books Dan Brown's Inferno

Dan Brown, author of The Da Vinci Code and Angels & Demons, has his new book out, titled "Inferno." It will be the fourth book in the Robert Langdon series (after Angels & Demons, The Da Vinci Code, and The Lost Symbol) and will be Brown's first published work in nearly 4 years. It will drop on May 14, 2013 and will be centered in Italy, focused around Dante's Inferno (which means "hell" in Italian).

What do you think? I am incredibly excited, and I never get excited about books. I feel like Brown's books are the only things that actually get me engaged. Books are always described as "pageturners" and say how you "can't put it down" but that's never the case for me... until I read Brown's books.

I read all of Dan Brown's stuff (except The Lost Symbol) a couple years ago.  Digital Fortress was the second most addicting book I had ever read (next to Harry Potter) and I still think that Deception Point would make a kickass movie.

That said, there's a certain deja vu that comes with reading Dan Brown.  Devices like changing points of view after a cliffhanger, only-kind-of-correct insight into obscure organizations, and protagonists waking up to a phone call are used by him so often it's almost formulaic.

While I'll still probably pick it up, it's hard for me to get excited about.

That's really all there is to say on the matter.

I have only ever read the Da Vinci Code and was defininetly hooked when I did.

Though as sad as it may sound, I don't even really recall the book.

Have been meaning to at least read Angels and Demons for awhile now, and this new book coming out definitely sounds intersting already!
