I HAVE COMPLETED THE CIRCLE OF THE ART TRADE.

And I have to admit, this is the very first time doing such~

So I went ahead and tried to draw Lunar Fields in a more 'G4' style. This is how it turned out.

If there's anything I missed, then just tell me and I shall either fix it or draw constantly until my eyes burn out.

Oh, you. 

 

You said something about GIMP? I prefer Inkscape personally. And I can't really do backgrounds or scenery or any of that stuff yet. At least you've dabbled in it.

 

Shouldn't take me a year. 

 

Well, I don't suppose... Hm. I dunno. Nature may not really be his strong point, but I could see him in a tree in the woods looking for inspiration from nature, perhaps tooting away a sweet melody on his beautifully carved wooden flute. 

 

He can play a variety of instruments. He's most skilled in brass instruments like the tuba or french horn, but he's proficient in piano and flute. He always carries the same beautifully carved wooden flute around with him, which was a gift from somepony important to him in his youth.

 

(Wooden flute. Hint, hint. Again, the design is up to you.)

 

He prefers fedoras or flat caps, usually in colors that match or compliment his mane. But he doesn't have to be wearing a hat for the sake of this picture if you don't want him to.

 

 

I don't use GIMP myself; I use Paint Tool Sai but I've heard GIMP was an awesome substitute when you couldn't afford Photoshop. And I'm actually not the best at backgrounds (particularly perspective) but the best way to learn is try and practice~. Maybe try simple ones and using references would help.

 

I've heard of people waiting like 3 years for parts of their art trade.   It sounds drastic but there seems to be people that'd do things like that. Of course I'm not saying you would! Very sorry if it sounds like I seriously thought you might take that long! I'm sure you're fine on time! 

 

Okay, wooden flute, nature inspiration, and hat-or-no-hat! Got it~! Does he play with his hooves on or uses his magic to hold the flute?

 

Oh, okay. I'll try to get that as soon as possible then! No, it's just that on Paint I used the same color and it was hard to see XD

Yes, the same angle please. And yes again, just fire and burning. FireBlaze also has blank eyes and  crown on. Her crown looks similiar to Celestia's, except the gem in the middle is fire shaped and has a little flame in it.

 

Ah, I see~. So the guards have yellow wings? 

 

I got it~! I'll post it here when I'm finished.

 It's awesome~! I love it! Really cool~! ^o^ His neck is a little long, but he's great besides that! Than you so  much! You didn't forget anything! You got all his details. The long neck is the only problem, but you don't have to fix it if you don't want to.

Whether he uses his hooves or his magic is entirely up to you. He knows how to use both.

I finished my paper. I'm likely to spend the rest of the day playing Portal 2 or Civilisation V, and tomorrow will likely be vector day, since I only have one class first thing in the morning. So if I actually work on vectors tomorrow, odds are I'll manage to at least start yours.

No, they don't have yellow wings. They have orange wings, but they have an armour piece on their top part of their wing. For an example, look at the Guard picture.

Thank you~! I like it! You forgot his bracelets, cutie mark, and freckles, though. His neck disappeared for some reason too. It's nice otherwise~!  

 

I will trade art with you gladly! I saw your OC, I'll draw her if you draw Megamare?

(My avatar is my only refrence, so you are going to have to come up with the body. Be creative!)

 

If you are being lazy you can look in my art thread and find Art Streak. She is much easier to draw.

I'm okay with the challenge of designing him/her for you~! I need you to tell me more about him/her for me to design him/her right though. I'm thinking he/she would be wearing Megaman gear, but besides that I'd need to know things like gender, species (earth, pegasus, alicorn), cutie mark/personality (personality if you want me to make up a cutie mark), talent, and anything else you'd think I needed to know. Any background you want?

Just draw Megamare as a earth pony, by herself, on a white background, with Megaman's gear. I'll get around to drawing Lunar Fields when I get home (I'm currently in a ski chalet.)

Finished your's! I'm doing them in order of difficulty instead of the order you guys asked, so Megamare's was first! 

 

 

There's your's~! While I was working on the trades I also did a quick anthro of Lunar Fields.
