Leo was having a fun time already and was enjoying being in the company of such a sweet mare. Hmm I wonder where Minath is at she should've been here by now. Leo smiled back at Firebolt and excused himself for a moment he wanted to see if his friend Minath had arrived. He opened the front door and saw a pony walking around outside. Leo took a few steps outside "Hey you ok? You're at the right place if you got my flyer I kinda just sent all but one out at random. Please come in and meet everypony I'm your host Leonin but please call me Leo."

Jonh who was walking around was startled when he heard another pony behind him. "whoa there friend, yo almost gave me a heart attack." John took a deep breath. He then acknowledge the pony. " Well howdy Leo, my name is John. I'm alright its just.." John started to get nervous." I guess i would have to say i have trouble mingling." John said as he hung his head. "i shouldn't burden you with my problems. I guess i will try again." John then tipped his hat to Leo and started trotting back inside the house.

Sweets would nod, tilting her head to the side. Her eyes regarded the punch table briefly, and she nodded once. "Oh! Yes. That's sounds like a good idea. The fly over left me a little thirsty." she nodded once more, swishing her hips to turn to the drink table. "Shall we, Mr. Snap?" she asked him, flicking that well groomed tail.

Ginger Snap looked at the beautiful mare and smiled as he started to say "Why yes, I would very much like to join you for punch my lady." He tried to sound as formal as possible to impress the young mare. Ginger Snap then said "So, what do you do for a living?"

Minath knew she was running late, but was only flying as fast as her wings could take her. Arriving at Leo's beach house, she just let herself in, and set off on her quest to find her friend. Locating Leo, Minath gave him a great big hug.

 

"It's been forever! How have you been!" Minath said, still winded from her flight.

Leo felt one of his best friends just hug him once she let herself inside his beach house it was a shock but that's what he liked about Minath, that and she was his closest friend. He felt his heart skip a beat during the hug as he returned the gesture "Heh I know right. It's been what a few years at least since we really saw each other." Leo was a little disappointed that he hadn't tried to get together with one of his best friends in so long but issues kept coming up for both of them. He was happy to have Minath here with him now the party could really get started. "Look at you Minath you haven't changed a bit still..." Leo took a second to swallow a lump in his throat. "as pretty as ever." Leo felt weird for saying that but he never really saw Minath as anything more than a friend until she hugged him.

Minath was a tad confused. The afterthought Leo had said about 'as pretty as ever'? What was that about?

 

"Not to shabby yourself" Minath said, laughing. she was all twitchy. She knew none of these ponies. Let the social awkwardness begin. "So, uh, whatcha been up to?" Minath asked, trying to ignore her instincts to check everypony's mug, possible escape routes, ect.

Leo chuckled as he watched his friend looking around the room trying to find the best way out of this party no doubt. "Oh you're not leaving Minath all the doors and windows are barred shut mwahahahaha." Leo laughed seeing the look of panic on her face before calming down. "Heh I haven't been doing much of anything here lately just wandering Equestria the last few months playing on the road. What about you?" It was nice to have her here it was a welcome relief since he didn't know anypony here either.

"Scaring the guard out of their hooves, as always. The princess assigned me some reading material. Do I look like I need any help onn military strategy?" Minath asked rhetorically (ahh! my spelling is terrible!!). Minath stood up to her full height. She was short, so even at her full height she barely stood as tall as Leo sloughing. It was fun to mess with the new guards, they always expected her to be weak due to her size. Then she would pummel them in a sparring match. Minath smiled at the sadistic memory.

Leo started laughing uncontrollably he could only imagine the terror on those poor new recruits faces. The fact that she was picking on them hoped it meant something good. "Heh always the prankster Minath that's what I love about you. You've got such a lighthearted aura about you when you're having fun." He motioned for her to come in more as he started walking towards the den to take a seat so that they could catch up.

Minath plobbed down on the couch, stretching her wings so they wouldn't cramp up from sudden stop of flying. She thought about what Leo had said, about her being lighthearted hen she was having fun. This was true, of course. She was paralyzed when it came to new ponies, that's why her friend group was so limited.

 

Minath decided to ask the question that she wa thinking about for most of the flight. "So, have you gotten yourself a fillyfriend yet?"

Leo gasped at her sudden question and fumbled with his hooves. "Heh um...well...you know a hip stallion like me I get all the ladies." Leo grinned and soon saw the disbelief and expression on Minath's face and he let out a sigh. "No I don't have a fillyfriend. I was kinda taken on the one here named Firebolt but she just seems so different than me. What about you did you find your special somepony yet?" Leo chuckled lightly poking her leg with his hoof.

"Nope. Every stallion I've basically ever met has been a jerk, like Soarin', or a guard. I guess I'm just too intimidating" Minath said, laughing to the end. Only her personality during work was intimadating. Everything else was all shy, or outgoing.

 

"Do you have any rum? And cherry coke?" Minaath's favorite drink from the moment she turned an adualt was rum and cherry coke. She really hoped there was some. If all else failed, just cherry coke would be fine.

Leo chuckled along with her. She was right though he'd seen how she was around her fellow guards and her presence could come off as intimidating. "Sure thing Minath let me grab it for ya." Leo stood up and took a moment to place his guitar on one of the stands. He kept one in every room for when he wanted to put it down. He stopped and looked back at the guitar it felt wrong to have it off but he never really had the courage to tell anypony else about why he never really took it off. Leo headed into the Kitchen and went into his mini bar pulling out some rum and a cherry coke. Mixing the drink and adding some ice he carefully brought it back on three hooves. "A drink for my very close friend." Leo smiled handing Minath her drink.

Minath smiled, thanking Leo quietly, like she always did. To Minath there wee some phrases never to be said in public, if ever at all. (1) Please (2) Thank you (3) anything involvong the word 'love'.

 

Minath put her hooves slightly off the couch, but her hindlegs next to her flank.

 

"So hows everything with work coming along?" Minath asked.

John went back into the house in the room he was originally in. He thought about all the times he was alone with no one to talk to and it almost brought a tear to his eye. I have to change my ways. He thought to himself as he poured himself a drink. He then proceeded to add a little alcohol to his drink. This will loosen me up a bit. Hopefully. he said to himself as he drank the whole thing in one setting.

Backtracking, Minath said "So, what's it like, here on the beach. More of a city person myself." Minath said laughing. "But I must say, the air tastes wierd in cities." Minath added with a slight giggle. She took a sip of her drink, and was hoping herself and Leo could catch up some more
