a bench, periodically wondering if Scorpiok would catch up with her later.  She found a piece of chocolate in her bag and popped it in her mouth, a healing spell going through her mind as her horn glowed with a neon orange aura.

"Oh dear, I've been rude." she stuttered, turning to the new pony beside her, "What's your name, huh?"

"shes out cold isnt she?" he smiled, "hope she likes the blanket my adoptive mother made it for me in case something happened and i was stranded somewhere without something warm."

he chuckled, "im the closest thing to a son to her."

Midnight? Adoptive mother? Horrible situations that could possibly be foreshadowing future events? Pisces decided that Midnight...seemed all right. He didn't have a possible snack compartment in his wings, but cool enough.

 

Oh hey, the little bundle of unconsciousness was making a metamorphosis into full consciousness. It was like a consciousness party up in here.

 

Pisces walked over to the two mares. The adorable little bundle of insomnia seemed to be a bit upset so Pisces kept his mouth shut. Friendship was happening, and Pisces could learn about potential snack compartments later.

Midnight smiled and trotted over, "hey tlalli," then noticed libra's worried look, "hey, whats wrong?"

he held out his hoof for tlalli to take, smiling gently.

he tilted his head, the way she looked reminded him of someone, but he couldnt remember who, or what, so he shrugged and smiled.

Tlalli smiled, She liked Pisces so far 'Yes, All the time actually' she explained calmly 'It's just like having a seizure, without violence or needing any special attention, It's pretty much just a flashback but I'm living it in my blackout' Tlalli let her smile and eyes fall 'I..' She trailed off, She didn't really like to tell anypony this stuff, But she looked back in Pisces eyes with a look that tried to say 'Im alright', Tlalli wasn't sure how much she succeeded at doing so, Buts it all she could manage for now..

Ah ha! It all made sense now! A flashblack within a blackout? There was only one name for that phenomenon.

While Pisces wanted to press as to what horrible tragedy had occurred in her past, (which was no doubt due to some strange internal logic 'her fault') it was apparent that she obviously didn't want to talk about it.

"What's wrong?" Pisces asked, a look of worry crossing his face.

Tlalli keep a straight face, This didn't make sense, What the HELL was this? 'Midnight..' she said with a touch of worry in her voice 'Shadows with no sun?' She looked up, The Lights were always dim, Too dim to make shadows, She looked back at Midnight and cocked her head slightly, 'What is this?' said a voice in her head, She didn't want to know.

Ariann saw a small group of ponies chatting.  She watched them carefully.  They were all in the lunch room as well.  She sat and waited for the bell to signify the beginning of the last class and decided she should probably try to get there soon.  She made no effort to leave though, still watching the group.

Libra nodded, gazing worriedly at Midnight. Tlalli was right. It was too dark for shadows, especially as the day wore on...

She didn't have a good feeling about this. But she wondered... There were many rumors going around the slums. Rumors of a strange, shadowy presence that stalked ponies. You could never see it clearly, or so they say. You can only feel its overwhelming power and hatred, its malicious intent... So it was simply called The Presence... It's legends overtook that of the old ghost stories. Ghost stories of a being called Discord, and a dark Changling Queen...

"You don't think... That it could be...." She started, but shook her head. No. It was only a story. "Never mind.."

After all, stories were stories.....right?
