writing Are you alone?

What will you do when everything just falls and turns to dust?

When everything that stood to challenge malevolent desires is gone?

Are you alone?

Among all these ashes and charred remains

Are you alone?

Among all the ruins that you could have saved

 

Are you hearing all of the cries?

The screams of all innocence, thrown to the lonely skies

I only know one thing for certain

This pain is for real,

Its fires within are fuelled by your mind

It watches in secret and strikes when it pleases

So are you alone?

I am sure that you are

There’s no one to save you

No one to hear you,

When you scream

Yelling a name which has long lost its meaning

There’s only you

There’s only me

And there’s only us

But nothing in between

So, I think you’re alone

With no one to turn to

And no one to care when you burst into tears

Among these barren fields of dust and ash

Stands you and me and every trouble in the world

And even though I am here, I cannot be there for you

So, yes, you’re alone

Alone with the dust

Alone with the ash

Alone with rubble

And alone with dying dream of us
