"What do you mean, you haven't caught Abra?" Drew asked, smiling.

Luna pulled her sleeping bag and a roll out foamy from her bag. She placed it on the floor of the tent then looked at Drew. "Well...I have caught him...there are just times where he goes off and does what he wants...not when there is danger or something. I mean stuff like he will hide my bag when I am trying to go out when he wants attention or something...he's an annoyingly lovable little bugger." She giggled and looked at drew still smiling. She looked into his pretty blue eyes and couldn't look away...almost like she had fallen into a trance.

I can do this all day you know. (But really I'll stop now...)

The man in the headband turned from where he looked out the window, and observed Leon with a professional interest. "You battled Jasmine?"

"Oh uh..yeah." Leon said surprised the man would care about such a thing. "It's actually not the first gym I've challenged. I won a few badges back in Unova but....things prevented me from continuing. So I took a break and came to Johto to challenge it's Pokemon League." Leon explains trying not to think about the day he gave up his Pokemon. "Anyway, I was going to challenge this city's gym but well I think you can see why I haven't yet." Leon says gesturing towards the storm still raging outside.

@@Glaceon,

While it might be dangerous, greatly, it didn't sit right with Stella to put both her pokemon in danger without going with them. Plus, it shouldn't be that hard to make her way through the rubble. It would be much harder to make one's way out of it.  "Alright. Vulpix, clear a path for me and Absol. Absol, you find any survivors with your horn." Both nervously nodded, Vulpix looking a bit more confident then the Absol, though Absol was much more powerful.

Absol nodded, and closed its eyes. It seemed to understand the reality of the situation, and for once was willing to obey its master. Its horn glowed a faint blue, then, moments later, looked up, eyes flashing towards a large fallen beam. "Sol!"

Luna pulled her sleeping bag and a roll out foamy from her bag. "Well, Ecruteak's Gym Leader only just got an hour ago, from his journey to Sinnoh," the man in the headband murmured somberly, "so your timing is impeccible. But make sure you're quite thoroughly prepared. He is a very powerful trainer."

@@Glaceon,

Stella smiled. "Awesome!" She exclaimed. The fallen beam was probably one of the central beams in the tower, due to it's size. She wasn't sure if both of her pokemon could move it, plus there didn't seem to be any trainers in the area. Due to the slight breeze, any fire would spread towards the beam instead of away from it. Better get there quick, then. Stella thought.

Vulpix was already making quick work of the fire separating them from the beam, removing the fire using it's ability. Both Absol and Stella treaded close behind the Vulpix, who was progressively getting stronger. They continued, though fire had began closing in on them from the side the wind was blowing. No going back, without Vulpix, now.

A muscular trainer wearing a sleeveless white tunic walked calmly out of the Pokemon Center, and gestured at Ryan. "Come on inside. You might want to see the news."

Ryan looked up to see the trainer, motioning for him to get inside the Pokemon Center, with Ryan not taking any chances outside and trying to brace the storm. He ran inside the building, seeing all the Pokemon around him, and their trainers scared as well.

"What's going on? What's with the storm here?", he calmly asked, trying to see who had the news with him.

((This post seems good as is. I don't have much to say, besides try having your Absol slice the beam with its horn. I've got a plan for what will happen when you do.))

The trio arrived at the central beam. As strong as it once stood erect, it appeared weak, fallen over as it was. Much of the concrete had crumbled away. A muffled groaning could be heard from under it.

"He shouldn't be too hard." Leon responded somewhat arrogantly. "I just caught a normal type and my Growlithe knows Bite so I think I stand some sort of a chance." "Why do I care?" The man sneered in a grim amusement. "I'll tell you why I care."

He withdrew a Pokeball from his belt and chucked it, almost lazily, over his shoulder. And the Pokemon that emerged was something out of a nightmare. It was a dark shadow with malevolent, glowing red eyes, and an unnerving, sinister smile. It lurched towards Leon threateningly, cackling.

"My name is Morty, and I am the Gym Leader of Ecruteak City." His dark eyes scanned Leon insolently, and he actually laughed. "I can't believe Jasmine decided you were worthy enough to battle. You're not ready to battle me yet. Go train some more, little trainer, and don't come back until you won't just be a waste of my time."

With that, the shadowy Pokemon he sent out enveloped him, and in a whirl of darkness, both he and the Pokemon disappeared...

Luna gulped and found herself slowly leaning closer to Drew...but after a moment she realized what she was doing and for the hundredth time that night...her cheeks went from their usual pale self to a bring rosey red. "Um...I...sorry." She said, quickly looking away from Drew to unroll her foam mattress.

Drew looked taken aback at Luna's second massive change in demeanor. Maybe there was a twinge of disappointment in there somewhere as well; it was hard to tell. Either way, he murmured, "Right, right," and unrolled his bedroll as well, hiding the dull flush that had risen in his cheeks.

He had no idea what to think about this girl.

"See for yourself," the Black Belt said, gesturing at the television.

An incredibly windswept reporter was on the TV, and the staticy footage showed the familiar Cityscape of Goldenrod City. Highly visible in the background was the Radio Tower, which glowed orange and red, licked by tongues of an almighty fire. The reporter seemed to be narrating of the locals' attempts to rescue employees inside the building, and of the unusual nature of the lightning that had struck it. Footage rolled showing several young women, obviously from the gym, attempting to fight back the flames, and carrying several hurt women and Pokemon away from the scene. From the streets, it appeared there were several trainers as well, using stronger Pokemon attempting to save the building as well. Pokemon like Poliwrath and Blastoise could be seen, too big to be blown away, trying to quench the fires on the outside of the building.

What was the Pokemon Morty had, how did both Morty and the Pokemon disappear, and why was Leon having second thoughts? Should he have stayed in Unova? Stayed in the grimy city of Virbank? Leon didn't quite know the answer.

He sat down in one of the few empty chairs and took out Growlithe's Pokeball and looked at it, turning it around and scanning it for a good minute. As he put it back he looked out the window of the Pokemon Center, seeing the horrible storm outside. After a while he went to sleep, with the same questions and doubts in his mind.

((Earlier that day, somewhere north of Azalea...))

A large, blue beast stood on the water of a pure, beautiful lake, watching over its domain. It was a beautiful scene, and a beautiful day, as the visiting Beast of Water saw. The Marill, Slowpoke, and Furret enjoying themselves in the water, the Oddish, Bellossom, and Bellsprout basking in the sunlight on the shores. All was peaceful.

Thunder rang across the land, an unnatural sound that caused the Sentret and the Aipom and the Pidgey to flee to their dens and nests in fright, and the Poliwag and Marill to flee, quivering, under the surface of the forest pool. The visiting guardian turned its majestic head, purple mane flowing gracefully behind it, and it sped towards the disturbance, in long, nimble bounds...

Luna waited for a moment. "Well ?" She said, wondering what Drew was about to say.

She yawned as well and rubbed her eyes. *I don't know how I am going to sleep in this.* She thought, looking up at the ceiling of the tent again.

She sighed and glanced over at Drew, awaiting a reply.

((Bahaha! I totally just forgot to finish that part of the post.))

"Well, you can't say it's been a boring first day of our journey, can you?" Drew said, thoughtfully. Then he cheered up slightly. "This has made me think, though. I should probably bring one of my old pokemon back from Sinnoh. Just for safety's sake, you know? We got lucky."

@@Glaceon,

Stella gritted her teeth. Vulpix was getting too tired to push the flames back anymore, and Absol seemed to be failing with... whatever it was he was doing.

Absol continued using his horn to try to slash the beam in half. He now heard the soft groaning again, even though both Stella and Vulpix couldn't.

The egg Stella carried seemed to wriggle uncomfortably due to the heat.

Absol had managed to slice about halfway through the beam, but it seemed to be tiring as well, as was Vulpix. The flames were pressing closer, and it got to the point where Stella found herself with her back up against the beam, trying to stay away from the flames.

A flame licked Absol's back foot, and it yelped. At that very moment, a long, deep cry could be heard, from directly behind and above Stella!

((Legendary Encounter: Please listen to the music while you read this.))

A gust of wind ruffled Stella's hair, blowing it in front of her eyes, and simultaneously  there was a large cracking sound as the beam behind Stella split in two. When Stella pulled her hair out her eyes, instead of the flames that had been threatening her, towering above her, stood nothing other than the Aurora Pokemon of legend.  The elegantly slender form was a light blue, and was patterned with white diamonds along its sides; atop its head was a tall, hexagonal crest that resembled a crown, and from under that flowed a majestic purple mane; two streamerlike tails waved along its sides from behind it, as if in the nonexistant wind.

The Suicune met Stella's eyes, intelligence brimming behind its own, then it leapt over Stella and her two pokemon, over the beam that was now firmly rent in two, and out of the building. The crack that had split in the beam revealed a diminutive, broken form beneath it; the man was astonishingly still alive, but his breathing was shallow.

The news report outside was going ballistic. Not only had the rain stopped as suddenly as it had began in the vicinity of Goldenrod City, but the fire that had been positively devouring the Radio Tower had now been put out, and the camera followed the mysterious figure of a Pokemon most Johtonians would recognize instantly from the lore of the region as it leapt gracefully from building to building, and out of sight... @Umbreon

Kris had finally managed to retrieve all of the Pokemon Eggs from where they stood at risk outside, and pull them back into the Pokemon Center, and was currently being reprimanded by Nurse Joy for her rashness.

The white-suited man, with the R emblazoned on his chest, who was standing beside the tortured form of the legendary beast Raikou, imprisoned in its alphabetical cage, gazed intently at a television screen as the camera followed the legendary Pokemon Suicune out of sight. He smiled. "Finally, the second piece has come into play. Things just became rather interesting."

The Chansey's egg began to glow yellow, and it waved the yellow outline of its egg at the unconscious man, where it enveloped him.

@@Glaceon,

Absol backed up immediately, then realized that the foot where the fire had hit him was still bothering him. But, not enough for it to be anything that attention needed to be brought to.

"Is he alright?" Stella asked, walking up to Whitney, and her Chancey, who she assumed was healing the man.

"Yeah, I'm sure Chimecho would love to meet you too. She loves everybody," Drew said, looking faintly amused.    He caught a glimpse of Luna's Poketch, and his eyes widened slightly. "Well, we should probably be getting some sleep, don't you think?"

Luna nodded. "Let me just get into my jaaaI'll just sleep in my clothes." She said, blushing again and quickly climbing into her sleeping bag.

*Just admit it...you like him. He is the perfect guy...and he's going to be sleeping right next to me...okay...I gotta say something.* She looked up at Drew...still blushing. She opened her mouth as if to speak...but then she realized she had no idea what to say. *ABORT ABORT.* "IIIIIeeeeyyyyy....um...this rain is going to be hard to sleep in...heh heh." *Really Luna ? Great going...*

"I think so," Whitney murmured. "Chansey and I will do our best, then he'll be in the condition to move him over to the Pokemon Center. To let Nurse Joy have a look at him. You've done all you can, why don't you go get some rest? Then we can have our battle tomorrow."

Luna nodded. "Let me just get into my jaaaI'll just sleep in my clothes." She said, blushing again and quickly climbing into her sleeping bag.

Drew chuckled, and climbed into his own sleeping bag, accidentally brushing Luna's arm as he went. "Nah, it's not that bad," he yawned, closing his eyes. "You wouldn't say that if you'd gone camping at Lake Acuity..."

"Alright." Stella said, smiling gratefully. She then returned the two tired pokemon to their pokeballs. She'd have to take them to the pokemon center soon. "Er. Where would I go to do that?" Stella asked Whitney, not sure if the Pokemon centers offered the same trainer services as they do in Hoenn.
