Riolu pounded Lairon into the ground. For a moment, Lairon looked defeated, but it pulled itself back up with some encouragement from Jasmine, and she barked, "It's going to take a bit more than that, Leon! Lairon, Earth Power!" Lairon, suddenly glowing golded, pounded its foot into the metallic floor, which split open, revealing earth underneath. A large crack appeared under Lairon's foot, which shot towards Riolu.

"Watch out Riolu!' Leon yelled out to Riolu who tried using Quick Attack to run away. Unfortunately the crack had caught up with him and the ground erupted in front of him. Soon Riolu was boxed in by three different lava spouts. "Lu-Riolu." Riolu looked around. There was no where to go and Larion could pop out of anywhere. With nothing else to do Riolu closed his eyes and focused, once again seeing the auras of other creatures around him.

Oddish jumped away from Nidoran again, becoming more irritated then she was already. "Oddish! Use Sweet Scent!" Stella called out to Oddish, her frustration rising as well.

 

Oddish let out a Sweet Scent, a bit stronger then the last, and began to run away from the Nidoran, making the Vulpix separate the two.

Nidoran stopped pursuing Oddish upon getting blasted by the pungent pink cloud, slowing to a halt, completely distracted by the wonderful smell. There had never been a more perfect opportunity to catch the Vulpix.

 

Abra snickered again as Luna's eyes widened and her blush only got worse. "Well I...I mean...if you...I suppose...only if." She sighed. "Yes...I mean, only if you want..." She said, looking down at her feet, trying her best to avoid eye contact.

Abra didn't stop pulling on Drew's jeans, in fact he moved around to the other side of Drew's legs and tried pushing him towards Luna...

Still rather pink, Drew smiled and said, "I'd be happy to. If you'd have me come." 

 

At that moment, Abra chose to gave a partcularly hard shove, and Drew looked around at it, almost laughing. "You're worse than Aipom, you know that? Well, no, you aren't, but..."

Stella quickly pulled out one of the small, empty pokeballs she kept in her pockets and enlarged it once again. She then threw it at the Vulpix, hoping that it would catch.

 

Oddish jumped back more, seeing the pokeball being thrown at Vulpix, but still looked wearily over at Nidoran. 

Vulpix was in no condition to resist capture, disappearing in a flash of light. The ball landed on the ground, where it shook three times and then sat still. 

 

Nidoran seemed to be struggling with itself, taking slow steps towards Oddish, attempting to overcome the effects of Sweet Scent. 

 

 

 

Vulpix's data has been added to the Pokedex.

Vulpix, the Fox Pokemon. It can freely control fire, making fiery orbs fly like will-o'-the-wisps. Just before evolution, its six tails grow hot as if on fire.

Vulpix. Gender: Female.

Nature: Serious. Somewhat Vain. ((Nature only exists for the purpose of personality, which I attempted to portray.))

Ability: Flash Fire

Current Moveset: Flame Burst, Will-o-Wisp, Imprison (restricts movement), Confuse Ray. 

It is advised to train Vulpix to be able to use the move Hex, or perhaps Safeguard.

Riolu sensed the presence of Lairon behind it, and a little bit to the left, where it was preparing to once again leap for a Heavy Slam. Evidently it would be able to pass through the lava without fear thanks to its heavy iron hide. There was no using Counter on it this time. If Riolu tried to repeat the move it might get horribly burned by the spouts.

 

Riolu had to think of a plan and fast. As soon as Lairon was through the lava Riolu quickly jumped on top of Larion and used him to jump over one of the lava spouts. "Nice job Riolu." Leon said after Riolu landed. Riolu then took a fighting stance once more knowing Larion would try to strike again.

Paul got back into Olivine city and rested on the port for a bit to think about what he should do next.

 

He could go battle the gym leader with Tauros, Poliwag and Feebas. But the thought and likelihood that his two water pokemon will go up against a Magnamite and Magnaton  discouraged him from wanting to go though with it.

 

He then though about going back into route 39 to look for a Heracross to catch again. But considering what just happened Paul wasn't too keen on going back there.

 

"What should we do?" he said to the pokeball containing Feebas in his hand before he threw it into the ocean for Feebas to swim around while he pulled out his rod and began to fish.

After I stuck Shinx in his Pokéball, I decided to go look in the lighthouse, maybe see if it was like that other one in Sinnoh I'd been to. I went in, saw the stairs, and went right back out again. I hate stairs. Anyway, after looking at some more Pokémon and sticking the entries in the National 'Dex, I followed the other people towards the city lights.

Eevee was looking between the rather pink Drew and the still-red Luna rapidly. It did not look happy that apparently it now had a competitor for Drew's affections. ((And there goes my hopes for an Espeon.)) Drew, on the contrary, looked mildly pleased. "Sure, why not." He grinned at her. "Lead the way."

 

You're seriously going to do this? You saw her eyes. It's not natural. 

What are you talking about? They're pretty eyes. Nice and dark.

You know what I mean, don't be stupid. They were glowing. 

So?

So it's just not normal.

Nidoran seemed to finally break out of its trance, and launched itself at Oddish yet again, but this time, kicking at it powerfully with its hind legs.

Nothing bit immediately. It seemed, in fact, that the ocean was currently devoid of Pokemon. ((Team Rocket's in the Whirl Islands, remember?))

Moveset: Spark, Bite, Charge, Tackle.

Advised: Train to teach it Roar, Swagger, or Volt Switch.

Oddish was this time shot backwards at the impact. She eventually got up, angrily and released a poison powder, still gripping on to the pokeball containing Vulpix tightly.

 

Stella gritted her teeth in frustration. As far as she knew; Absol would be far too powerful in this kind of situation. Vulpix would be tired at this point, and Oddish couldn't do much with a poison type. The fact Oddish had even executed a move without the command too was irritating enough, as well.

"So...can I ask a favor. My parents have basically told Mrs. Danlep that I am not to leave the city...as in I am only to be training here. I have always wanted to travel around Johto but every time I bring it up, she just changes the subject...and if we actually are going to travel together...than, would you be willing to maybe help me convince her ?" She asked, as they turned the corner leading into Luna's neighborhood.

The Poisonpowder didn't appear to do much to Nidoran. In fact, all it did was cause the Nidoran to sneeze. It simply ran forward and used Double Kick once again. It was not very effective either, but it was more so than Oddish's Poisonpowder.

Nidoran had evidently forgotten that Vulpix had been captured, as it turned around immediately to greet its friend, suddenly very docile. Suddenly Oddish didn't matter anymore.

 

(OOC: She wont be in it for that long. This is probably gonna be the last time she is really involved in the RP. Is it okay if Luna isn't allowed to leave but she run's off anyway ?)

A powerful white orb formed in Lairon's mouth, but this time, instead of shooting at the floor, it shot directly at Riolu.

(Yeah, but it would probably be a good idea not to go to Olivine again after said incident, should it result in that. Which is really up to you.)   Drew slipped off his shoes and set Eevee down on the floor, where she scampered over to Abra.    "Hello, Mrs. Danlep," Drew called.

 

 

Luna lead Drew into the dining room. Moments later Mrs Danlep walked in and smiled. "Hello dear I don't think we have met before...in fact, I have not seen you around town...you're also the first person Luna has brought to lu-" "OH This looks delicious." Luna interrupted, not wanting Drew to know about her absence of friends. She quickly sat down. Mrs Danlep just rolled her eyes and sat down at the other end of the table.

 

Abra noticed Eevee run over but instead of meeting her, he yawned tiredly and slowly made his way towards her...he was obviously very tired...

 

Mrs Danlep served them some food and took a few bites before looking up. "So where did you two meet each other ? The lighthouse I expect." She chuckled and took a few bites of her pasta.

Luna nodded half way through a large mouthful of pasta. "Mhmmf" She said, swallowing and blushing slightly.

Mrs Danlep chuckled and looked across the table at Drew. "So Drew where are you from ?" She asked.

Eevee scampered in circles around the sleepy Abra. Seriously, when aren't Abra sleepy?

 

Drew sat down very politely, and had been about to respond in the affirmative when Luna did so for him through a mouthful of pasta. Well, you gotta give her kudos for her enthusiasm. 

 

"Oh, I'm from Solaceon Town in the Sinnoh region, far north of here. I used to help tend to the Pokemon in the Day Care there when I was younger, and before I left home to explore Sinnoh. I've travelled for a while," he added, almost as an afterthought.. 

 

Abra's head slowly drooped but he quickly looked back up again and snickered as Eevee ran around him...then he started falling back asleep.

 

Mrs Danlep gave him a curious look. "So...you're allowed to travel around all on your own ?" She asked.

Luna looked up at the mention of traveling alone. "Speaking of which...Drew is traveling to Goldenrod City and I was maybe wondering...well, you know how much I have wanted to go." She said.

Mrs Danlep sighed. "I wish I could give you an answer Luna...but its up to your parents, and they told me not to let you leave Olivine...i'm sorry Sugar." Luna nodded and took another bite of her food...obviously disappointed.

He thought he had rather impressed the woman with this argument, although he didn't know her well, so it was hard to tell. "I will admit, though, it does get lonely on the road sometimes without human company. I was hoping that Luna could come along - she's one of the best young trainers I've ever seen. With a bit of experience, she could be a champ... And I'd enjoy walking her along that journey... But I've traveled alone before. I suppose I can do so again." 

 

He had played his part well. Now he merely hoped it would work.

Luna gave Drew a thankful smile but Mrs Danlep looked down at her food...a little sadly. "I really wish I could say yes...but Luna's parents are close friends of mine and they told me not to let her leave to the city." She said, taking a bite of her pasta.

She thought for a moment then sighed. "Oh to hell with it. I will just say I let you go...you're parents will be angry but you two will be fine. " She said.

Luna's eyes sparkled and a smile spread across her face. "R-Really ? Oh my god...this...this is the best day of my LIFE." She said, grinning from ear to ear. "I gotta go pack...no wait, were we leaving today ? Or tomorrow ? Either way I gotta go pack." She said, eating the last bit of her pasta in almost one bite and running upstairs.

Mrs Danlep chuckled slightly and watched her go, then looked at Drew. "Her room is just up the stairs to the left if you want to go up. Is your Eevee hungry ? I have some berries and a few other Pokemon treats in the kitchen." She said, gesturing towards the door leading into the kitchen.

Vulpix stood tall, in a very serious attitude. She barely even flinched when the Nidoran greeted her. Oddish took a few steps back, and looked at the two.

 

Stella was just about ready to leave the area, hopefully, this could be resolved fairly quickly. 

 

((Sorry about short posts, having trouble thinking. As far as a time skip goes though (Since I don't feel like posting in the OOC ), I'm all for it.))

Riolu, who's back was facing Lairon, turned around as soon as Jasmine gave her Pokemon an order. But it was too late, Larion had already shot the white orb at Riolu who was forced back. However Riolu managed to catch the orb and planted his feet in the ground which caused him to skid along the metal ground. Soon Riolu stopped with the orb in between his paws and Riolu started glowing orange. "Wait is he gonna...." Leon started but before he could finish Riolu put one foot back and launched Larion's attack back at him. "Good going Riolu! We'll have this wrapped up in no time." Leon called out to his Pokemon who smiled and nodded back.

 

[i know Counter only works on Physical attacks in the games but for some reason I remember seeing it work on all attacks in the anime. To be honest I wanted to have Riolu use Arua Sphere but I thought it would be too strong at this point in the RP so I went with this instead.]

Luna gave Drew a thankful smile but Mrs Danlep looked down at her food...a little sadly. "I really wish I could say yes...but Luna's parents are close friends of mine and they told me not to let her leave to the city." She said, taking a bite of her pasta.

She thought for a moment then sighed. "Oh to hell with it. I will just say I let you go...you're parents will be angry but you two will be fine. " She said.

Luna's eyes sparkled and a smile spread across her face. "R-Really ? Oh my god...this...this is the best day of my LIFE." She said, grinning from ear to ear. "I gotta go pack...no wait, were we leaving today ? Or tomorrow ? Either way I gotta go pack." She said, eating the last bit of her pasta in almost one bite and running upstairs.

Mrs Danlep chuckled slightly and watched her go, then looked at Drew. "Her room is just up the stairs to the left if you want to go up. Is your Eevee hungry ? I have some berries and a few other Pokemon treats in the kitchen." She said, gesturing towards the door leading into the kitchen.

"Nah, she's fine, just a little sleepy," Drew said, nudging the brown ball that sat in his lap. "She doesn't do much but sleep, to tell the truth. Here," he said kindly, putting Eevee back in her Pokeball. "Thanks, though, Mrs. Danlep. I might go bother Luna. Make sure she knows what she needs to bring." He smiled at the woman before disappearing up the stairs after Luna.

Vulpix stood tall, in a very serious attitude. She barely even flinched when the Nidoran greeted her. Oddish took a few steps back, and looked at the two.

 

Stella was just about ready to leave the area, hopefully, this could be resolved fairly quickly.

Hustle and Bustle. The gigantic city of Goldenrod sprawled out before Stella's eyes. The fanstastic Pokemon Mall stood out among the buildings, being much taller than the surrounding ones. A map provided itself right next to the entrance, and it became apparent that Stella stood at the north gate of the town. The Bike shop was a few blocks south and east, the Global Trade Center was down for repairs, the Casino  was up and running as proudly as ever, and it appeared that the Day Care Couple was having a special egg giveaway event at a booth at the city's south gate, near the Pokemon Center.

The orb landed at Lairon's feet, where there had been a crack in the metal, and the earth had been exposed. Suddenly, a cloud of dust flew up about Lairon, obscuring it. With a shout from Jasmine, Lairon did something - Riolu could not see, but presumably some application of Earth Power - to make the dust cloud spread  around Riolu. Lairon could spring from any corner of it unexpectedly.

Goldenrod was an absolutely gorgeous city. The size of the city and number of people were both grand, and Stella quickly began to feel clausterphobic. She brushed the feelings of such away and looked at the map. The egg give away stated to be at the south end, according to one of the flyers, looked like something she would have to check out.

 

Stella began to quickly travel across the city, and arrived at the south end. She saw the egg giveaway, but also needed to rest her pokemon. So, she entered the near-by pokecenter and gave Nurse Joy the pokeball containing Oddish and the one containing Vulpix. Once they had been given back to her, Stella then went back outside to where the Day-care Couple were, though it didn't look like there were many eggs left.... For now, anyway
