private A meeting with Death

"Yeah, but at least they'll be safe." He looked out from the cliff at the view. "Wow... It really looks beautiful, dosen't it?" He sat for a moment and stared out at it all. Then he had an idea. "ECHO!!!" His voice did echo, but the boulders that began falling didn't. He looked up and saw them, along with something... odd in the sky. Well, that explained how they were tracked. But for now, he had to get Arrow out of the way of the rocks. He tackled her and sheilded her with his body.

 

Paradox jumped when he heard Shade's voice. "D-dammit, Shade! What are you doing here!? Go back to the others now! I don't need you here too! I'm sorry, but go!" He glared at her. He really wanted to be alone with Arrow, and now, with the path out, all the walking they would have to do would just give him more time with her.

Arrow jumped as the rock's came crumbling down past them. But she felt quite comforted as Paradox ran to help her.

As the rocks tumbled over the path Arrow frowned. "Now what ? I could try to fly us over...but maybe that's a bad idea." She said, looking up at the high stack of rocks.

She stayed quiet as Paradox talked to Shade. She felt like she wanted to be alone with Dox but she also didn't want to leave the group behind.

Moonbeam didn't receive any answers so she said, "Take a moment to decide what you're going to do, but we have to leave soon."

 

It was at this point that she noticed that Shade had gone missing, along with Arrow and Paradox. Oh no!

 

"Um, Lost Knowledge? Do you mind if I have a quick word with you? In private."

(OOC you know, everypony else can post while they're traveling with the other group...)

Paradox grabbed Arrow's hoof and said, "C'mon, there's a path leading down back here somewhere. We can use that and hopefully bypass the rocks." He started walking and walked right past Shade without a second look. She had been rather rude so far, and really, he wanted nothing to do with her.

"I...okay." She said, following closely behind Paradox. *Ok...either convince Paradox to wait for the others and ruin our alone time...or just follow Paradox without the others and have some alone time...What am I talking about ? Here I am worrying about a colt and Death is on a rampage across Equestria...Ugh Arrow...i'll just stay quiet.* She thought. But she still couldn't help but glance back at Shade

Dox turned down a fork in the road, going down the cliff. It was already starting to get to be midday. His stomach started growling, and he still needed to explain how they were tracked. He found a flat outcropping and sat there with her, getting foodstuffs out of his bag.

Arrow quietly sat down next to Paradox. "Dox...I...d-do you really think we should have left the other's behind ? I just...we did all join the group at our own free will...no pony made us do it. Do you think it would be better if we were to wait for them ? I wan't to spend time with you...allot." She blushed and looked down at her hooves.

"Well... no, just no, ok Arrow? We are not going to wait for them. I don't need to be responsible if something happened to them, and if the princesses ever found that something happened to them under my watch, they could sentence me to death. That's why I sent them home. You're lucky I let you come, but that's only because I..." He blushes.

shade smiled and walked up "I what? oh i know. you love her dont you?" she said. 

 

shade opened her mouth as green mist came out of doxes body, not alot of mist came out but enough to make shade happy. the mist went strate into shades mouth as she ate the love she absorbed from him.

 

she walks past and ahead of dox "keep it up, she might love you back"

"I'm sorry Dox, I jus-" She was cut off as Shade fed from Dox. Without hesitation Arrow made vines come up out of the ground and shoot at Shade.

the vines wrapped around Shade's hooves and moved towards her neck. "You're A Changeling. I KNEW IT." She yelled, angrily.

shade coudnt do anything but laugh " it took you long enough... but your wrong, im a halfling." shade was struggling to get out, she changes into her changeling forum.

" so what are you going to do with me? kill me? what use would that be?... look, i might be a changeling, but im not a bad one, so do as you please, kill me and just add to the undead army."

Arrow couldn't help but laugh. The vines tightened slightly but the vine heading towards her neck moved away. "You're not a bad changeling and you feed from my coltfriend ? Even if you were the nicest pony I feel like I could rip you limb from limb. No pony hurts my friends. No. Pony. But, for the sake of the mission." The vines dropped Shade to the ground, not bothering to be gentle.

Shade opened her mouth and a small amout of mist came out of arrow. She ate it...

(OOC: Usually I would point out that Arrow isn't techinically a pony. But I suppose love is love.)

 

Arrow walked up close to Shade and glared into her eyes. "You said it Shade. I love him. The thought of some...'Thing' Feeding off my love for him makes my blood boil. Do it again. And I will make that last vine move to your neck. I mean it Shade." She said, looking away and walking back to Dox.

"Of course. Lets just go over here, away from the others."

 

He indicated a secluded part of the garden.

 

Why does she want to talk to me in private? What could she possibly have to tell me that nopony else can hear?

Chamois was watching the events all play out from a distance away, the darkness hiding her well as her gray coat and black mane camouflaged her into the shadows.

She stood silently for a moment.

She didn't know what she was supposed to do now.  Perhaps she should just go home.  They had been abandoned by who she supposed she would call their leader, and these other two ponies were about to go off somewhere.

And where were the rest?  She didn't know.  So now, she was alone.

As usual.

"Look here!"

Nightfall started getting agitated.

"If you're going to intercept Paradox, we're going to need to leave now. Those who want to stay can, but if Moonbeam stays, I'm taking the maps. I'm going. Nothing is stopping me. Anyone who wants to stay and not join me, speaking up now. Otherwise, I need the maps now."

Paradox just stared at th mare that were fighting. He really hadn't felt anything, just a bit drained. (ba dum tsh) And then he heared Arrow say it. He was her coltfriend, which mean't she was his marefriend. He blushed, moving closer to her and kissing her lovingly.

Chamois jumped slightly and looked up at Nightfall.  She stood there for a moment, considering her options.

1. Go home, continue living your boring life.  Maybe not even make it home.
2. Stay here.  You won't make it through the night.
3. Follow this fella right here, and actually do something for once.  And the right thing too.

Actually, none of the options seemed very good.  But perhaps the third could do.  Chamois started towards Nightfall.  "I'll join you," she said, keeping in a loud voice so that she would be heard.

Moonbeam walked with Lost to a place away from the others. She looked very anxious and nervous. "We...we have to leave and meet Paradox as soon as possible. There's something I have to tell you, but you can't tell any of the others, alright?" she began. She spoke in a hushed voice.

 

"Do you remember last night when my bat panicked and flew away? Well it told me something; something it found out using it's echolocation. I..I wanted to give her the benefit of the doubt, but now she's alone with Arrow and Paradox, and I don't know anymore. Shade...Shade is a changeling."

Lost Knowledge had no idea how to react to that. He knew she had been acting strangely, but a changeling.

 

"Sweet Celestia... are you sure? I mean, I guess that would explain her attitude, but why would she come with us if she's going to have to fight her own people? I mean, she could be a double agent or something, but how could the changelings have found out so quickly?"

Shade starts to walk , looking back and seeing dox kissing arrow, "how cute"

Arrow glared at Shade then...nuzzled Dox. "I'm sorry you had to see that...I am pretty protective...of everything that mean's something to me." She said, blushing slightly. *Well...i'm not going to be sleeping tonight. No way I am letting myself close my eyes when that thing is around.* She thought, looking back over at shade.

Lost Knowledge followed her back to the others.

Moonbeam nodded at Lost before turning to Nightfall. "We're ready to go,"  she told him. She took out her map and looked around a bit before pointing out into the woods. "We should go that way if we're going to intercept Paradox," she said plainly. "I'll lead the way." She began walking in the right direction, with the assumption that the rest would follow.
