Asher 101 March 20, 2013 Share March 20, 2013 I'm kind of new to being a brony (only about four months), and I personally LOVE celebrating Hearts and Hooves Day and Winter Wrap-Up! Am I alone in this? Signature by dear Sir Lunashy, a pony everypony should know.
WhiteLightning 339 March 20, 2013 Share March 20, 2013 Well, for me Hearts n' Hooves day not so much but I always celebrate Winter Wrap-Up by singing the song. Usually I would clear some snow but there's none right now, so.... Harmonic Revelations 8,835 March 20, 2013 Share March 20, 2013 No, I have never wished people a happy winter-wrap-up or whatnot. I don't celebrate real holidays that much either, so why celebrate ones from the show?
Asher 101 March 20, 2013 Author Share March 20, 2013 No, I have never wished people a happy winter-wrap-up or whatnot. I don't celebrate real holidays that much either, so why celebrate ones from the show? Because they're friggin amazing, that's why! Maybe the show would give you a good reason to celebrate the holidays; a better reason than a saleat WalMart on chocolate. Signature by dear Sir Lunashy, a pony everypony should know. Envy 6,163 March 20, 2013 Share March 20, 2013 No. And even if I did I would never celebrate "Winter Wrap-Up" because we haven't had a real winter where I live in two years. Even if we had a real winter for once it would be hard to get me to celebrate such a thing because Spring is bad season all around. The rest of the MLP holidays are really based off of real-life ones. I don't even identify myself as a "Brony" or a "Pegasis" or whatever, to begin with. So I'm far from being that obsessed. 1 Everything needs more woodwind!
Addem Up 246 March 20, 2013 Share March 20, 2013 My Winter was by no means wrapped up, but I did shovel a bunch of snow and sing the song. Does that count? And I remember that new-brony feel. Good times. And I dream of an absolution... Addem Up: http://mlpforums.com.../addem-up-r1792
askthetechbrony 30 March 20, 2013 Share March 20, 2013 I don't even identify myself as a "Brony" or a "Pegasis" Well, no offense, but this is the wrong forum for you then... But anyway, I don't celebrate any of the holidays (when would hearts and hooves day be? valentine's day?) If my guess in the parenthesis is true on that one day would be valentine's day, hearts and hooves day, and my birthday. I would have one busy day . Envy 6,163 March 20, 2013 Share March 20, 2013 Well, no offense, but this is the wrong forum for you then... Not quite. I enjoy watching the show, and I really do like it. I'm just not obsessed with it enough to give myself such a label. So, no, it's not the wrong forum for me. 1 Everything needs more woodwind! Kyoshi Frost Wolf 41,499 March 20, 2013 Share March 20, 2013 I do not but I really do not even celebrate any holidays to begin with. I just don't see much of a point to celebrating holidays as they just feel like any normal day to me anymore. Doesn't sound too exciting, but what can you do. I wouldn't mind celebrating MLP themed holidays if I actually had a bunch of people to do that with. Most of the MLP holidays are basically real holidays, but they just make it seem so much more fun. Fhaolan 4,483 March 20, 2013 Share March 20, 2013 Yep! Winter Wrap Up this year was moving early seedlings into a protected greenhouse, disconnecting the water heaters for the livestock and putting them away so they don't rot before winter next year, seeding the horse pastures that we're going to let fallow this year, preparing for our sheep to lamb, and gathering deadfall to be burned when it stops raining. Hearts and Hooves day, I tend to put little decorations on the various stalls and shelters. My wife hasn't quite clued in to why I'm doing that stuff, and why I tend to hum certain songs while doing it.
Starflower 323 March 20, 2013 Share March 20, 2013 (edited) I definitely celebrated most of the holidays. Winter Wrap Up would be one of them, and I also celebrated Hearts & Hooves day. I thought it'd be quite fun to celebrate them involving ponies. My favorite would be Hearts & Hooves Day so far, because I actually celebrated the day with bronies. It was a great day. Lucifer 230 March 20, 2013 Share March 20, 2013 If by celebrating you do mean eating chocolate, then yes, I do legitimately celebrate holidays. I don't actually celebrate holidays. I most likely congratulate specific days, such as Christmas, Easter, Valentine's Day, what so ever. Oh wait, you were talking about Winter-Wrap-Up? Sorry, wasn't reading the topic title. Anyways, I somewhat celebrate them festive times, sometimes. 1 ~Nothing is sad. Greyeye 10 March 20, 2013 Share March 20, 2013 well I may not celebrate the FIM holidays I do see the appeal. But there mostly just the some holidays we already have. Hearts warming eve = Christmas heart&hooves =valentines day/ singles awareness day Nightmare night = Halloween etc. but no-matter what you call them its almost the same holiday and a lot of the others have to do with changing the seasons which unfortunately change them selfs. If on the off chance we become a domed society (say space colonies) where we do Chang the seasons I would love to celebrate Winter wrap up, Running of the leaves and alike. Klopp 2,050 March 20, 2013 Share March 20, 2013 I don't particularly celebrate many actual holidays anyways, so I wouldn't bother to take the time to celebrate a fake one from a show about ponies. It is a bit silly celebrating Hearts and Hooves day though, since it is basically just Valentines Day with ponies. Same goes for Hearth's Warming Eve, cause it's kinda like pony Christmas. The only one we don't really have is Winter Wrap up, and that's because we don't control our own weather like ponies. :3 Winter Wrap Up would be pretty cool to do as a pony though, but unfortunately we cannot quite do the same kind of shtuff in our own world here. :3
Scootalove 10,689 March 20, 2013 Share March 20, 2013 I legitimately celebrate holidays like Winter Wrap-Up, and I would celebrate more if I had more bronies and pegasisters where I live. Credit: Moony © Forum FAQ Forum Rules
Emerald Flame 381 March 20, 2013 Share March 20, 2013 No. The most I'll do is watch the episode on the holiday, and I haven't even been doing that lately. I was going to watch Winter Wrap Up last night, but I got home from work at about 7:30, and I was too tired.
d-_-b BassPony 11 March 20, 2013 Share March 20, 2013 I do love MLP, but I wouldn't celebrate any of their holidays. For one, where I'm from, winter doesn't exist. And I'm not THAT obsessed. I'd only watch the show and talk about it with people who actually like it too. But I do label myself as a brony.
Arylett Charnoa 4,919 March 21, 2013 Share March 21, 2013 Not really, no. I don't celebrate them because I honestly just... haven't thought much of them when I'm celebrating normal holidays. When it's Christmas, I think it's Christmas. Not Hearth's Warming Eve. (Which is kind of a mouthful to say anyway. Seriously, try saying: "Happy Hearth's Warming Eve" a few times) Though if I do remember, I'll make an occasional reference to it to another pony fan if I'm happening to be talking to them. Like if it's Valentine's Day, I might go "Happy Heart's and Hooves Day." And leave it at that. Probably the closest I get to it. As for Winter Wrap-up, it does not snow here. Like, at all. Winter is just kind of, oh, everything's a bit colder. So even if I did have interest in celebrating it, I wouldn't really. Aether Velvet is the name of the OC in my avatar. Drawn by me.
